Cheers Tony, enjoyed the video, lovely Cod. I’m a nosy chap too, do you know what sort of boat was that out in front of you and what were they doing ... Thanks Tony you take care mate 👍🎣🎣
Hello mate, the boat thing with the crane and stilts has now joined up with the other one stephen i think they are lifting the caps onto the outlet tunnels for hinkley , the little blue boat was a pilot boat he was the one moving the fishing boats away from that rig , there was a lot going on down there yesterday
Lol ally , no im just me mind you i do come out with some strange sayings being here in somerset , ive used that saying for years , take care and thank you
Hi rob , i use so many rods mate from t1200 to stuff from the 80's , if your asking about the rods on that video chap they were some old century blanks very similar to the old amorphous whisker . Very strong rods and a good casting tool ,
@@SOMERSETBEACHFISHINGtony thanks for coming back to me. `reason I ask is `I use some old Harrison ballista carp rods 3.75 when I fish the Isle of Wight but there a little bit soft I think. Im looking for something in between a carp rod and a beach caster as I can't get on with heavy beach casters. I may be mistaken but your rods seem to be just that, what would you recommend. Also looks like you use braid with a fixed spool, are the rods setup for a multiplier (ie small first ring) and if so does this cause you any issues with wind knots? I only ask as I have a zipped bass rod id like to use with a fixed spool but not sure if it will be ok? Sorry to ramble on! PS Cracking couple of bass you had on your other vid too, good work.
@@robbaldwin8097 hi rob , i mainly stick to 12 to 13 ft rods , if i were you i would get yourself a century fireblade 12ft version , very very light and very strong , over the next few videos i will be using a pair of them , as for rods most of them are hybrid rung and braid ready , i dont suffer with wind knots thankfully , i only use good quality line etc , rob good luck chap if i can help with anything else mate just shout

@@SOMERSETBEACHFISHINGtony Cheers for the info mate, actually I shouldn't really thank you as you've probably just cost me a load of money 🤣
perhaps those boats were piloted by idiots that got lost when the tide turned maybe.
or they could be illegal immigrants ,who knows these days.
