  • I was at a pretty low place after my permit expired and had to move back.
But these mindsets and actions have started to transformed my life...
Now I am genuinely grateful for so many things, including the success and failures, and especially you guys… All the presence, support, comments with words of encouragement all truly mean so much to me.
I really hope this video can bring some comfort and courage to those that are also going through tough times. Just want you guys to know that you’re not alone, and it’s all gonna be alright ❤️‍🩹
Honestly I always feel like I’m not good enough, feel like I’m not ready. Even this video took me so long to edit and re-film, and there are still so many things I’m not satisfied with. But I also want to be honest and real on this journey of growth and just show up even when things are not 100% perfect.
Many many thanks to those that watch it, like and leave comments. You guys are the best!!
Let’s continue to walk this journey of life and grow together 𓆩ᥫ᭡𓆪
    Love,
    Chloe

Thankyou even I’m going through the same thing I was lost for the past 2 years of my life and now I’m going to start a new life in a new city next month I felt so lonely because I felt like I was the only one left out and honestly it felt so comforting . I’ll leave this quote here “lost is a beautiful place to find yourself again” honestly not many people are granted with the second chance to restart their lives again they’re trapped in a rat race but I hope this gap your will bring u big opportunities and so much growth . And whenever u feel left out just remember that turtle won the race with the rabbit u can be slow but u have to be steady be kind to yourself 🩷

    • @CupOfLiCha
      @CupOfLiCha 2 месяца назад

@@AHIN-uk2iyit’s okay :) Let me tell you something.
I finished high school in 2021, so 3 years ago. Afterwards I spend one year just doing the dirty mini jobs in order to be financially independent (my family situation is difficult). All I knew is I want to go to uni to give myself higher education and possibilities in life.
So I started my first double major in 2022, which I dropped out of after two semesters even if genuinely being excited about it. I realised it is not what is meant for me, it only made me cry and hate every day I live in. I dropped out in a way that was… cancelling my apartment, send a message to the Email and booking a flight to China to meet my one friend (she also studies in my country, but her parents are in China and we visited them together). I stayed in China for some time, came back, worked, and went to China again. I found peace in this country. Like the place I belong to. I decided that one day, I want to work and life there, while also traveling the world. When I was a child, I wanted to become a lawyer to help those in need… I’m still not sure if it is what I want to do but all I know is that I want to work internationally. And with law at least I have those opportunities while also being interested in the major.
What I want to tell you with that: don’t stress over the future too much. Our plans often randomly change. Sometimes what we think is a good decision turns out to not be the right way for us. Life is long, and after all, the future is something we can’t predict. We can only know if something suits us by trying. Only a few people are blessed with knowing exactly what they want to do. But you don’t have to know. You don’t have to have your life together.
      I give you one advice:
      1. get to know yourself first :) only late I realised my interest in studying languages and exploring different cultures. I always thought I’m only interested in art. But Only by the experiences I created, I could realise my live towards those and thus, make the decision to work internationally.
      2. Just try. Give that first idea, that first thoughts a try. Inform yourself about different opportunities and sometimes we just have to try what our stomach feeling tells us. Only then we can know what is good or maybe know what is not good :)
After all, life will go its way. As we work hard on ourselves and develop personal goals, we can find our own way. So don’t stress too much right now. For now, only focus on passing your highschool exam :) Because for sure, in a year, your interest maybe already changed a lot naturally

I have no idea why the algorithm is pushing so many thoughtful young new female asian vloggers with a great aesthetic eye in my feed, but I'm certainly not complaining.
You'd fit right in with Leahfieldsnote, Meiqiii, and Life of Riza.
Agreed that life is not a straight line, and happiness is the pursuit. Life is a journey rather a set destination. Some people want the quick drop (by train, of flight), and some prefer the scenic route, either by walk or bike, to be able to enjoy everything and everyone they could meet along on the road.
There is a word of caution to say about living your life from one chapter to another, though.
While it is certainly great to do so for a few years, it's also very easy to get comfortable with it and completely let yourself go with the flow. And before you know it, you're in your forties, with no companion, no home, no children, no built career, and no stable income in the foreseeable future.
I know it very well, that's my case right now after enjoying 13 years of going with the flow in Taiwan as a freelance animation director, and after tirelessly working for 6 years in my first half of my Taiwanese in the animation industry, for various mid to disappointing projects (but in animation, regardless of whether you like a project or not, it's still gonna take 2 years of your life, working 14-15h shifts with 4-5h sleep per night, if you ever get to sleep on the worst crunchtimes)... so after 6 years of this, being thrown from one disappointing project to another and still having to give it my all, I got a massive burnout, and being an artist who drew ever since I was a kid, I was so burned out from animation I couldn't even touch a pencil anymore.
Luckily for me, I had saved enough to be able to give in to my other passion : photography. For the first time in about 10 years, I had saved enough so that I could finally buy a DSLR (before the mirrorless craze), and could finally take pictures "that looked like pictures". So right as I stopped my animation career, my photography career was waiting right on the corner. Which was awesome as working in animation, while it's a fantastic job that let you go creative and take everything in your brain and put it on the paper, it also kinda screws you to your chair in front of your computer. Photography was the opposite of that : I needed to get my butt off my chair to go out and shoot people and places, and events. Which in turn was the perfect way to actually discover that wonderfully photogenic island that is Taiwan.
So that went on for the next 6 years, with me and my background in animation sometimes also helping some friends in the amateur filmmaking circles to make short movies during events like 48h of Taipei or the 39h of Tainan. And while those were some of the best years of my life, meeting some f the most wonderful people on the island... they were also the years where I figured out that being a photographer is even harder to make a living than animator... those were the days I was the poorest in my life, with a few months wallowing in despair in my bed due to no money, and after 6 years of hardly surviving from paycheck to paycheck, eventually I had to call it quits and go back to work in animation in Belgium (where I originally lived and grew up) for a year and half, during the pandemic years (yay, the joys of remote work !).
Now that I'm back in Taiwan for the past 2 years, without the willpower to touch any animation project in Taiwan anymore, I am now teaching animation and/or photography in the French school in Taipei and another international school. With only 2 days per week, and a few online classes for students in Belgium, again, those are certainly not my wealthiest days, where I'm once again surviving on the most frugal budget again, and without much career path in the foreseeable future (mostly because my chinese sucks hard), but I'm kinda stuck here now, having to deal with my mother's cancer, and accompagny in what are probably her last few years. And by the time she'll be no more, I might be well in my mid 40ies, without much time left to build a career either here or in France or Belgium, where work might be more solid than here.
So yeah, I'm the counterargument of "live your life going with the flow". It's everything I've been doing for the past 15 years, and while I certainly had some great moments and met some awesome people, having lived a life full of experience and enlightment, it also sadly led me to a place where I can hardly see a future from here on.
So while it's good to have a general direction and be flexible for whatver curved balls life can throw at you at any given moment, it's also good to have some form of actual plan, and stick to it. Full freeform leads nowhere, and at some point, some of your choices (and failures) end up biting you in the ass in the future.
Sure, when you're young, experiment, without being sure of the outcome, fail if necessary, as failure is the best teacher... but after a certain point, once you've got enough failures to teach you, it's time to actually become selective of your initiatives, as time gets scarcer and scarcer, and so does your life and energy (nope, as opposed as how we feel when in our 20's, human energy is not limitless). So you got to be more selective of the things you're going to put your efforts in it.
Now, I hope I didn't put too much pressure on your mind.
Your vlog was lovely and I'm glad I got the chance to see it.
I'm sure you have the potential to become a great international voice for making people discover the charms of Taiwan through your journaling on RUclips, and I'm looking forward to see what you'll cook up for the future.
Btw, which mountain were you at ? The rock looks pretty surreal. It looks like the limestone at the Queen's head park in Yehliu... but atop a mountain instead of at the beach ?
Is it somewehere around Yangminshan ?
Also, great on you to have caught the sunset on top of the mountain, it certainly is a fantastic view (I live atop a mountain in the southwest of Xindian, so I have the same kind of view from my window, but from the south up north), but it must not have been funny to have to hurry down before nightfall (and night falls quick in Taiwan). I hope you were not too scared during the descent.
Glad you got to enjoy such a fantastic view, though. Especially with such delicious looking ice cream clouds ^^
