Totally agree with your thoughts. Youth isn't the only time when we are radiant. I really admire the people around me who have so much experience and wisdom. I'm only 23 and I wish I had the wisdom and resilience they have. It's been really tough for me to find my step in the big world and find my space in society. I think i need to stop sometimes and see the beauty in my journey. Thabk you for reminding me ❤❤

I went to Taiwan after i graduated from High School. Taiwan is such a good place to live, there are some typhoons and earthquakes but everything else is amazing. I feel like i can breathe better after watching some of your videos 😂 Your videos are so good, your voice is so relaxing. I like the way you tell stories. 加油!!
i am a guy. and one of my biggest fears is getting old. not because of the responsibilities of being an adult, no. but bluntly, it's more that i have this irrational fear of seeing my face age - wrinkles, dark circles, deeper laugh lines and all that. its even funny that i get anxiety attacks from it too, even while driving. and as i get older and older and getting into my 30's, my youth gets harder and harder to maintain (i take care of myself a lot, gym, skin care the whole nine yards). i am single too, and every time im reminded of that, it triggers that anxiety that worsens with age. the possibility of being alone forever is gradually starting to become a reality. i think sometimes, 'no matter how much soul searching i do to find my authentic self even if i find it or not, the fact of the matter is... im still alone.' and im running out of time. its different for everybody, but i think once you hit a certain age, things will start to be so immediate or hectic, even demanding - that we could just grab anything within our reach, if there is anything at all. it takes a lot of strength and self-reliance to be able to live with 'growth and happiness defined by us' as you said. we can love ourselves and make value of ourselves as much as we want, but if i were to be completely honest, there is this void that can only be filled through a deep human connection that is found in a partner, a person who will love you not for your looks but for your soul, perhaps a soulmate (a soulmate that is even harder to find if you have a unique soul). and if i cant have that in this life, i have to accept it, just like how i accepted that im never going to be a professional athlete or a damn good writer like you. but there is this faith in me, you know. im still counting on life to surprise me. and sadly it goes hand in hand with this fear. and as im writing this, its probably not the fear of getting old that occupies me. its the fear of being alone.
I resonate with this especially as I'm approaching my big 4 series and still being single. I used to think that we were born alone so we will die alone and being alone shouldn't be scary as I have been so used to it since I was young due to the separation of my parents and the chaos childhood. But then I slowly un-learn and re-learn about life as I get older, we are social beings and it is our basic needs to crave for that connection. Yet, how is that we feel so alone as we find it so difficult to meet genuine people/energy to foster that human relationship in this digital world? The paradox of our modern life these days.
