Thanks so much for introducing me to Air Choice One! I didn't know it existed until I saw your first video. I have now taken it out of O'Hare and back twice and absolutely love it!! Such an awesome experience cruising at 7000ft and looking at the beautiful scenery below. And you can't beat coming into Ohare over the city then looking out the front landing on the runway. I was assigned to sit right behind the pilot and was able to check the instrumentation. The plane I had outbound had a standard 6 pack, and inbound had a G1000. So cool - looking forward to my next flight.
Jacob, I’ve said before and I’ll say it again. I am a HUGE fan of your channel. I just love the travel videos you post. I love your Amtrak videos especially, since I’m a fanatic when it comes to trains. You always post some interesting content. Would love to hear back from you. Stay safe in these crazy times, and keep up the good work!
United EXpress aka Great lakes used to fly 1900s and EM2s into BRL ...If you remember the crash at Quincy the flt stopped in BRL before coming to Quincy also Ozark fle the Fairchilds in there and when those phased out they had the DC-9 into BRL
this reminds me of my childhood years. we boarded at ground level like this. a 707, ( up the stairs lol0 and a 727 as well. outside. its interesting seeing the airport from a position nowadays used mainly by airport personnel only
You flew with Air Choice One from St Louis to Decatur to Chicago twice already, but the interesting thing is, as of a few weeks ago, Decatur declined to pick up Air Choice One's contract for 2018. They now are going to be served via United and SkyWest (pending DOT approval)
I want to give an update here. DOT actually denied Decatur and chose Cape Air over SkyWest, mainly because it was going to cost them 700,00$ more then Cape Air. Service is supposed to start in February but SkyWest filed an appeal. Its become a really messy situation
TEC I don't remember how I found your channel, I don't have any specific interest in elevators, flights, hotels, or transportation (though I do love travelling & seeing new things). I am sure happy to have found these videos though(: I really enjoyed this trip- thank you for taking the time to make captions and describe the subtleties going on that most people never think about. I appreciate the education & having someone sharing the knowledge in a way that makes it fairly easy for a layman to understand. I thought that the red & white Grand Caravan was a beautiful plane, and it looked like whoever designed the interior took some pride in their work. I have been watching some of your other videos, and really enjoyed some of the train videos. I have always been a bit fearful, or apprehensive, of transportation other than car- not because of danger, but because of not knowing how to use it (how to plan something like a train/bus trip, where/when to arrive, the smaller details and technicalities that only become familiar with experience). Thank you very much for the videos. Congratulations on your home. I've already looked at a 3rd party Amtrak booking site that has fares from ~$18 one way & I'm going to look into taking a couple short train trips to get a little more familiar with how to navigate schedules, tickets, etc. I am realizing how spoiled I have become from having a drivers license & car. Thanks for giving me the courage to get out of my comfort zone & experience the world a bit more ;) I wish you continued success in 2019
First things first, I really like your video. I'm originally from southeast Iowa myself. :) I might consider trying Air Choice One as part of my flight to my parents' farm for holiday visits. Second, I think a flight from St. Louis to Las Vegas might be interesting. There is a nonstop flight between the two cities on Frontier Airlines. And don't forget to do a hotel tour of one of the resorts on the Strip! :)
Do you have airsickness issues on these flights? I rode an EAS flight PIT-HGR-IAD in a Piper prop plane, and I must say, it was the closest I've ever come to throwing up on a plane.
You stayed at the Hotel Allegro? I remember staying there a couple years ago! Did you get a chance to film a full vid of the elevators there? Also, did you get to check out the massive atrium at the Thomson Center where you got on the Blue Line? It's pretty amazing to see in person!
The checked bag issue at STL,not being allowed to take it inside the terminal, that's just crazy! Will we see a Hotel Allegro review soon? I'm guessing you don't get any frequent flyer mileage for this trip but for $90 and gorgeous river views, who can complain?
I last Tuesday had to go through Ohare Airport to get back home. Basically I have T Mobile and my mom does too but the prepaid one and we have T Mobile Tuesday on our smartphones so we can get free stuff. This month T Mobile is giving away free 5 dollar meal from Hardee's and this past Tuesday it was my mom's turn. So I had my friend take me to Hardee's and I got it. On our way back to the nursing home where my mom is and I was keeping my electric wheelchair at we went to Wal-Mart to look around but unfortunately we lost track of time and by the time I we got back to the nursing home and I got to the Dempster Skokie station on The CTA Yellow Line I was being followed by a very creepy women and thanks to her I missed the last Pace Bus going towards Davis Stop in Downtown Evanston so I can get back home. So I had to take the last Pace Bus going towards Ohare Airport and take the CTA Blue Line to Jackson and originally I was going to take the CTA Red Line to Howard Street CTA Station but my battery was almost dead so I took the CTA 22 Bus and got off at Howard Street CTA Station. At the station I had to charge the battery so I can get myself home from the station being it's about 2 blocks from the station. By the time I got back home it was literally going on 5 AM in the morning and I still had to go out to this food pantry in Evanston at night so as you can probably imagine I stayed home that day and just went to the food pantry and came back. But Ohare Airport looked pretty with the Christmas Lights they have decorated it did cheer me up a little bit then I was before.

Great video! That was so nice what you did for Sandy at the end. You’re a true gentleman.

I love the feeling of Terminals two and three out of O’hare. Really classy
Great video man. Captured everything I love about where I'm going and where I'm at.
Plus more.
Cape Air handles the EAS flights in Montana. A lot of fun to fly on those 10-seater Cessna 402C, and great views of the Montana scenery!
I used to fly STL-COU in TW Express's Metros. So, I can agree with ya on this view of STL on a smaller bird.
O hare station is absolutely beautiful

23:53 - Sandy's family waving her goodbye!
Great to see this video. I am actually planning to fly Air Choice One myself in a few weeks, as an interesting way of getting from ORD to STL.
It’s nice seeing another airline like southwest appreciate STL and not ignore it like some airlines do

MajorIdontcare Air Choice is one is now flying to ATL as well.
I’m considering doing this but in reverse. Chicago to St. Louis.
Another great video from The Elevator Channel

southwest started flights to cancun
I am planning on flying for Air Choice One once I am qualified..

I saw baggage claim on the sign going into the terminal at BRL, what did that look like 😂😂?

Are you going to fly on Cape Air or fly out of MidAmerica Airport (BLV) off of I-64?
You stayed at the Hotel Allegro? I remember staying there a couple years ago! Did you get a chance to film a full vid of the elevators there? Also, did you get to check out the massive atrium at the Thomson Center where you got on the Blue Line? It's pretty amazing to see in person!
Burlington terminal looks more like a waiting room at a doctors office.
Ovator 2168 haha
@Ovator2186 ikr
Cape Air weighs people too. you can only use the flight on your ticket.
Great job Jacob.

You can now fly to Atlanta on Air choice one
You're not really "in the suburbs" on that section of the Blue Line.
Burlington would be Southeast Iowa Regional Airport not southwest, great video though!
You should take friends and do an ACO flight to Jackson Tn and go to Reggies BBQ. Very good food!!
