Looked deflected at the line, to me. Went off of someone's shoulder as they jumped. You can see the change in direction and spin. Might still have missed it, but the tipped ball left no doubt.

The play ended when the whistle blew, which was originally a touchdown, but reversed. His not having cauggt the ball would not have stopped the clock any sooner. The clock had run out, so the game should have ended.

Excellent result! If North Carolina had played to win at the end of regulation by getting a 2-point conversion, they would be celebrating.
But no! They had to play it safe and as a result, the Football gods were angered, and the just punishment was meted out - loss by a missed kick! This was delicious!

State should have been the winner in regulation. as anyone could see the ball touches the ground during the catch in the endzone.... how did the refs goof this... but State wins anyway,,,, awesome game regardless...(2 seconds ? back on the clock?) The clock clearly runs out prior to the refs calling it a touchdown. ... and by rule of the game -when the clock stops......ref have to call it dead .... NCAA rule... 3-3-2-I-IV).
After a Score. The game clock shall stop on an official’s signal after a touchdown, field goal or safety.
Couldn't agree with you more...even the commentators were stating that if the play was overruled the game was over but magically 2 seconds were put back on the clock. No way there were 2 seconds left. Taking nothing away from Maye he was clutch but the game was by rule over. Still made for exciting TV. That's NC State football..." you pay for the full seat but you only need the edge."

Been watching college football since the mid 80s and I feel Drake Maye is the best QB to come out of college since Aaron Rodgers. His ceiling is high and I feel his floor might be somewhere around Kirk Cousins, which isn't the worst QBs to be compared to.

@@pschighlights I was there, it wasn't much scoring in overtime, but it was exciting because no one knew who would win, it kept going back and forth. The 3rd quarter was extremely boring, but I was super nervous at the end, but glad NC State ended up winning

2 generations of my family graduated from “Barnyard U” and have successful careers in engineering, accounting, and education. Maybe it starts by realizing that winning isn’t your birthright and that hard work is what equals success rather than whatever name or brand you have.
No that review call was absolutely and positively 100% WRONG! That was clearly a catch because the ball never hit the ground and he kept his hand underneath it. So, it should have been ruled a touchdown, but instead they went with a pathetic and disgraceful horrible call. It didn't matter anyway because they still got the touchdown

i thought same thing but there was one angle that did show it was incomplete and ball touched. first few angles they showed during the game made it look like a catch but it wasn't. Fooled the announcers too which you can hear in these highlights. I was fooled too sitting there telling everyone it was a catch and then that one angle from the back showed the ball touch and all I could say was "damn, I guess it wasn't a catch"
U know what crazy. After he missed the fg only one of his teammates came to uplift him. Not gone lie would've been my last season there. U always supposed to uplift your teammates in a situation like this. On and off the field, win or lose
