Agree 100%...damn term for gearscore shouldn't even be part of damage formula. Weapon damage and armor values already are representative of gearscore. This extra term just creates issues. Altho removing it definitely will need some other multiplier to match damage output back to roughly what we're getting today
I agree that the gearscore scaling should be removed. It doesn't even achieve its goal of giving low level players a chance in open world pvp as they will still get destroyed just due to lack of attribute points, lack of good perks and low main weapon gs. All that this does is make it optimal for max level players to tank their avg gs.
Tested healing breeze with VG and could not get it to trigger with any vg abilities, or traps with musket, im starting to suspect it might only trigger from ls abilities. Or is it completely broken.
It is almost like they are actively going out of their way to make players quit..
For months we have fought players in races and capping forts that seemed way too tanky. To now find out what has been going on all along is beyond frustrating. The FACT that lowering your gearscore can provide you with an advantage and that many of us are just finding out now, has really changed how I feel about AGS and New World. I still play everyday, while my companymates have moved on to other games. I have been holding out hope that this big announcement will be the catalyst to bring my friends back to New World have been shattered. Nobody wants to play (return) a game where this GearScore "Feature" is considered "working as intended". I will be listen to the announcement this afternoon and then decide if I join my friends playing other games. I want to thank you for bringing this to the communities attention.

Woudlnt be an easy fix to just copy paste this calculation add the old vallues only to players level 1-lets say 60. and after level 61 you get endgame calculations without absuse?
Well then the low level players would have good dmg but not good resistance. I like the idea don’t quite think it works.

@@mecr0w I honestly would be curious on your thoughts of ESO combat. It is light years off from New World. I personally couldn't make the switch back. ESO combat is it's weakest element.
@@mecr0w free access at the moment for their 10yr anniversary. the combat doesn't have the "weight" of New World, it's kind of floaty. once you get used to it though there are a ton of options.
Why did they not just use level scaling instead of gearscore?

@@mecr0w if someone whants to play, what's the first think they see in search about the game? Bugs, unplayable for years, dead - pretty much like this. So, why would people whant to join? Its B2P as well, not free
Healing breeze is gutted. Only works with actual abilities. Doesn’t work with things like gs steadfast heal or energized passive. It works with orb of decay…

Does not work with orb for me, not with any VG abilities actually. Did you test it?
Not from traps with musket either
@@fooojin yeah when the walk through the green orb when it comes back but the heal is small
ok im bit brainless so tell me if im wrong but so what i understand healing breeze no longer procs shrikings heals and only procs of certain skill treee abilties i hate when the do this is like nature wraith artifact lets introduse something just help 1 class firestaff geuse i put my new ring in storage lets not talk about gs stuff honestly dont want do pvp because im forced use this broken mecanic because the otherside use it this shit brings back trauma from early game when use ig to lag the server tank using window bug and hatchet players had unlimted dmg
It was dumb that healing breeze worked with shirking heals to begin with.
