I have seen Roger in concert 4 times. The last time, so many people walked out, they moved me from upper balcony to 8 rows back in the middle aisle. It was awesome.

The 1987 KAOS performances particularly in West Palm Beach Florida in 1999 was absolutely a dream.. in 1987 witnessed the first 10 performances what a wonderful memory.. thank you very much Roger you are a Wonder.. you are what God wants ..

Roger is a force of nature, even gettin older. His views on life, strong opinions were the core of the Floyd at the time I think.
I don’t know - if I had an hour or so to interview Roger , it wouldn’t be endless political and current affair questions .
No questions like “ Can money but happiness?” … and the like
I think most are aware of his views of Israel and the like .
There are surely some amazing stories and insight to be had regarding his lengthy career.
I guess I’ll have to wait for his memoir to be released .

Knowing what Roger stands for and what he believes in ....and doesn't believe in...I watch this video...and I listen to him and what he says and how he feels and see how he treats people and when I feel the love that comes from him to others....my heart grows three times it size.
To me , he is a person who has been set free....he not only loves others but he truly loves himself .....He LIKES Himself...What a good funny caring giving Homosapien Sapien he is - one who actually really doesn't give a s___t about what others think !
By being his true , happy , selfless Self - he sends such an important message..... AND THAT IS :
REAL , TRUE JOY , comes from helping others... Love for others just pours out of him - he ignites the love in others , thus it spreads...thank you -

I agree with most of what you said, but the way he sacked Rick Wright of Pink Floyd was out of order. Roger thought he was bigger than Pink Floyd and in the end his ego destroyed Pink Floyd when the band had years ahead of them. But hey, no one's perfect.

But . if you're watching because you're interested to know what kind of person Roger Waters is.....?
I think there is a 1 min. that defines the kind of guy Roger is - and it's when he is asked to help take care of the Spider, That speaks volumes as they say. That's our guy !

It is Cormac McCarthy.... I loved the poem as well. Cormac is an Author and Movies have been made from them.... I'm glad I watched this as I had sort of Forgotten Cormac and how unique an Author he is.

Idk but I've always been in the Gilmour camp. Stupid, really because I don't know any of them. But as they grow older I feel like I'm liking Roger more and more and David feels more and more "royaltyish" as he gets older. Serving only platitudes in interviews these days. Not saying I dislike him but I kinda like Roger more and more. I love them both but while Roger seems more and more human I feel David is becoming more "nose in the air". Can't explain really and if so he probably has his reasons?!. Idk. Just a feeling I've got. Simply... Roger seems more open and David more "grey old English man stereotypical" today. To be honest, I watched floyd live 94 and as amazing the show was I miss them all together. And I don't care for Rogers solo music at all. I think they needed each others imo to make that macig they did.
My initial comment was really only how I feel about how they're so different and that my opinion about Roger has changed somewhat. He seems more human these days while David feels mor reclusive. Thanks for the link😊

This is exactly why I feel Pink Floyd lost their edge when Roger left. I could listen to him talk all day and all his hard work with his solo career has paid off as he is the relevant one now, which is amazing after having to play in smaller venues while pink floyd were playing in huge venues all over the world singing his lyrics.

I agree. A quick tale if I may: Years ago my best friend at the time ( sadly lost years ago ) calls me at 4 in the afternoon and says:
" We're going to catch Rogers show tonight. It turns out that earlier that day he heard Roger call in at KLOL in Houston and state that he was disappointed at the ticket sales for the venue, everywhere else his shows were selling great. So off we left and were awarded one of the best shows we've ever seen. He performed ( as he said on the call ), the first hour his solo stuff- the second half Pink Floyd.
I'll end on this: there were two female backup singers ( one black, the other white ) their voices added such a wonderfully soulful texture.
Oh yeah, Roger wasn't that bad either...Ha!

Totally agree the lyrics formed an integral part of the greatest Pink Floyd songs and it feels strange watching the band perform without Roger. Somehow I feel it was Rogers's vision behind the great PF albums DSOTM, WYWH and The Wall.
