Many coffee shops here in British Columbia offer matcha drinks. The best ones make their drinks with quality matcha, and leave it to the customer to decide how much sweetener (if any) to add. As the reporter says - "not too sweet" is usually better :-)

抹茶って案外受けがいいんだな。甘過ぎないのがいいらしい。KITKATも日本土産の定番。一方日本人だって、日本国内のカフェじゃ抹茶ラテは当たり前にある。世界のどこでもレギュラーメニューになって、コーヒーに飽きたらたまには抹茶、そういう風に定着したらいいなって思う。
