First time I’ve ever listened to Chris talk and have to say he has a fan in me after this. The way he defended his father showed what a high level of integrity and decency the man has and the that has to be due at least somewhat to his father.

Always worth a watch the Overlap interviews as they tend to give a real interesting insight into the personality of a person we don't or at least rarely get to see outside of what the media provide. Gary's relaxed and timed interview technique really helps too as I always find the convo's just flow as like they would if they were just chatting off camera. 👏

Whether you love him or hate him. I believe just like his father when all is said and done he will finally get respect for all he has put into the sport. Never been a Eubank hater as love that they're different and, largely I suspect, true to themselves. Not every son can match their father's achievements and Snr set a ridiculously high bar but Jnr is game and tough so deserves every respect. Personalities make boxing better and there's no denying the Eubanks have been great in that regard! I was impressed with Smith and he is the better technician but I won't be surprised if Chris Jnr takes it on a late stoppage.

As a 54 year old man, when I went through middle school, I got the slipper, the cane, and slapped, by teachers. It wasn't abuse, and I deserved it. The modern generation is too soft, and this has led to gen z being so arrogant and complaining about every little thing which 'offends' them. But, when it comes down to it, they are soft, and should national service be brought back god help us.
