    Man the in person play is such a massive improvement its not even funny. One of my biggest issues with some of the older videos was that a good 40ish minutes of them were just waiting for Magic Online to resolve all the triggers, but, with that gone, it's gotten so much better. Now I'm gonna be That Guy: Teferi's protection says your life total can't change.
    At around 32 minutes, Richard cast Vampiric Tutor after casting Teferi's Protection. If it still worked like the original wording "Pay 2 life, tutor a card" he actually wouldn't be able to cast it at all since Teferi's Pro prevents you from paying life. Luckily oracle texts makes losing the 2 life no longer a cost, so it turns into all upside. Richard should have been able to tutor without losing the 2 life.

    42:47 IT doesn't matter, but can you? I do believe all card draw is done individually, so you draw your card for the turn and take damage, before the draw triggers for the cards you have on the battlefield would go on the stack (separately).

    • @Niuttuc
      @Niuttuc 10 месяцев назад

      The card drawn at the beginning of the draw step is a turn-based action, it happens automatically when the draw step begins. Then, all impending triggers are put onto the stack at the first occasion, which includes the two individual card draw triggers from the two sources, and the two damage triggers from the draw step draw. Since Crim controls all of them and they're all placed on the stack at the same time, he can decide the order, and squeek an extra draw like that. Of course, as soon as he draws his first extra card, the damage trigger from that go on top of the stack and he can't draw the second extra card before taking the damage

    I think Spelltable is nice to shake things up on occasion, but it is not my preferred way of viewing. MTGO it is much easier to distinguish between cards, see where they are placed, and it also allows you see player’s hands. It’s not always intuitive to follow what’s going on in spelltable.

    This is one of the more enjoyable games ive watch in a minute for laughs. Comparable to slivermania 😂

    I really like the spelltable games. I didnt realize you guys switched formats. I just dont like the UI of MTGO. This feels much cleaner and less overstimulating, while having enough pop ups to keep me in the loop of whats going on. I appreciate this a lot!

    Currently, my LGS has only one banned card: Thassa's Oracle. It was hilarious that the deck that was only there to force a draw ended up winning...

    Love how much shorter these are without mtgo lag!

    Any chance of doing an episode where you build around a card that isn't on MTGO? For years, you guys have been stymied by MTGO's cardpool when it came to commander exclusives, so it would be cool to have a game to show these cards off.

    because no armagedon was played we still need an episode with land destructions xD

    I love salty games lol! My play group has land destruction players, mindslaver players who will recur it from the graveyard with muldrotha, Zacama turbo ramp and Eldrazi enjoyers. I have a mono black deck with both dictate of erebos and grave pact, running creatures like fleshbag marauder and demons disciple. I run a bunch of reanimation to do it every turn so I'm the only person with creatures on the board and top it off with big flying beaters to swing for 10-20 each turn

    Interesting that Richard remembered that the other players’ life totals couldn’t change but he forgot that he himself also shouldn’t have been able to lose the 2 life from Vamp Tutor.

    Phil should've tutored for those instants though, Humility doesn't stop things like that iirc.

    Conincidentally, 1/3 of the meta at BOTH of the game stores in town is JUST nekusar decks. Yes. Multiple nekusars at the same table is common. *Elp.*
