I’m ready to connect with people and express my needs in a healthy way. If someone claims I’m too needy than we are just incompatible and there is nothing wrong with me and nothing wrong with them. This has helped me a lot.

This is truly important! I was fooling myself for a long time about my needs. And condemning myself, shaming myself about my needs. This is a huge deception, the mind can even convince you that you should do spiritual practice to become desireless. This is actually how a lot of people are doing spiritual practice until they find out they can never kill their desires!

You are right, Teal. As a homeless woman, I was so used to starving that now I have to remind myself to take care of that basic need. Now that I am in a safe place, I will be able to take care of that. I give up the idea that I don't deserve meeting the basics or that they won't happen. I am taking better care of my body. My health is important too and I will continue to take care of it even though I have already given birth.

Thank you!! My whole spiritual journey has been a process of avoiding, through, meditation, emptiness, and the idea I could get my needs through my own isolation and through some miracle of life. I've been miserable. I can see that my focus due to listening to other teachers epecially ones that focus on emptiness has created my life to reflect htis emptiness, little going on no real connections... In reality, I've always wanted my life to be full of joy, of friends, loved ones and creativity. I've experienced a ridiculous amount of trauma from those wants, that have ultimately led me down the spiritual path. I realize now that I need to focus more on my needs my full desires my dreams. I need to visualise and get past any emotional trauma and learn from them.

you can't connect with ppl that aren't there.. sometimes it's not in your hands and u just need to give up on it.. because waiting uses up a lot of energy..
Trust in Trust waiting does not use up alot of energy,,,,energy goes where you let it go
Because you may not be there yourself. Even seeming you are, but something blocks you being there. She suggests helpful exercise, with a pice of paper ask yourself :what do I have to give up in order to trully be there with other people. She explains that well.
@Larimar Sky When you accept that your family have needs of their own and learn to respect that and realize that 'they don't have to throw everything they are doing to accommodate your wishes- you'll learn to be present for yourself. They can only give what they have. It is likely that they are unable to meet their own needs (care, value, be a priority) as well. Become your own priority and you will realize that it feels great to invest in you and your own projects and sacrifice are not needed nor required.
Dear Teal, you ruined my ''Life" and I'd like to say Thank You, all my life I wanted to learn power kite surfing, and I've thought I'm not enough, I'm to busy, I'm to old, others people needs more important than my, but this video pushed me to do something crazy, and today I've purchased one and I'm going to start to learn from tomorrow can't wait. _/|\_

I'm so relieved to hear this , I've been saying the same things , I've been ashamed of the need for love, care affection , being wanted . I've been told by so many therapists to forget that and love myself , I've stucl to my understanding of what I need being the only way to heal .

And when I tried to realize where I actually can feel the feeling that I desire to feel, it was my left KNEE!
Because there was a situation when someone touched my knee in order to protect me, and it's the closest feeling I had that I can associate with caring partner who can help me to meet my need of having a father
