Found out what to do about this problem in my garage, which was very lucky for me. Walked over to the car, pushed the button on the FOB to open the door. Nothing happened. No beeps or unlocking. Discovered the battery in the FOB had died. Imagine this happening some place away from help. Had to take the FOB apart. Used a Phillips screwdriver to do that. Had a set of jewelry screwdrivers in my garage. The small one was the one to use. By pure luck I had a couple of batteries of the type used in the FOB. Now I carry a small Phillips screwdriver and two spare batteries in my car, just in case the BOB battery dies some where, where there is no help to fix a dead FOB .

Ignition has to be on - not engine on for fuel flap to open. Love the content..

AC is on if buuton is out. Press 'Stop' in to switch off (stop AC).

@@MagicModena Just had to replace my AC condenser & drier so it's currently been high up on my radar. Another slight pain is that ignition needs to be on to open front bonnet.

The engine does not need to be on to open the petrol flap, just the ignition.
There’s also a pull handle under the dash to open the front bonnet should the solenoid fail (just like the emergency handle for the petrol cap)
