Honestly I wish Tony would do the same thing he did with the Heaven and Hell band with Tony Martin. Do a greatest hits album of the Tony Martin years, maybe play a show or two, release that as a live DVD. Maybe write new music with the HEADLESS CROSS band (Martin + Iommi)
@@integrity101 Tony Iommi is busy writing solo material along with working with Sergio Momo fragrance company and has the upcoming Birmingham Ballet showcase in September . He just performed live in Birmingham England with the Hollywood Vampires on July 12th playing Paranoid for the encore. Geezer Butler has retired from touring and so has Tony. There are no plans to record under the name Heaven and Hell with anyone else. Tony Iommi turned down the Sabbath show Power Trip Heavy Metal Festival to concentrate on his projects.
Thanks for sharing. I saw Geezer when he was out touring with Steve Stevens and Matt Sorum with their band "Deadland Ritual" in a small club back east. Really a good show, nothing wrong with it at all but, I remember Geezer saying that he'll never tour again after it. Too old and too much to be going around sleeping in tour busses and Holiday Inn's like it was the 1970's. Remembering him saying it was just too much. And as for Tony, hes up there in age and struggles with his cancer as well. A performance here and there is to be expected but any new reform of a band and world tours is not going to happen, i do not think. However new music i am sure will come about. There’s a movie called black and blue. Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult toured together and filmed it. It was released on video, but not on DVD I have seen it on RUclips at times.
The Tony Martin Era Deluxe box set should be the top priority for the next release for the Sabbath fans followed by a remix of the Born Again tapes.
