Was sat on the sea wall outside the captains wife last august with a pint. Two lads had messed up and missed the tide to get back. They got half way back, decided it was too dodgy and went back to the island. 20 mins later they must have decided they were soaked and didn’t want a night on the island so tried again. Dodgiest thing I’ve ever seen, one slip with the tide pushing them they’d be gonners. Love the channel mate keep safe
Hi Mate, I normally like to get there 3 hours before low to wade across, i know the mark very well so i know exactly which direction to cross. If you haven't been there before I wouldn't advise it as it can be a bit dangerous. If you get there 2 1/2 hours before you be able to get across without wading and then you can comfortably fish two hours of the flood. I will be doing a video there at some point just purely showing it for these reasons
Nice sesh their butty shame about getting cut off never understand people like that got all that water and need to go so close jet skies are the worst ones I find always back and forth
@marioasprou8548 I use a fixed spool so the length per turn is higher ? I have 8 turns onto reel plus a 7 foot drop to the lead ? That's four outstretched arms plus one arm length ?

That's crazy, it's surprising how dangerous it is on there. Some people don't realise how dangerous it is until something happens
Yes, either maroon yourself on it over high or go out when the tide drops and head back before its coming in again.

So want to give Wales another go as last year was tough going, trouble is November all the holiday parks are closed when there’s decent tides

What leader poundage and length do you use over that sort of mark ?
@@PaulFrancis-bj6vp I use an 80lb leader for all of my fishing and around 12 full terns on the reel. That will give you more than enough length
