Hi Matt - looks like a fun flight. May I suggest some standard checklist items (I fly the 700B with the Garmin stack for the past 3 years and with Simcom training), other than 850 mode they're very similar. 1) Trims and flaps are set before taxiing, and re-checked again during the run-up. 2) Not sure if it was edited out, there didn't seem to be a run-up procedure 3) When you get on the runway, go to 40% torque prior to releasing brakes to make sure everything is still in the green before setting T/O power. 4) Once you rotate turn on the Yaw Damper - that will remove the need to put a rudder inputs (you mentioned left rudder on climb... should not be required). Sequence I use is tap the brakes, gear-up, flaps-up, yaw-damper. On the newer Garmin AP/s the YD will also take care of the rudder trim and make life a lot easier. IMHO - The standard checklist re-checks critical items at least two times to greatly reduce the chances of something being forgotten. Enjoy the flight. -Jordan
Very cool! The TBM is one of my very favorite airplanes. Somebody gave this 850 a lot of love/upgrades! It's just beautiful. My personal choice would have been black interior w/ dark red 2-tone light red exterior. But I'm old, I like cold colors. LOL The PT6 is also such an awesome power choice. 3600 TBO, and I think I heard the new ones are even more!! Cool! Thanks for filming the trip Matt!! At 72, my days of doing this are over. I appreciate riding along here very much!! Be safe! Peace --gary
Sounds like a typical Mexico Customs experience - I’ve found that if I had more than one of anything electronic, it is immediately asserted (in fact, assumed) that you’re importing it for sale and it needs to be taxed right here, right now.
Hi Matt, so happy for you that you get to travel around in your TBM. Hey I have a question, do you know the Font of your immatriculation? The writing style. It looks so good and I want the same just different colors on my plane. Thanks
Possibly referring to a certification requirement that since about 2017 has since been replaced in the USA. The older requirement was for a single engine GA aircraft to have a maximum stall speed of no more than 61 knots.
@ A reference to a stall speed or speeds no longer applies. I’m far from qualified to speak to the subject but here is a reference in the current regulations. Refer to: 14 CFR 23.2110 copied below - www.ecfr.gov/current/title-14/section-23.2110 The applicant must determine the airplane stall speed or the minimum steady flight speed for each flight configuration used in normal operations, including takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, and landing. The stall speed or minimum steady flight speed determination must account for the most adverse conditions for each flight configuration with power set at- (a) Idle or zero thrust for propulsion systems that are used primarily for thrust; and (b) A nominal thrust for propulsion systems that are used for thrust, flight control, and/or high-lift systems. Crash??? 💥 clickbate to gain viewer. Does it need this? I don’t think so. I wouldn’t mess around with such words. Bad Habits. Have a save and good flight. 😊
Really enjoying your second trip around the globe, thanks Matt for taking us along!
And so the second trip begins in a little more comfortable airplane. Thumbs up 👍 thanks for sharing your journey. 😊
The TBM is a much more comfortable aircraft fo another around the world flight. And I love the smiley that the paint makes in the front. woot!
Great Job Team! Thanks for the ride.

What app were you using on your phone when copying your IFR clearance?
Great video✈️
@6:47 what is that black pimple looking thing pointing forward on the wing? Is that a feature reserved for turbo prop airplanes?
Weather radar
Matt made the watching go through a checklist interesting by combineing with orienting the passeonger/co--pilot on the plane/model. .
How do you copy lengthy IFR clearance with finger writing on small phone screen?? Then, how is it evenly legible for readback??
What was the purpose of the new nose stripes ?
Such talent, Matt!
What came flying over the fuselage at about 2:40?
Can you publish, either here or your website, your proposed flight path?
Nice airplane
Did they try to charge you duty fees on your camera gear?
Hey there! When you said single engine aircraft must have a stall speed below 65 kts, what is that in reference to?

@@Lightning72able Thank you very much
crash course might not be the best term in aviation :)
Clickbait is the idea.
❤
Matt, how many hours do you have meanwhile ? Thanks & take care 👌👌
How do you fit in the front seat of the Tbm
It's very roomy
Using the word "crash" in an airplane video title? 🤔
clever
Clickbait
🐐

Clickbait.
Please don't use the word "crash" in the title of any of your vids! Thanks!
His passenger said “there was my crash course “. Seems a legitimate use of the term for the title
I'm retired you should have taken me. At least I have a sense of humor lol.
lol that guy was so lucky to go but had no personality
