    Thanks Tim. I've been looking at the Baumalight mulcher as well as the Trail Blazer cutter with oil pump system on the rear of tractor. I haven't determined the best for the buck and my area is heavily wooded with brush and loblolly pines (I call them paper pines) so I'm struggling with that. Your videos with the Baumalight are intriguing. I appreciate your videos with your narrative descriptions. Have a fine Christmas. 👍🏽🎅🏽.

    Tim, I’ve said before you need a tractor with the IVT transmission....... it would have the slow speed the 5series doesn’t have. You also don’t have to worry about burning up a clutch.

    • @PeterHonig.
      @PeterHonig. 3 года назад

      Hi Stuart, I was curious about the least expensive JD model for which IVT is available and found that it is the 6M series staring at $110,000 (bare bones). My family and I who have a small 25 acre commercial dairy farm and creamery would find that to be a bit of a financial stretch (as probably would most of this channel's audience who seem to be mostly series 1 and 2 owners). We currently have a 4066R with hydrostatic transmission that works very well at creeping along at a snail's pace without the risk of clutch burnout. I am not 100% sure, but to the best of my knowledge it looks like the series 5 tractors are stuck between these two technologies with only the manual option available.

    • @stuartgibson1896
      @stuartgibson1896 3 года назад

      @@PeterHonig. IVT on small scale are not practical. I’ve made suggestions directly to Tim in comments on other videos he should try one out for content sake. When I worked for a Deere dealer over 10 years ago the 6*30 series had just come out and the low price on an IVT was around 80k. My personal favorite tractor with the IVT is the 6420. They have less computer garbage on them.

    I do that same size material with a brush hog all the time .. lol Hey Tim question what’s the largest disc ya think ya could pull with a 3046r reason Is if I could find a woods 10’ mower I’d like to have a disc close in size or at least a 96” disc or a foldable disc ? My trailer is a deck over 108” wide and 25’ long very curious . I have a 3520 and I feel I’m in need of more power on hills while mowing but don’t really want bigger need to get in small spaces some times . So I’m kinda stuck on size , I also like the yanmar 359c I like the trans and Ac system better problem with the Deere the Ac filter up behind cab gets clogged so fast That every 2 hours I gotta stop and blow it out or I start cooking lol . Where I’m from it’s very dry and dusty during our weed abatement season bigger any advice would be appreciated. Thank you and godblessyall stay Healthy !

    Have you tried the CP572? It is a brush hog type cutter. It is what I use and it would be interesting to do a comparison. I see advantages to both, mostly based on how flat the terrain is and how far you need to reach into the brush to start cutting.

    The easiest way to run rear direction equipment for me is to Turn my body completely sideways in the seat... and use my left foot on the Hydros. Nothing is making your lower part of your body needing to be facing forward. Anyone can sit on their right hip in the seat. I run the rear snowblower for my 3720 Cab Tractor for hours at a time,..... Left foot on Hydros. So much easier.
