MOTLEY CRUE - New Tattoo, excellent LP, it's tragic that the legendary RANDY CASTILLO, who drummed on New Tattoo, couldn't perform his studio tracks live on this tour, due to cancer that flared up as the band were in pre-tour rehearsals. A pro-shot performance of this lineup was done for broadcast: VH1 Live At The Hard Rock, Las Vegas. Motley Crue and Randy played a 40 min set of CRUE classics, with Randy displaying every bit of showmanship on the drums, that Tommy ever did.
That extra riff that Mick has added throughout the whole song is AWESOME!! I've seen them a bunch of times and this is tighter than they have sounded in years!!
This kicks ass VInce sounds great, Mick Mars is a beast, Samantha's drumming is awesome(although you can't really replace Tommy Lee), and Nikki Sixx is the coolest.
I like Samantha as well. Tommy Lee has to be the most underrated drummer ever .Sam was a good replacement because She CAN play and not just a piece of ass. She gave the Crue a certain look in contrast to their bad boy image and immature song lyrics. Sam with the Crue looks like a kid sister hanging out with her big Brothers .

Believe they had just lost Randy Castillo or he was very sick and Samantha was asked to fill in. Nobody plays like Tommy or Randy but I think she done pretty well given the time she had to learn these songs. Also the drums are more than likely triggered which could be causing the delay everyone is complaining about on here. I also think Vince sounds much better here than in the more recent stuff.

I feel like this was a lazy performance by Vince. Maybe trying to give the backup girls some time. I've loved his performances over the years. This one seemed like he took the night off. No disrespect so don't trash me too much. But he has been waaaayyy better.
This is the proof that Tommy Lee is the only tight guy in this band: take him out, and everything falls apart. I think sam is cool somehow, but she's sloppy and has a style that doesn't fit the Crue - and obviously she wasn't willing or didn't have the time to "copy" the original drumparts. I really miss the syncopated snare accents that both Tommy and Randy do/did.
She wasnt the drummer on that album.That drummer died of cancer .You have no clue .She was covering that song and filling in for a drummer that was dieing.
