I am suffering from anxiety and depression and I was literally in tears when doc was talking about what we feel and how people dont understand what we go through. I have lots of physical problems.Had few surgeries but nothing is as painful and dark as mental illness.Hope nobody ever goes through it.@Ranveer-Thanks for taking this topic. Also this episode was more towards self diagnosing,substance,etc..More towards exploiting mental health terms..It would be good if you can let doctor talk more about us.What a patient goes through, out struggles etc which will help others to understand our problem better. We keep hearing comments like everyone has depression, its all in the mind ,etc which hurts most.
I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for 6 months and let me tell you it was the toughest experience that I had to undergo in my life. Trust me I consider myself very strong mentally and despite that i struggled every day. Also, I was living in a new city alone and that made it worse. By God's grace, I was able to come out of it, but i would always remember that phase as the darkest phase in my life! 😢

My mother was suffering from hearing voices in her mind, depression and anxiety since 2010 but got diagnosed for the first time in 2013 when the condition was critical, in 2014 she lost her husband and became the sole bread earner of the family, we struggled to make ends meet but somehow she kept pushing herself for her kids, during the end of 2019 things became very nasty and she was again diagnosed in 2020 and had to live through it through the pandemic, it was so horrible a situation that only she knows, today is the day after my 19th birthday and I can't cry but say she is again going back down the same spiral of things, she woke me up and said "beta doctor ke le chal chakkar aa rah hai", probably I am most heart broken and feared now in my life, the only thing I wish from god is the good health of my mother, I hope she fights her way out of this, she will. Thanks Ranveer for this episode, I was looking for something that would make me feel empathetic towards my mother.
I’m very sorry you and your mother are going through so much. Sending her so much love and healing. Please take care of yourself as well, do things that make you happy so you can help her as well. Wishing her good health and happiness!
Can you please invite a child neurologist? This is very important as most of the parents don’t know how to identify any mental problems of newly born baby …
As a fellow psychiatrist, I was very happy to see the podcast. Covered a range of topics from anxiety/depression to adult ADHD and cannabis addiction. These are so relevant to the youth today. You surely understand the pulse of the new generation. Mental health is such a large and often misunderstood field that more such episodes would really help to reduce the barriers/misconceptions in seeking help.
Hey there.. I am 18 and just started my college and I have facing many problems in my day to day life for 2 years because of adhd , I was a very good student till my 10th std and then in my 11 and 12 grade I started failing my exams , I try very hard to focus but I am not able to do it I cannot afford medication or therapy and my parents also will not take me seriously Do you have some suggestions that I can do to improve this condition that could help me pls
Hey ! Med student here , please don't seek treatment on RUclips, or any other social media , best is to go to a board certified psychiatrist ! Many people who did their treatment medically and scientifically are now very happy in life doing great. Best of luck@@rashmichaudhari5974
Can't wait to dive in. I know already that this episode is gonna be AMAZING. Dr. Samir Parikh is remarkable at what he does. I was truly lucky I got to attend a workshop conducted by him at Fortis, almost six years back now, in eighth grade and until now, I haven't been able to forget that experience of how he encouraged us to brainstorm and think about doing our bit for the environment. Him talking about the Global Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) that day is something that has stuck with me and I'd bet I still even have the carbon footprint activity he engaged the participants in alongside Ms. Divya. Seeing his face on the thumbnail instantly brought all of those memories back. ABSOLUTELY SUPERB TO SEE HIM ON TRS! ❤ ALL THE BIOLOGY PODCASTS ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITES!
This is truly one of the best podcasts ever! I am a student of psychology and have done a couple of online internships from fortis mental health and I admire Dr. Samir Parikh's wisdom Thank you Ranveer bhaiya for bringing him and thank you Dr. Samir Parikh for inspiring us
I was suffering from pcods due to which there is always fluctuation on my hormones level. It leads me always being sadness, depressed and mentally unwell. After trying for so much of medical treatment for pcods, it couldn't help for longer time instead it got more worsen. As I started changing my lifestyle , my diet , my sleeping pattern and more importantly as i started doing meditation and gratitude morning and evening it helped me so much. I am so much relief and relaxed now. So , i recommend everyone to do deep breathing and gratitude meditation at least for 10-15min each day. It is one of the key medication for upliftment of mental health.❤😊

I see few depressants blaming people for not understanding what they go through. Actually they don't understand coz those depressed people never explained what they actually go through. And it's no one's fault. U get it only when you go through it. So be kind to everyone.
I have been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and PTSD. I have been battling this , been on medications for 2.5 years. Now trying to wean off medicines and manage. I have been in therapy for 2 years , I would say medicines saved me in critical moments because my state was such that I couldn’t get out of bed, pins and needles sensation in arms and legs due to anxiety. Now I’m much better but I have a long journey to go and I refuse to give up. One day I’ll come out of this. I pray that no one has to go through what I have been through. I hope to recover and help others who are in similar boat
I've been suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, adhd , ocd, since 3 yrs most prominently, i have it since i was 11 years, but it worsen when i was 15, im turning 19 in jan 2025, lately i went to nimhans, Bangalore, my docs said that, i have a genetic ocd and that caused me all the other mental health issues, and ocd fluctuates, which I've experienced that at some point of my life, i just feel like im out of this ocd trap and at some point im again there, i must say this is hell and ive left Medicines and therapy cus im just tired of running to docs and docs and docs, but a free advice which i would give to ocd patient from my personal experience is that, just ignore it if u feel like following your belief or rituals ik it would scare u at first but just think for once, take a chance or a risk, trust me its soo helpful you may feel like if u dont flw it , it will harm your loved ones buut please do try this!! whenever u feel like doing the ritual, just resist yourself , this has helped me 90% in my ocd
I was diagnose with schizophrenia for about 3 month now. Dealing with mental health is hard but do able. I can't control the thought inside my mind not only that I keep hearing many voice at once. It was making me go mad even to the point I no longer in control of myself. Now with God help I can control my symptoms and I am doing fine. So don't lose hope , keep fighting, put smile on your face and go on with your life. You got this ❤❤❤
By any chance ranveer bhai can you invite Dr Alok kanoja ( Dr k ) on the show who runs Healthy gamers youtube channel. He has very interesting thoughts on idea related to this . He even follows you . Hopefully we can see the collab.
Going through absolute low phase in my life rn. Its only getting worse every single day.😣 Thank you for bringing this episode. Hope to find a way out. Looking forward to seeing more episodes on mental health ❤💫
You definitely have my sub. This content is next level. For me Unimantic was the turning point. Please keep doing what you do and keep being you, love it
Thank you to Dr Sameer! 2008 it was his diagnosis and his support for a year ! I came out of that horrendous experience of bipolar disorder! He’s the best!
As someone who was builled by teachers themselves for being a quiet and sensitive kid, i don't think the cases of bullying are even taken seriously in our society
Wonderful episode. One more thing I have heard even from many people including few doctors even in social media the upsurge of wifi towers in the cities have led to more psychiatric and psychological problems than earlier days. Wifi towers not only affect physically but even brain related issues. How true that is God knows.
I am so glad that someone is talking about the exact scenario about mental illness , being diagnosed professionally I had faced a lot of hurdles from society and everyone would come and just say ki you are doing it purposefully to gain attention And the main struggle was to face the fear that comes with such diagnosis because there is no authentic information on it .... And facing everything alone because nobody would understand what I was going through ... But I am glad that I am strong , I stood strong and believed on my doctor instead of society , I faced everything and I got my life back This video is definately going to help many people facing this issue who are diagnosed professionally!
To everyone here struggling with any kind of mental illness let me tell you with 100% conviction "You are very strong er than the rest of the world. You are a super hero. "
I work with some of the best coaches who are also biohackers in the world in California. His clients go through mental depression, suicidal thoughts but it all comes down to your irregular hormones, vitamins, etc. if you’re thinking you’re depressed, first go to get your blood tested and improve your levels. Focus on exercise, sleep and a clean, healthy protein rich diet. I guarantee you’re not going to be depressed again.
This is a wrong explanation. You cannot repress the actuality of their causes. You aren't in someone else's body. That's what this doctor has addressed. All over internet are some crummy advices for the same. Go to a mental health practitioner, you'll really know the roots
As someone who was constantly builled by teachers themseleves for being a quiet sensitive kid, i have low expectations that our society will ever get rid of this mindset
Didn't agree with some things. Dr. Parikh simply talks in a superficial manner and doesn't deep dive into any of the illnesses. This podcast didn't offer anything more than what tiktok reels offer 😢
"Bringing these professionals on your channel a testament to your commitment to excellence and expertise. Their presence will undoubtedly elevate the quality and depth of your content, offering unparalleled insights to your audience..... we need more professionals like him thanks for doing this for us.... !! ❤
being from psychology background i feel that this podcast cant be judged psychology is a very vast field and the questions asked by ranveer could have been better i felt that it was all around alchol anxiety cannabis anger. the series of questions could have been better and i found it very awkward that the explanations werent upto the mark because of the questions asked abruptly. thats all my personal opinion.
God bless you.. thru this podcast … you have created so much psycho education and awareness regarding mental health … practicing as a psychologist for last 25 years… l still feel there is so much to do for destigmatizing mental issues 🙏🏻
Ranveer you cannot just say that people are using cannabis just because it is common in your circle… don’t just pass statements like that. If possible give numbers and talk that would be better 👍🏻
This episode is of great help to me. I am suffering from Anxiety and Depression. I was thinking I have ADHD then i got diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression. The medicine the doc gave me it helped me when i took it at night slept and woke up i had high serotonin happy feelings. But i work night shift so the treatment failed. I am currnty trying to give up my substance use.
Start watching spiritual videos about mind, its nature and emotions. Sadhguru talks in depth about it. You'll come our of your situation own your own n become wiser. Health to you 👍🏻
Knowledge is power, learn the propaganda techniques of the wicked, learn the fallacies they use while arguing, so you can figure out the truth, but don't be like them. Learn basic logic. To know yourselves use astrology. For food if they deprive you out of it - Buy some roasted chickpeas chanas, with water you can make sattu and be energized, if possible go to a langar, the energy of sikh people will touch your wounded heart. If there are psychopaths involved, no contact is the best solution.
This is a much needed conversation. There are millions suffering from mental illness and most are not able to get the help they need. Our society is doomed if something is not done. God help us.
This doctor has bad ratings everywhere in the internet . It’s like no one gives a shit about him. Many unhappy patients he has . You can check the reviews . Bring healthy gamer RUclips channel guy . Alok Kanojia . Alok talks more deeply about anxiety , adhd and all other mental illnesses. I guess he is far better. Also he is from USA . Even if he has 12 years experience or more I am not sure , his experience will add more weightage because he comes from USA . Try watching his videos you will know what I am saying .
I don't know whether I should be happy that someone is talking about mental health or I should be sad, people will always be ready to hurt other people without knowing the cost of it. Sometimes the person who is in depression also doesn't know that they are in depression, please be aware of what you are speaking. I strongly feel we are evolving in other ways but as human community we are de-evolving, we are in 2024 still we don't know how to speak with others and how to treat others.
Buddy Sushant was murdered!!!! He was a topper he had no signs of depression!!! Lets not bring SSR in this topic😢. Our justice is screwed up, power and money can corrupt anything in India.
I’ve been through anxiety disorder 10 years back. Came out of it strong as hell. It has relapsed a week back, the suffering is even more intense this time. Such a coincidence that this episode aired now. I feel I’ll come out even stronger this time 💪🏻
@@Gojo-cu7uiI’m seeing my family physician daily before I leave for work. I have my business partner around me all the time for the last 1 week, just in case I freak out to a bad episode. One thing I know it’s a phase, that’ll go in a few days.
@@Gojo-cu7ui not bipolar. It’s anxiety disorder where there are bodily symptoms, symptoms that my brain is aware of, which i may not have had before. But my brain tells me that I’m suffering through it, and I feel it. Vitals are all normal. All reports done.

Why are you beeping out pandemic or covid??
I was in depression like saddness..... once I started Hanuman chalisa...now i m totally free from it...jay bajrangbali
I have gone through anxiety periods. Used to chant Hanuman chalisa and Vishnu Sahasranamam daily. It helped me a lot.

Is Deepika face of mental health issues in India?? 😂 😂😂

More of these podcast are required to create awareness on this topic. Thankyou for such a insightful podcast
Medications helped me a lot
You should have talked about OCD. It’s very hidden
And wrongly interpreted.
I am so glad that someone is talking about the exact scenario about mental illness , being diagnosed professionally I had faced a lot of hurdles from society and everyone would come and just say ki you are doing it purposefully to gain attention
And the main struggle was to face the fear that comes with such diagnosis because there is no authentic information on it ....
And facing everything alone because nobody would understand what I was going through ...
But I am glad that I am strong , I stood strong and believed on my doctor instead of society , I faced everything and I got my life back
This video is definately going to help many people facing this issue who are diagnosed professionally!
Iam 62 yrs and a divorcee widow feeling lonely, and depressed anxiety is there need a companion due to our society, no one will agree yo marry me.
As someone who was constantly builled by teachers themseleves for being a quiet sensitive kid, i have low expectations that our society will ever get rid of this mindset
You should have covered diseases like schizophrenia

Due to smoking weed and doing drugs at the age of 17, I suffered from HPPD syndrome. I hope this comment reaches to Ranveer.
I need serious help.
Everthing was admirable except for controversial death of sushant called as suicide due to mental health.

Oh my God! Somebody from the subcontinent just talked about adult ADHD!!!!
Didn't agree with some things. Dr. Parikh simply talks in a superficial manner and doesn't deep dive into any of the illnesses. This podcast didn't offer anything more than what tiktok reels offer 😢
The only thing that got me out of depression is 1) Yoga 2) compassion key 3) sound healing
Thank you for having the conversation in English. I don't understand Hindi. This is helpful
"Bringing these professionals on your channel a testament to your commitment to excellence and expertise. being from psychology background i feel that this podcast cant be judged psychology is a very vast field and the questions asked by ranveer could have been better i felt that it was all around alchol anxiety cannabis anger. the series of questions could have been better and i found it very awkward that the explanations werent upto the mark because of the questions asked abruptly.
thats all my personal opinion.
God bless you.. thru this podcast … you have created so much psycho education and awareness regarding mental health … practicing as a psychologist for last 25 years… l still feel there is so much to do for destigmatizing mental issues 🙏🏻
Ranveer, come south man. Try to get Dr. Devi Shetty on board.
Ranveer you cannot just say that people are using cannabis just because it is common in your circle… don’t just pass statements like that. If possible give numbers and talk that would be better 👍🏻
I feel my mental health can only be cured by nature. I want to feel connected. but how??!!! I dont know!!
Sit in a garden

My mom is going through mental issues , i think it will help us...thank you Ranveer Bhai
Take her to psychologist that will help her more
Anybody please discuss about Narcissist Personality Disorder ....🙏
Is it because you're doubting yourself to be one as a woman?
As a fellow psychiatrist, thank you for shining light on mental health👌
Ranveer you need to ask specific questions. This discussion being on such an important issue seems a bit lost.
someone else feels that podcasts are getting too technical, can't really gain any useful info from it, like it is not very easy to understand
It's too technical for common audience to understand .
If trauma comes from family what should a person can do to get rid out of these 😢
Knowledge is power, learn the propaganda techniques of the wicked, learn the fallacies they use while arguing, so you can figure out the truth, but don't be like them.

Hey Ranveer
I myself I am a practising psychologist and academician
It was such a realistic n Much needed podcast
Thanks a lot, Ranveer for such a Bravo ..episode ..I'll rush now towards the psychiatrist ...because this happening with me from 2 years...
Thanks for this important podcast ranveer
I don't know whether I should be happy that someone is talking about mental health or I should be sad, people will always be ready to hurt other people without knowing the cost of it. Sometimes the person who is in depression also doesn't know that they are in depression, please be aware of what you are speaking. I strongly feel we are evolving in other ways but as human community we are de-evolving, we are in 2024 still we don't know how to speak with others and how to treat others.
Much needed to address mental health and remove stigma and how to approach it 😊. It is considered a public health concern today.
Bring Dr. Jerry marzinsky he is an american psychiatrist who studies the voices schizophrenics hear.
Buddy Sushant was murdered!!!! He was a topper he had no signs of depression!!! Lets not bring SSR in this topic😢. Our justice is screwed up, power and money can corrupt anything in India.
Why there is beeps for even word like pandemic
Hope to see Shraddha Kapoor very soon❤

I’ve been through anxiety disorder 10 years back.
Came out of it strong as hell.
It has relapsed a week back, the suffering is even more intense this time.
Such a coincidence that this episode aired now.
I feel I’ll come out even stronger this time 💪🏻
