SOLA was a brilliant record and should have been way more recognized for it. They had the Crue magic back. I wish they toured heavy and played the songs of the record.
I've seen many, many rock bands live in my 50+ years, and Motley Crue tops the list. Mick Mars?... There is someone here in Texas that prays for you regularly, my dear .
haha I love the way Letterman's audience is just sitting there not moving while Motley Crue of all bands is rocking out in full force in front of them. It's like their saying "Hmmmm now let's quiety observe LA's most notorious and loud metal band from the 1980's"
Ed Mac I’ve noticed Vince tries a lot harder when they play on TV. They want to look and sound good to sell tickets. It’s all about promotion and once they’ve got your money, they probably feel they can do whatever
@@ryanredman9244 Plus, playing on TV isn't like being on Tour where you constantly have to sing every single night at that age. You can rest and prepare for a TV spot.
I have a ton of respect for Mick Mars. Nobody in the band had any idea that he was in pain all of the time. He's just a good guy!!! ROCK ON MICK MARS!!!!!
I've been to the David Letterman many times over the years. They were super strict with not permitting standing up during songs, cameras, wearing hats or sunglasses and being loud. However, the sound there was great.
@@nymike06 Really? I went once and wasn't told any of that ...but it makes sense. It's not like the whole audience will be fans of the band performing.
@@tomt6142I was there several times. I live in NY. They said they have the right to take your phone if you take photographs. I did sneak in a pic lol But they were idiots about the rules. The sound at the Ed Sullivan theater is second to none. Very good!
I have listened to and followed the Crue for years. They were the first concert I had ever seen. They kicked ass back then and are still kicking ass. It's great that Vince is sounding so good!
i'm impressed, my jaw still open. i have a son who's 2 years old and when i played this song on video or the cd he's trying to sing and try to play drum with his fingers, clap his hands when the song is finish and touch the computer keyboard to play it again, cool my son will be a metal head MOTLEY CRUE likes the children too LONG LIVE THE CRUE
I got to see them a few years back in san diego loud is the word i hear their pushin like 11,000 watts glad to see ya back guys and mick glad you pulled through your one hell of a guitarist my lady says your the one with the cutest eyes

Vince always sings new songs better than old songs, because they're fresh and he doesn't mumble as much. He hasn't sung them a million times. I remember Howard Stern the next day raved about this performance and played this song and everyone in the studio loved it.
Seen them two nights ago in Moline- They rocked! Tommy is complete nuts!! Great show. Sounded just like I would have imagined they would sound in 1987.
4:12.9 - Mick flips his guitar up, kisses it, and shows the crowd the shiny "PIMP" sticker... even at his age, with decades of Crue in his background, that scary bastard IS pimp!!! ()8^D3
Ha ha good one mate, I checked Moderatto out, jesus they were so awesome I had to stop watching and my ears couldnt comprehend the brilliance of the music, I am not worthy, truly they are the queens of rock!
What a pleasure it is to see Rock being played the right fucking way, Motley Crue are back with a Vengeance and here to fucking stay ! Long Live Rock n' Roll & Long Live the Crue !

God bless Mick...hanging in there regardless of his health. Dave was a little quick on the 80 million albums remark. Looking forward to watching Motley back here in Texas sometime soon....all original band mates.
YEAH #onestarsfan! ::woot, woot:: The way MC rolled up to Letterman brings the WILDSIDE!... I am totally getting increasingly more pumped up for a show. I only wish I could go to more. I think we could get another year of shows after this too. If the support is there to hear LIVE CRUE, it could go that way! ::pumps fist 4 ROCK::
The song and performance are fucking awesome.....reminds me of Crue back in '84 when I saw them open for Ozzy. Amazing reincarnation for this band. Mick Marrs can barely walk but the guy is fucking awesome. Vince, Nikki, and Tommy all sound great. You know, I just might have to see these guys again live! Haven't seen them since '87 but I'm ready to rock.

Too bad it was written by dj ashba and James michaels
@@smileprettymusic thank you and well said. this is hardly a Motley record since those two wrote the songs and played on the record
Pre-recorded background vocals.
And James Michael programmed all the drums (just like on the Sixx AM stuff). This record is not Tommy
Motley Crue has made a career of being underated and underestimated, long live the Crue!!!
Yes yes yes yes yes yes
Dang! This is good! Seriously, this is the level they should still be at.
I've seen many, many rock bands live in my 50+ years, and Motley Crue tops the list.

Don't make bands like this no more!! Glad I got to rock the 80s like a animal!! Today's kids have no clue !! We Rocked!!!!
I wish I coulda been an 80's child, well born in 1966 so I could be 22 years old in 1989.

Motley Crue rules. Yes, we rock
hell yah
I saw the Crue back in 1987. They are still awesome. Been listening to them since 1981.
Great song just what they need back to their roots
Vince can do a good job when he puts some effort into it.
Todd Lavigne yeah and he’s not 50+ pounds heavier than he is right here
It’s not Vince’s voice I hate, I hate when he just gives up and just mumbles
Or when he only has to sing one song and has taped backing vocals to help him out.
This was about the last live performane where Vince annunciated all his lyrics correctly. His mumble period hadn't yet begun completely.
Ed Mac I’ve noticed Vince tries a lot harder when they play on TV. They want to look and sound good to sell tickets. It’s all about promotion and once they’ve got your money, they probably feel they can do whatever
