saw them at the house of blues in cleveland, ohio and there was hardly anyone there, yet these guys rocked like they were performing in front of 50,000 people. they were great
Man. This is some lyrical brilliance. Just listen to that amazing "dirty word scat" he busts into at 2:20. Sheer talent right there. What would the world do without such an amazing band? I wish half the bands today were even a quarter as good as these guys.
Awesome!! I love this version... the breakdown in the middle is hilarious. The second guitarist chose a good time to have technical problems...all the way through the breakdown...
This was at SummerSonic, a 2-day rock event held annually outside Tokyo. I was at this performance. Someone wrote "hot show": In fact, it was over 100 degrees at this show, and the girl I was with fainted from the heat at the end of this song! Japanese generally don't go as crazy as people in other countries. But I also think they weren't familiar with Buckcherry. I've seen Japanese fans go nuts at this annual event for Green Day, Zebrahead, and the Sex Pistols, among others.
@lcsmiller12345 Actually he's been sober for about 15 years now. The band didnt kick him out after Time Bomb flopped him and Keith decided to call it quits and he went solo. Then they were originally in Velvet Revolver but after Slash fired them they decided to reform Buckcherry with new members
It's okay, but I know what you all mean - not many groups sound great live. But this could be a number of issues - technical, little to no rehearsal time, or they didn't feel like it today. Nice tattoos the singer and guitarist have, btw.
He looks lit up in this vid lol but I love the band.Don't know if yall hear of X-Fest buts its a big thing here in Dayton Ohio,BuckCherry rocked but what sucks is there are two stages on each side of a huge field and two bands played at the same time so I chose buckcherry over Avenged Sevenfold. Before a song he asks if anyone has ever taken bong hits to the song I wonder its that part of the show he repeats allways
@yankeeny30 i know this is a old comment but i dont think it was till 06 that he cleaned up. if u rember they kicked him out of the band till he cleaned up
@DoublePlow I was too young when Shock Me came out to remember it now, so thanks for enlightening me. The main "hook" of the song is the same! There's very little out there that's original - we humans just keep copying our ancestors and trying to improve it. Just watch for the liars who claim "100% original, my idea".
Dirty sleazy rock..fuck yeah Seen an interview where the guy asked Todd about doin drugs, his reply was if you are going to do them , do them to the excess hahaha..
@JeremyMoar I wish Buckcherry's studio albums still rocked this hard. Their self-titled debut ranks right up there with GN'R's Appetite for Destruction
Lol, it’s EXACTLY the same riff. They should put Frehley in the credits... it’s a cool song. Taking Ace’s riff doesn’t make it less of a jam, but it’d be nice that the OG’s get the respect they deserve!
such a underrated band. Yeah there dirty, explicit, rude. But baby thats what rock n rolls about! They have all the stuff, the solos, the riffs, and catchy ass tunes! GREAT BAND. only other "new band" i can think of that rocks this hard is Airborne.
I feel sorry for them. They;ve been touring with KISS, and because everyone's so psyched to see KISS they don't give Buck Cherry the credit they deserve.
@compsciguy Umm no offense but I never said there was a band called Slash. I said that Slash fired Josh and Keith from an early version of Velvet Revolver
I don't think so. I was watching a couple vids of Crazy Bitch, and he looks pretty blitzed there. Since Crazy Bitch was written in '06, that makes this one before those.
@mogwix well of course they're famous musicians, but in rock fans in general, these guys don't get credit. I see a lot of people calling this band "posers" and every other name and i don't understand why.
Not saying anything about his singing because I dig it but if this dude is anything like my old roommate, it won't be but a few hours before you have no choice but to knock him out.
@JeremyMoar i know they're good but you have failed to mention adelitas way, rev theory, theory of a deadman is pretty good but rev and adelitas are harder than these guys, sorry to say, dont' get me wrong though, these guys are sweet
I think they're on cocaine right there. Straight up... I love this song. This sounds tired, exhausted... and like they're just sick of doing this song. I can imagine that playing this same song over and over again for 6 months night after night can just kill that drive. And... they need to let Mr. Les Paul take the solos from Mr. Tele. Mr. Tele couldn't slide if there was a ladder with a sign pointing to the sandbox. There's a thing about rock, you can play out of tune, if you play well.
wait a manute.. the audience is all teenage japanese girls... 2:10 and that black guy doesn't seem very pleased with their music. I feel like this band could put on a good show under the right circumstances.
saw them at the house of blues in cleveland, ohio and there was hardly anyone there, yet these guys rocked like they were performing in front of 50,000 people. they were great
Love me some Buck Cherry even at 51yrs old

William Dafao's side gig is absolute fire.
They are one of the best new bands out there. They are keeping rock alive.
Amazing hardrock!!!
Buckcherry is great!!!
What an intelligent band, and not to mention such intelligent lyrics!!!
Surprises pants didn’t fall down around his ankles, but I love this song. I love the energy.
God I get a rush from just seeing his energy.I ain't a coke head but I do it now and then and its great kids
one of the few bands from today that actually knows how to rock. we need more bands like this instead of that power pop badness
How do ya feel about that now?
woot woot 2 great bands im seeing tonight at cobo see ya there.
From Slo Gin by Kiss to lit up by buck cherry. Same riff different chemical 35 years later. fucking brilliant..
Man. This is some lyrical brilliance. Just listen to that amazing "dirty word scat" he busts into at 2:20. Sheer talent right there. What would the world do without such an amazing band? I wish half the bands today were even a quarter as good as these guys.
He is still fabulous!!
@@jeanasmith1729 This was sarcasm 12 years ago, and it remains as such. Band is horrifically bad.
LMFAO holy this is priceless 😂
@@Cessate 90% of their catalogue is actually very solid rock n roll. Actually great, unique lyrics from Josh. They’re mostly just a good time.

Now, THIS is rock and roll at it's finest!!!
That Is So Cool!!!
I Really Love Buckcherry

thanks. I had a bad day at the office at the time and snapped.
Damn! You're right! I hadn't heard that before.
The riff is "Shock Me" by Kiss/ace Frehely.
its very obvious.
i saw them opening to kiss!! yesterday at fort lauderdale!!
Greatest adliv video of all time
Kick ASS MUSIC!
Love this
its all teenage Japanese girls in the audience.......they must think its the Mickey Mouse club on stage......ha ha ha.

IDOLI!!
Josh you rocked poor Watertown with TaddyPorter great show
This might win the prize for most intelligent and humorous rebuttal of a stupid comment that I've seen in some time. Very nice.
What a coincidence that the person who uploaded this video username is around the same as Buckcherrys original name, Sparrow :)
i saw them live in Belgium at biggest metal meeting of the benelux : GRASPOP ! :D
ROCK ON!!!!!!!!

Funny, I always the opening riff sounded like Shock Me.
I don't see why so many people don't like Buckcherry.
Finally an honest rock and roll song.
theyre opening for kiss, when they go past 36 years and i hear more radio play from them, then tell me theyre better
At 2:27 you can tell he id lit the hell up,has anyone every heard him use those lyrics used before or was he high and felt like saying that
im lit up again!

1ex1uger GREAT album
This was a retarded take 12 years ago, and remains as such.
@NightShade1218 'the answer' too. fukin awesome band.
I love this song, but yeah, it absolutely plagerizes Space Ace's Shock Me riff
Plagerize is harsh....perhaps influenced is the word....
Never heard the tune. Gonna check it out.
Man, it's different but barely. I'd say Ace had a lawsuit if he chose to.
Lol, it’s EXACTLY the same riff.

I liked this song better the first time it was recorded by Ace Frehley. Its called SHOCK ME!!!!!!!!!!!
