Buckcherry perform "Lit Up" live on Motley Crue's 2008 Crue Fest tour.
Amidst all the “Just Say No” and “Don’t Do Drugs” slogans, he’s out there yelling “I love the cocaine”.!! Always found that humorous and you’ve got to give him kudos for being honest. Just a great song I can listen to over and over.
Truthfully, Josh has been clean for quite a while. This song is about the craziness of your life when you're hooked on a drug like cocaine. Still a great song!

Luis Roig did you know Velvet Revolver worked with him before they landed Scott? According to Slash everything was good, sounding good and all; said something just didn’t sound right/“fit” when they/Slash listened to the recordings of the sessions. What do you think? I just don’t see how this is true; it has to be something else, don’t you think? I could see, if he was using and Slash wasn’t it being the issue, but not what a Slash says was the issue. To me, it seems like his vocal style would have been great for a band like Velvet Revolver and they most likely would have had the same level of success with him.
All Things 11 if might have had something to do with drug use but then if they hired Scott he was never clean so that couldn’t possibly be it. You have to remember these guys would be with each other 45 weeks out of the year the last thing you want is to be with someone and have it not be right he already went through it with axel I’m guessing they just have 2 different personalities. Slash and Scott both very calm people very reserved. Josh is amped up off the walls that could be annoying.

@@allthings1150 I have thought about this a lot, and while Josh Todd is great at his thing, I don't think he was the dynamic singer that Velvet was looking for. Given, I think Todd would be amazing on top of Slash, Duff, and Sorum. In the end, I think Scott had more variety to offer.

Creo que Slash no le gustó Josh por su actitud y comportamiento.
De hecho hay créditos en una canción por parte de Keith Nelson en la guitarra.
Para mi Buckcherry es una de las últimas mejores bandas de Hard rock y es una de mis favoritas, obviamente con la alineación con Keith Nelson y Josh todd.

We did a tour with hinder and josh Todd and the conflict and I was fully expecting him to be one of those frontman who had an overinflated who, but he turned out to be one of the nicest fucking human beings I’ve ever met. He’s as amazing onstage as he is offstage. Him and Stevie both. ❤️❤️

I seen them in concert when I was 13 and believe it was 1999 edgefest in upstate New York Altamont fairgrounds Rob zombie made a entrance later that night basically jumped out of his helicopter under the back part of the stage I mean all of these people that we had just started hearing of now and then like Chevelle was there and then they all became somebody in the industry but back then they were just like something you heard of new coming out it was kind of cool because it was like a little history lesson like a concoction of everyone from who came out of that era was there I got Josh Todd's autograph on the back of a flyer from the show Good times 23 years ago seems like only yesterday I remember it just like it was earlier in the day it's strange how quick life goes and there's certain things that stick out in your mind or those little things you remember and that's a whole another subject but I definitely feel like we're on this Earth at this point in time to learn I believe it is some sort of classroom man how I miss those days but cherish the memories

This brings back memories from when my bandmates and I saw them live at Rockfest at Sandstone in KCK. 25 bands in 12 hours, so much fun. Todd is an awesome performer.

I think that is Stevie D., he now is the lead / main guitarist. The guy who's playing slide in this track is Keith Nelson, the guy who wrote the music for Lit Up and played on the album. I think he left, and Stevie D. then took the #1 guitar position.
