    YOU ARE my actual therapist. My real therapist sucks, she's nothing but a mute white wall. I always bring you up cause everything I learn is from you and not from her! Thank you for being there for us every single Saturday. Your regularity gives me also a sense of safety that I have not in my regular life.
    THANK YOU, TEAL !

      Hi C!
      2 reasons:
      1. I'm tired of explaining my whole story from the beginning again and going through the "getting to know each other" process with a new therapist again. It would just bore me so very much. I'm done with therapy. Was my whole life in therapy and it has always felt like this (useless) therapist would be my last one. I'm nothing but bored with telling my issues over and over again. By repeating them over and over again, I also strengthen this neuronal wired pathway in my brain! I'll stuck in my past for ever. It's time to move on, time for a new begin. Time to connect new neuronal pathways, good/healthy and happy ones and strengthen them by repeating them over and over. You know what I mean?
      This actual therapy doesn't motivate me, it doesn't help me to move forward, not at all. It's nothing but remaining in the past. Super senseless.
      2. Because I've none in my life besides her, I've become emotional dependent on her. Although I don't benefit from her, it's still one hour in a week where I've got the opportunity to talk to someone. In my real life,no one talks to me, all are afraid of a "deeper talk".

    My core commitment is to learn, research and discover. Thats why I couldn’t wait to get home from work and read all I want, cuz there was nothing new to learn on job, just doing same work😑 Thats why I quit hahaha, I felt it like a waste of my time. I need job where I can learn and improve. That gives me fulfillment.

    I saw myself standing in my grandmothers garden as a child. I had a sence of "I'm nurturing" (the flowers/an animal, something undefined). I felt like somehow connecting my heart with the earth I placed the flowers in. At the same time I felt like I'm beeing nurtured, taken care of by my grandma. I felt very safe, but like there was a lack of love and care I couldn't fill. I desperatly needed it filled but it can't be. I try to get something from the earth, hugs, the people I love. But it's not enough. I know that I saw myself here shortly before a time of great trauma. I think this great need for love and care that is naturally not given to me as much as my trauma demands caused me to develop a core commitment to nurturing others. I give everything, subconciously deeply craving what I'm giving. This had me ending up in a few very unhealthy, damaging relationships. I do feel like I'm doing a healthy job at nurture in non romantic relationships though. It's my honest desire to help and give love. I just don't know how to solve that intense need for an impossible amount of nurture. It's like something inside of me is craving to be a baby again.

    • @pattisonjj
      @pattisonjj Год назад +4

      Teal helped me understand something i think you may want to look into... we quite literally NEED out needs met before being able to go onto the next developmental stage. So if baby needs were NOT met. Baby you is screaming and going to do everything to get that need met before evolving to toddler... baby your inner baby. You had to grow up too fast if you werent having needs met and so- theres a split within. Adult protector and small baby. Then a 3rd higher self perspective loving and coexisting as another. Look into why and if you feel you deserve to be babied if thats your true need within. Its okay to be there and need that. Ask others to help you with that too once you accept that about yourself so you feel safe enough to let that part out around another. Its okay to be there. I feel you. And you will be able to find those who are open minded and loving to help you integrate and be one with that part to one day (although not the intention- have intention just to be there and meet the needs of your baby) you will grow out to toddler, bigger child, teen, etc if these werent healed

Your gift will bring you and your loved ones a brighter future so keep up the good work. Thank you ❤️

    Wow. I realized my core commitment is inner peace. I've been searching for it all my life and when I envision and feel into the feeling I see a cottage in redwoods with a warm fire in the autumn. Literally brings tears to my eyes how perfect it would be. I've always ignored this vision bc I think to myself, what if I get bored?? But I realize I wouldn't because it's exactly what I've been looking for but I feared settling because I didn't know what inner peace felt like until I really did this visualization.

    I have Blake's same core subconscious commitment. It's extremely liberating yet difficult because I can never be content, always seeking new avenues, new friendships, new expansion. I barely let people know me because I feel like I'm not free being committed to what "normal" relationships would be. Trying to keep a job with this type of soul yearning in my subconscious is like trying to survive day to day in complete opposition to the system. I call it going Rogue and being ultimately free.

    This is probably the most powerful video you've made yet. I did the self-inquiry and found that my subconscious core commitment is LOVE. This makes so much sense for how I've lived my life up to this point. I want real love in my life and anything that isn't that does not stay in my life very long because I sabotage it or resist it. And when things externally aren't reflecting that love I desire I always go within and bring that love to myself. Had a few tears in my eyes coming to this realization. Thanks Teal!

    That was a unique experience when I tried it. I have a core commitment to building connections, and I just got out of a marriage with a man who wanted nothing to do with people. We were always going in opposite directions. That's oddly enough, I realized yesterday my sister and I were alway going in opposite directions of each other to give each other a break from a controlling mother who was trying to pit us against each other. This also helps me understand why I have made other choices over the years that seemed inconsistent with my perceived best interest.

      Maybe you are a strong 4th chakra personality, a helper/healer. I'm that way. I learned the very hard way that you need to fix yourself first before you can really help others. If all you can do is give them money and material things and physical health at best, it's not enough. It's like giving someone a fish instead of teaching them how to fish. If you keep giving them fishes, you can only help 1-2 people in their lifetime, but if you teach people how to fish, you can help thousands of people set for life during your lifetime.

    This is refreshing! I’m so moved by the immediacy of this process. I feel multiple subconscious commitments when I did the process. I feel like I have both a fear based one and one infused with the love of my soul. It’s like the two are vying for play in my outer life. “Avoid abandonment at all costs” and “find and embody the truth at all costs”. Ha! It makes sense when I look at my life and see the two generate the ebb and flow, the contraction and the expansion I’ve experienced. Thank you Teal!

    Surprisingly my commitment is to be stuck in life, entangled I even felt like I was choking myself with my own hands...
    The reason behind that was that my parents always pressured me to take action, to live a good life with a "good stable 9/5 job". I've always hated it everytime I feel pressured to do something. I just can't do it!
    I hate the idea of having a 9/5 job like my parents wanted for me so I unconsciously sabotaged myself into never getting passed interviews.
    Now I'm conscious and I'll do what I can to move on and change that commitment so I can have sucess on my career. Thank you Teal Swan.

    When I went through my core commitment I saw myself in the semi cold night, the weather was still and the sky is as clear as glass, I’m looking directly into the beautiful dark-ish blue sky with hundreds of starts moving so ever slowly that it is not easy to notice their movement. There was someone or more near me, and I couldn’t see or know who it was. I just felt like I had somebody by near and that it felt good. I felt positively alone but also connected at the same time and more than most of my focus is on my appreciation for the beauty of the starts and the sky and how peaceful it felt. I loved it.

    OK, this is very cool. I gave up a life with a beautiful, loving woman because of core values. Her’s, money = security...whatever the cost. Time and time again I witnessed this incisive approach to living in fear of having money. It didn’t bother her that her focus was on money, not living a life that had virtues of compassion and generosity. My values on the other hand focused on... Art = a life worth living. Money had nothing to do with it. That art could be visual, as in photographic art or musical as in the Bluegrass music I play. Neither one was of any interest to her. Even though I spent much time helping her to achieve her goals, my goals had NO part in her life. Subconscious Core Life Commitment makes total sense. It is so important. I see that now. It will be a top priority when I someday seek another to share my life.

      Light Workxas,
      Yes, I can relate. My core commitment is 'authemticity'. When I've gotten into relationships I feel I need to change or improve in some manner. My authentic side (which is being creative and expressive via art) seems inadequate/impractical thus I attempt a more mainstream change....try to become something that's ultimately contrary to the real me. I become miserable. As a result the relationship become miserable for all parties involved.
      How can I NOT do this? I'm more "me" when alone yet crave a relationship. I'm self-tortured!

It gives me so much joy to “fix” things and customize them. Fine enough for objects, but got to be careful not to do it with people lol

    Hey guys, have many people had ‘nothing’ come up for them? For some reason a big part of me does not allow me to see anything, feel or hear anything, i just perceive the back of my eyelids the whole time, I am able to clear my mind of random thoughts to try to allow higher awareness to come through, but nothing really comes through in these types of meditations, and when something does come through, it looks faint and far away… insights do sometimes come through as a ‘knowing’ however.
    I experienced deep heartache n disappointment growing up and one of my biggest things was feeling forgotten about I guess you could say, my womb is now numb which I’m working to sensitise, and I experienced severe concussion 7yrs ago and my mind has recovered mostly, but I wonder how much that experience still affects me today..
    Anyway, i just wanted to surrender these thoughts out there.

    My words that came up are freedom, free to create, free to follow my inspirations in the moment. Free to explore my creativity, free to be me. Lots of free floating feelings. Like a butterfly that kind of flutters around as it chooses. Never feeling confined or owned or restricted. Makes sense why my parents can not force me to choose an 9-5 job, the need to be independent and be my own boss is so my commitment. Now how on earth can I get other people to accept my commitment. I defiantly do not want to change this commitment. I have tried many times to follow a different mold but it never works ever. Thanks Teal now I am more reassured of what I kind of always knew but it's so hard to get others to stop trying to change me.

    I saw at first clouds and trees from a far height and then I felt warmth in my heart area and then heard love and commitment before I felt like I got hit with a gust of air and started crying. I’m guessing that means mine is love and commitment.
    Makes sense when I think about the people I’m with and how I was raised and how painful it’s been trying to be one way and my subconscious feels a different way.

    I did this exercise and felt like my core unconcious commitment was to freedom. And it creates tons of obstacles and uncomfortable situations, but I find that since I don't know what I want my core commitment to be consciously I don't chose anything therefore freedom sticks as my core commitment and around and around we go.

Cool breeze on my face, looking at the stars, the scent of autumn coming. My commitment was to doing things that make me feel alive. That actually makes a lot of sense.

    My subcon commitment has been seeking closeness and being seen. Seen really meant desired. I desired 30 yr olds at 4 yrs old (limerence, projected desire). With this 1 video i tuned in and realize how terribly this has served me. It made me desperate for crumbs, believing im not worthy of so much nurturing attention and love. Now i can consciously connect to my sense of self to feel connection. That feels so relieving and possible. Thank u for the clarity.
    Ps i also relate to not being reachable thru phone hahaha. Im very on board w its implicactions too 😂

    i finally understand what my issue has been for all these years. i grew up in a very controlling household where i had no real sense of autonomy. i never felt like anything i did was good enough. i've always had issues in school getting to class on time and getting assignments in on time, watching youtube videos instead of doing homework. i still struggle with getting to work on time. i slack off at my job and my bosses yell at me. i realize i had a subconscious commitment to criticism and escape. in order to grow i need to commit to being self-sufficient and dependable which results in me feeling more confident and self-actualized.

    Wow. I sensed that every "failed" civilian job I had after leaving the Army life was due to desiring to experience more freedom, but my fearful ego self wasn't ready to let go of the comfort zone called the, "9 to 5 job" that provides a meager amount of monetary security. However COMMA, after experiencing the spiraling down of a total of four jobs within Sedona JUST within a year, I finally let go of the need to continue forcing myself to do what general society says I should do to survive.
    I permanently deleted my indeed resume----which wasn't easy to do since it was time-consuming to input all the data online---and I've chosen to take it day by day while following my inner guidance, as to who to Be and what to do without worries about the future. I realized that I'd much rather thrive than merely survive in this world.
    By the way Blake, you crack me up with your seemingly uncomfortable, yet, innocent child-like and goofy non-verbal cues! ^_^ I do highly respect and admire your transparent honesty, and if it's true that your core life commitment is about going with the flow and simply Being a free-spirit who loves to explore and experience Life without limitations, then that's awesome!
    Perhaps you don't resonate with cell phones (that gives off low vibrations) and having to often be there for others' needs, wants, and expectations. Unconditional Love goes both ways, to self and others, and I've learned to develop healthy boundaries within relationships.
    Thank you again Teal, Blake and rest of team for your gifts to humanity and beyond. I'm so grateful for your wonderful existence. Our world needs more highly evolved, loving, and wise Beings like you. I wish you various forms of happy abundance. :-)

    Wonderful topic... I see that I am unconsciously sabotaging my success. Working my ass off to make stuff happen and at the same time making decisions that keep me exactly where I am ... No 'effortlessness', but hard work, almost force to move in the direction that desire to develop... which might actually not be what I desire.... I need a whole recalibration aligning my actions with the subconscious direction... haha... thanks Teal. Looking forward to more alignment and effortlessness...

    Lmaoo, my core commitment and Blake's core commitment is absolutely the same. I can't even count how many times I've missed people's calls, left my phone in another room just because I didn't want to deal with other people's problems or do what other people want me to be.

    • @miha2863
      @miha2863 7 лет назад +14

      Because he also does the same things as me as in not answer his calls. I don't know about him, but growing up in a home that would do anything to isolate me because my parents were scared of the outside world, there's nothing I desire more than freedom. And anything that restricts that, I end up destroying.

    • @garnetsword
      @garnetsword 7 лет назад +1

      laborbabe oh, okay if you look at it this way.... Freedom is a very big topic and I just can't imagine a single person not wanting freedom at his/her core but anyway.... I actually got an idea that Blake's core commitment was also smth else, no?
      That's also interesting to me what other people think when someone doesn't answer their call because my first thoughts are usually very simple- the person can't or the person's hands are busy or smth else is going on. No big deal. Unless it is an emergency then I'd be calling every phone possible to reach out.
      Like I for ex., don't even have my cell on me 24/7. I can leave it on the table to charge and go into another room to do smth. So, of course, unless someone else picks up my phone for me I may not even register that there was a msg or call depending on the notification tone sound it currently is.
      Also. Busy person does not mean that he/she is also not thoughtful of others.
      I know that for ex, if i sent a msg and have no reply - that is also a reply. The person may just not know what to say! And i complete get that!

    • @garnetsword
      @garnetsword 7 лет назад

      Smth tells me that resenting a phone and not answering it on purpose might has a lot to do with other underlying issues.
      Otherwise it would not bother those who's calls are left continuously unanswered.

  • @soundseeker63
    @soundseeker63 7 лет назад +15

    I never really noticed it before now, but my conscious and unconscious commitments are very conflicting, almost perfect opposites. My subconscious commitment is towards safety and autonomy, wheras my conscious commitment is towards connection and intimacy. I find it very hard to make choices that satisfy both, for example I may choose an occupation that keeps me safe and gives me freedom, but that tends to starves me of connection. I may seek connection through other means but this often makes me feel very unsafe and takes away my freedom. I don't know how to reconcile these aspects that pull in opposite directions. It is making my life very difficult and I feel like I can't win regardless of what I do or don't do :-(

      what if you found a job that met all your needs of connection, freedom and safety

      Have you tried merging your two core commitments in your mind? Like just merging the two feelings together? I did that a few years ago with my need to be in a committed relationship and my need for adventure and freedom. The result was that I got BOTH rolled into one :)

    • @bashyre6877
      @bashyre6877 6 лет назад +2

      Saaaaame.
      But I belive its possible to integrate all of it.
      I think u are mixing connection with attachment.
      Attachment freaks out me, cos in my life I was too controlled by my parents. I hate ppl that are anxiously attached. I mean, not hate but I cant build friendship with them. Its so overwhelming putting boundaries and watching them being crushed by it.
      But I have, for example, 1 close male friend that is so accepting. He makes me feel so safe and with sense of belonging. I have cried in front of him and we built levels of intimacy but we don't speak over social networks nor the phone. We see each other once in a week and that's all. He is securely attached. I feel connected to him strongly and im not feared by deep talks about feelings, triggers, thoughts, psychoanalising myself in front of him, etc.
      But with others, it is hard.
      You need to find quality people to surround urself with. They are so rare. U need to be present and listen to every word so u can deliberately choose and be aware. I outpaced all my friends except the one. I keep meeting new ones and waiting for few of old ones that have potential to awaken. It takes so much time. But this one dude gives me hope they exist.
