    • @MiningChamber
      @MiningChamber  3 года назад +1

      I actually ended up not using it, rather I ended up using a 240v 30 amp plug and connected a pdu to it. I think there is an adapter for that AC plug but I'm not quite sure :( I am not too knowledgeable in that field

    • @MiningChamber
      @MiningChamber  3 года назад +1

      Youl need to calculate the watts for it 😅 you can safely assume your using 1000 watts for cooling and other additional stuff and then 240 watts * 80 will give you a safe estimate for the 3080s

    Also, Remember you need to balance your load between the sides of the panel. for example. a 120amp panel will have 60 amps on one line and 60 amps on the other. Make sure to check how your breaker panel is wired so that you dont blow the main breaker. Great Video, I keep seeing your name in Red Panda's Live stream Chat :)

    • @brandonb2613
      @brandonb2613 3 года назад +3

      This is actually false. Your loads are balanced between the 2 phases (A and B) of incoming power which are tapped to the main lugs of the panel (240V). From that point, the voltage is distributed to the buss bar which is designed to feed alternating phases of electricity to every other seat (seat being the position a breaker is installed) in the panel, VERTICALLY (from top to bottom. For example, say you had a 10 Space Panel feeding the building. The breakers are in two columns - odd numbers on the left, even on the right. If A Phase is one phase of electricity and B phase is the other, then the load would have to be balanced between the two phases and would look like this:
      1.A 2.A
      3.B 4.B
      5.A 6.A
      7.B 8.B
      9.A 10A
      The balance comes from equal distribution of total power consumption and (in most residential cases, at least in the west) is factored in when being built. In other words, if there’s a concern with drawing too much from one phase (which in reality, you should not even under most heavy use circumstances), change power sources to create balance between every other breaker, not left and right.

    • @AleksandrsBrodie
      @AleksandrsBrodie 3 года назад

      @@brandonb2613 that is correct.
      That's was my point, you dis a much better job explaining.
      But the 100a service. A can only be loaded to 40A and side B can only loaded to 40A for example.
      As you are aware most people dont understand this and can risk going over 50A on A if they dont have thier load balanced.
      Most people will just see 100a service and think, ok as long as I load 80a I am fine without considering how to balance the load centers.

    If the room can only provide approximatelty 1500w of power, since the sockets are in the same breaker, does a PDU help with providing more wattage/amperage and/or outlets?

    How do you connect multiple PSUs? I have three plugged in 1 motherboard using two 24 pin adapters, but my rig keeps resetting after 15 seconds once I plug my 5th card in (4 and under runs just fine). Hiveos is saying the 4 gpu's are running at around 800, which is near what PSU #1 maxes out at (the PSUs are 850W, and two 750W), so I'm thinking maybe no power is being drawn from the other two? But I know this not to be the case as I plug in the CPU power cable to the 2nd and 3rd and they power up just fine.
    I'm so lost 😫

    • @MiningChamber
      @MiningChamber  4 года назад

      Ahh Radeon VIIs, We love them.. But its a love/hate relationship. The downvolting is a pain in the butt. Sometimes my r7s hold up 1 month with 950 mv, and sometimes not even a day haha so I keep trying and if it keeps crashing fast I put it on 950 - 960

    • @Raylep1
      @Raylep1 4 года назад +1

      Mining Chamber i find to keep them going and lasting a long time i upgraded my fans to the 200cfm in pandas radeon video, used your overclocking, worked for a few days then give out. Using 975 worked on all 4 of mine. Machine is at 1600w about. Little higher than i want to run. Guess i should take out the vega 56 for the 80% safety factor lol

    • @MiningChamber
      @MiningChamber  4 года назад

      @@Raylep1 Hmm you should try to set every card with different undervoltage, some of them will handle 950 while others wont do less that 975. So I would spend some time just figuring out which card gives out when and now you know that your safe zone is 975. Like that you can possibly save some watts :P 80%!!

    Sir I am From Oman i would like to know can i use Single Phase Electricity for my mining rigs i am planning to build 14-20 rigs each rig will take 12 gpu of 3080 Ti
    Total power supply will be required 3 in each rig 1800W x 3= 5,400 Watts each rig.
    Can i use single phase electricity?

      حي الله ولد المشاكيك، كهربتك فاز واحد، ٢٤٠ فولت و ٥٠ هرتز، بالاضافة لمعامل كفاءة ٠.٩٠ من شركة كهربتكم. ٥٤٠٠ واط في هالحاله يعني ٢٥ امبير. الافياش بالجدران عادة تتحمل ٣٠ امبير. اذا زاد استهلاكك عن ٣٠ امبير، راح يذوب الفيش من شدة الحرارة. الامبير هو اهم شي. لازم تفك الفيش اللي بالجدار وتعرف سلك الكهربه عندك يتحمل كم امبير؟

    • @Mich4elCorleone
      @Mich4elCorleone 3 года назад

      بالاضافة لتوصيلات الكهرب، اعلى عدد افياش في توصيلة كهرب هو ٦ تقريبا، اذا تبغى توصيله تشيل عدد كبير من الكروت مثل ٢٥ كرت. هنا تشتري شي اسمه PDU بس عاد تركيبه وتوليفه مختلف تماما. خليك على التوصيلات العادية واشبك كل ٦ محولات طاقة في توصيله وكل توصيله بفيش جدار منفصل.

    • @Mich4elCorleone
      @Mich4elCorleone 3 года назад

      تو ادقق في كلامك، ماشاء الله عدد الرقات عندك كبير، لايااابوي ماينفع كهرب بيت لهالأمور، اصلا اعلى امبير لطبلون كهرب البيت الظاهر ٣٠٠ امبير وانت تحتاج ٦٠٠ امبير تقريبا، اذا يبغالك تتجه لقطاع الاعمال وتستاجر مكان طبلون او عداد الكهربه حقه امبيره عالي (٦٠٠ فما فوق) وفقك الله
