This tutorial is good for beginners, but the materials like skins and character animation part is sometimes very complex.

I followed everything in the video, the names and files have been set correctly, but unfortunate I still get missing textures.

Hey. I need your help. I'm trying to use Toothless blender model into SFM model, but the qc file's not there. Can you tell me how to make my qc file?
You make a QC file by making a text document and then saving it as (file name) "QC" but be aware it won't have anything in it. So you'll have to get all the code from an already existing source. Unless you know and want to write that all yourself.
1:41 how do you save it as a QC? the option doesn't come up for me and it just saves as a text file.
You save the file as (file name, whatever the hell you named it) ".qc" at the end (no quotations around that either)

just paste the models and materials folder directly into usemod, they go where they need to automatically
@@sodemz Where in the usermod folder though? Do I past it in folder? or do I paste it in models? also I made the textures using the coloring hex code in Blender

every time I try, it doesn't work. it keeps saying "unknown location"
In Crowbar, it pops up a message saying "Model attempted to load one or more VMTs it can't find." and I dunno what to do about it
What would I do if the material wouldn't show in the model view window even if I did everything right?

I can't tell if "notepad++,, is working correctly, because "crowbar,, doesn't see my pc.(file). But I noticed that the first pc. (file) in the description under the video is different from what is shown in the video, it looks like one of them is wrong.
3:30 for some reason it wont let me change the output file. the option is simply greyed out and is stuck on a game called age of chivalry, despite the fact that i don't own that game.
use sfm in set up game

the blue console is notepad ++ you'll have to download it, and you can just save it wherever

you can see what is written in the console, the reason should be written there, also check if the textures are where they need to be

it's easy, you just have to decompile the .mdl using crowbar, then import the .smd file or the QC file to blender
NGL this needs a masive update,

Sorry about not answering your questions but. I made this after being stuck, and I haven't used Source stuff for a while and don't know anything anymore. I forgot everything and would need to re-tech myself to properly answer questions.

i just create txt and chenge from name.txt to name.qc and open with nomepad(name is exaple u can name what u wont)

If I remember correctly, It needs to have collision otherwise it would be just a static effect rather than a ragdoll.
