I've been excited to make a deck with Flubs since he was announced and none of my friends understand... I don't want a powerful and easy commander, I want some strange mechanic that I have to build the deck around. Bonus points for him being quirky too. I love him. Also in my favorite colors
I love the video. I’m working on a cedh version and I think it’s always important to do the math. For cards that double draw it’s though. You flubs, draw 2 have 2 cards in hand. It you play one you discard the other and go to 0. So just be careful
This is why you run flashback cards. Or foretell, or impulse draw. You need ways to store cards to add more casts. Also running free discard outlets to drop the extra cards that make your hand even.
I would love to discuss this commander more so feel free to jump in on this Ted Talk I'll drop! I feel this is not a real combo or storm deck, this is a value deck where you need to build your deck around the fact that whatever you get you can cast or play. This is why I don't see Flubs lists without cards like Abundance, Eruth, Sensei's Top and Six to name a few that you might or might not have mentioned. Abundance alone removes the need for extra lands, Eruth does the same (this doesn't mean you don't run extra land effects but it shouldn't be the focus). Sensei and a few flashback spells remove the issue of starting a turn with 2 cards in hand, a similar card is Gustha's Scepter that let's you store your good cards for later. My current wincons are impact tremor effects and in a way hoping my opponents don't go infinite life but even then things like Cloud of Faeries + Cloudstone Curio let me remove Flubs and go infinite with all the 0 drop creatures I run in the deck.
I think its a good engine for cedh im still brewing mine out i want to do a bunch of 0 drop creatures then make those cards lands draw the deck and with thassa and that other creature that does the same win game trigger
Great thanks for the ideas! However, I don’t see a win condition… is it guttersnipe? Reckless fireweaver? Impact tremors? Cuz if it is, your deck is also gonna need lots of protection or recursion for these pieces. Unfortunately i find protection or recursion cards tends to end the turns unless someone tries to play removal.
Love the ideas and watched alot of flubs ideas but no one seems to have a win condition! Drawing cards and playing lands seems cool and a lot of fun but won't win you the game! Does anyone have any suggestions??
Glint horn buccaneer! Not exactly a win con completely but it can definitely come close and including song of creation, it can do major work to your opponents.
Burn is an option I guess. You're casting a lot of shit so having everyone take 1 damage or more if you throw in multiple pingers or damage boosters it could work them down.
Getting "stuck" with no way to play a card, passing turn, then drawing a card on my next turn, and then having two cards in hand - is REALLY killing me rn. How many "get unstuck" sources do yall play?
A lot of the cards you mentioned are super good on paper but traps in practice. Recycle makes you never be able to start your storm as flu s wants only one card in hand not two. Aesi is another example of this which just soft locks you out of the game
I think it's tough to build. you're not always going to have him out, so there's some value in having cards that might be a nonbo with flubs. You need to decide when to bring him out, and of course your opponents decide when he goes away. But yeah you don't want to get stuck...Eruth is great but I feel like the deck is going to have a hard time keeping things around.

@@533rudiger labman or aetherflux would be some strong wincons for it!

The new Ral Planeswalker is really easy to ultimate and then you can retrace flame jab a bunch of times. Or lightning bolt

I don't play this deck. My guess: Play cards from your graveyard and the top of your library? Foretell cards so they're in exile and can be played?
@@punkypinko2965 hey that's a great idea actually! I'll slip some of those in and see how it works out for me
Plot cards from OTJ

You are wrong, this is NOT a storm deck, currently brewing, so I will get back to you on what it actually is....
The deck needs you to play Foretell and suspend cards...it's mid to late game aggro-value.
This is cEDH, suspend and foretell is terrible in cEDH.
In casual maybe it’s fun.
@@acetraker1988 how's the midgame plan been working?
Sounds like a terrible commander lol. Not judging anyone, just my impression.
