@@lananiella I've seen the crue probably 20 times threw my life and when vince is on and is singing hes great live, but when hes to fucked up it's a fuckin train wreck
That tubes record is up there with Aja as one of the greatest albums ever made. It is about dope in general...the Crue dose a good enough job. Thanks for posting this!
@brabon1 "Poser" band you say? Motley have done everything you can possibly imagine in a lifetime and more. The women, the drugs, the violence, the music!
Gary Clark thank you for that illuminating comment. I’m now 57 and have loved this song since it’s release - way back when? Always wondered about the name of the character: Quay Lude. Thanks again 🙂🇬🇧
@@roxannestorm2616: Don´t get your panties twisted, Nancy, I like Crue´s version. It´s just not the tubes, okay? I made that comment five fvcking years ago, LOL!
I always found it odd that the Tubes made this song, it's more like something that crue would have made, the tubes have a video & it's actually a metal parody- it was way before its time
Wazz_Bree Wipple you dont have to pay anyone to play a song live. the did a studio version that im sure fee got paid for or whichever guys in the tubes wrote it.
Liked the anxiety insane lyrics of this one some i must admit however.could empathize with parts of this but motely crue really did nail it very.cool.if ya ask.me!!!
Tubes are quite good because are the original. With Mötley sounds more intense and power. Also i suggest listen up the cover in German made by Nina Hagen, called TV-Glotzer (stands for TV-VIewer, although its literally translated as TV-Glitter or TV-Goggles).
Props for covering The Tubes, but shitty version. WPOD isn't a punk song, and The Tubes are all amazing musicians, so it is difficult to perform unless the musicianship is up to par.
@sockington1 Not really SHITE just Motley CRUE which has always been marginally good, but certainly good enough for this GENRE. I know I am going to get flamed for saying that, but the 1980"s produced a lot of marginally talented Hair Bands who could cater to a really narrow audience. There were some talented bands, but most of the Rank & File Hair Bands were just really weak ass pop music dressed up as Heavy Metal. There is no way you can compare these Hair Bands to Judas Preist.
Why are there so many butthurt people in the comments?Did i miss something? Is this song a cover of something?someone please tell me cuz half of the comment section is about how Crue suck and etc.BTW CRÜE FOREVER!!!!!
RetroRaven789 This is a cover of The Tubes song from 1975. I'm not sure why everyones getting all butt hurt about it though. It's an ok version. If Tommy was there it'd have been better cuz he coulda done the background vocals.
They did a good version but left the best part of the song out which is towards the end. Cant figure out why they have the girl back up singers? ~~~oooooh~~~oooooh~~WHITE PUNKS ON DOPE~~ooooooh~~ooooooh~~HELP ME JESUS~~~~~WHITE PUNKS ON DOPE~~ooooh~~~~oooooh
Wow, that really sucked. Tempo starts bogging like hell before the first verse even hits. I really thought they'd rock this tune but this shit is not happening.
exactly "Tapkae". i think either she was just having a 'sluggish' moment here, OR, for one reason or another, god damn song had a sequence, and she was 'tethered to it'. im a drummer, and have to play with sequences, all the time. i can tell by the way she' 'holding back the tempo', that, this is likely the culprit. why in the hell would they have 'tracks? agreed. song is dragging. too slow, which steals it's energy and 'abandon'.
Nikki introduced the song, not Vince. You Tubes fans are so bitter, get over it already! Lots of bands do covers live and never mention the original artists. I've seen Joan Jett do Pretty Vacant live, I don't recall her mentioning the Sex Pistols.
Thought they have a few good songs Motley Crue always struggled with creativity, so covers are okay. But damn Vince, the song may be about cocaine to you, cause you have plenty of cash and your dealer on speed dial, but don't you even pay attention to the lyrics you are singing, "Spent my cash on every high I could find" - doesn't matter, just so you get f**up. Jesus, it matters to the song. I enjoy covers generally, but not this one too much.
You're a freaking idiot Motley Crue wasn't creative know they just put out some of the greatest albums ever Too Fast for Love Shout at the Devil dr. Feelgood you're a pussy
Tubes version way better. You have to see their version on the show Fridays. Fridays made SNL look silly, but the show was to ahead of it's time and failed.
ya we were on dope ,the 80s were fun
Tubes masterpiece
It is nice to see The Tubes get some of there due.
'Their', just saying and I do hope you're well and still rockin? 😉
holy shit vince sang every word
Right lmao 😂😂😂
I was amazed at the same thing.

I have this memory of my mom singing this song at a backyard bash my brother threw for his works softball team. Good times
Nice perfomance guys!
Awesome cover ... thank you friend
This is my favorite cover that they have done
This is actually REALLY good Thanks for posting I had no idea they did this! 👍👍
Nice cover of The Tubes classic....Sounds Heavier..and Harder...Awesome
Vince sounded great. That's not something I get to say often.
Probably pre-recorded... or post-fixed.
no man when vince tries amd before he started only singin every 3 words he sounded great live
Not a crue fan really, but they did a good with this!
@brabon1 "Poser" band you say? Motley have done everything you can possibly imagine in a lifetime and more. The women, the drugs, the violence, the music!
don't have the Tubes swagger in this version.........Tubes are KING
close but no cigar. I mean it was still cool but not the same energy to me. But how could you?
Omg seriously ? The Mötley KILLS the lame feeble Tubes version. Suck it.

prairie prince is very good drummer

It's a Crue thing!! A heavy metal version!? But good to see a band pay tribute to the Tubes!!
¡Excelente canción con fuerza & rock!
Great cover of tubes 🤘🤘🎸😎
Great cover anyway. Brilliant song! I wish Lemmy from Motörhead did it.
Dorian Grey testify !
Motorhead would have done it 3X faster and twice as loud...
I enjoyed that!
New Tattoo was a good album! Love the Tubes

I love this cover, and it ended one of Motley's best albums. Tubes fans are so bitter!

The Tour of France theme song.

Sounds like David Bowie - Gene Genie
not a bad version

Where's Quay in heels....hahahaha
A satirical song by possibly the most satirical band in rock history covered by a band that would have trouble spelling the word satire.....
Not a fan of this version. The Tubes are/were a much tighter band.
I like both versions.
My brother had this epic backyard pool party for his work softball team. My decided to get up on stage with band. This was her song. It was hilarious.
