This is the longplay of the game Contra III: The Alien Wars, an action and platform game released for Super Nintendo in 1992. This game was released in Japan under the name Contra Spirits and in Europe as Probotector (where the human protagonists were replaced by robots). ).
The game takes place in the year 2636, two years after the events of Super Contra. The protagonists Bill Rizer and Lance Bean are called once again, against an alien invasion.
Contra has an 80s action movie feel, with a lot of explosions and gunfire. The characters use machine guns with different types of fire to destroy alien threats, as well as smartboms (which destroy all enemies on the screen). Shots have different formats, with different levels of power and range and each player can carry two types at a time.
Taking advantage of Super NES technology, in this game the graphics are improved compared to previous games, in addition to having an evolution in sound and gameplay. It is considered by many to be the best game in the Contra series. It can be played in single-player or a two-player cooperative mode.
This video was made in co-op mode, in hard mode and with the best ending. Hope you like it.

No online pass, no add on, no skins...just a good fkin Game...
Agreed mate, when gaming was gaming. The industry has lost its way. Thank God for retro gaming.
Yea i really dont understand the games of nowadays. All are so dumb for me. And so many ppl addicted
For real bro
People would complain more if a game has no add ons.
“Lack of content”
I’m sure we all heard of it.
Nothing wrong with add-ons, but everything wrong with using add-ons, passes, etc to bleed as much money as possible from the consumer. I miss the SNES days. I haven’t purchased a new system since PS3.
Good old days, when life was simple. 😎
Not so much... Damn Hard game
@@celieoliveira8841 bota difícil nisso até no facil através do save station eu sofri pra zerar é q na vdd sou ruin mesmo kkk
Agreed for sure.
Old days wen friends came over your house and had a blast! Now days is only online at home alone 😔
@@geovannilugo5435 Yup so sad 😞
This brings back the memories, and some tears! Me, and my stepfather, played this all the time together. He was an adult, but he was heavy into video games like me and my siblings. This Contra game helped us strengthened our bond. He’s gone now, but seeing this video of the game just makes me think about all those times when life was easier and a lot more happier…
Do the same for another, my brother.
That's sad bro man I understand just like you figure that this generation they don't know man that there was enough time it wouldn't have it so easy like they got now I don't run that cuz it's true😎🎚️💯
The music , the graphics , the game play. ... my childhood
Love it
Is so synthwave badass action type
This music is INCREDIBLE even based on today's standards. The action, sound effects etc. it's like a well oiled machine. This game held up well.
the Contra III soundtrack always slapped
I laughed at those who said the Gensis version- Hard Corps was better than this LOL
Man this game had the best soundtrack ever. This game wasn’t easy by any means
Surprisingly I can easily beat this game and im not that good.
@@mikeyounes2756 Yeah it really wasn't one of the harder games. I got to a point where I could beat it in one life.
@@Ihave10billionsubs wow one life is pretty good. This game is a masterpiece.
Konami SNES games had some of the best soundtracks of that era
@@jwyh4162 Super Castlevania IV and Axelay ... Music composed by a Japanese woman I believe
No DLC, No coin points fuckery. Just a hard ass game with a dope ass soundtrack. Oh and sound effects, that are stuck in everyone's head till this day..
I brought this out of the closet after at least two decades and called my brother over. We played on hard and we're still able to finish it. It was like no time had passed. What was it about this generation of gaming that makes it so memorable verse what came later. There were a lot of great titles in the next gen counsels.
The music in this game is a hell of good, nice memories
10:12 - Everyone remembers how sweaty their palms got from here during this climb =P and the relief they felt as they got to the top. The music, sound effects, and especially the enemy encounter designs, all show how much thought the developers put into their game.
Konami and snes were a golden duo. I’ll remember playing this a lot with a friend of mine, it was the reason together with mario kart to play on the snes. We went to sega to play streets of rage 2. Great times!
“It’s time for revenge.”
“Let’s attack aggressively.”
🤘
And they attacked aggressively
@@omerfarooq894 Hell yeah they did.
Konami was best known for their games including Metal Gear Solid, Winx Club, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time, Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel Mix, Top Gun, Prince of Persia, Tiny Toon Adventures, the Castlevania series, Metal Warriors, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Xiaolin Showdown and Contra 3: Alien Attack
Thank you Japan for making my childhood great.
Love and respect from India to gamers worldwide
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪✌
God, this is art.
I don't think ps5 or xbsx can make a better contra than this.... an epic classic
This was my first SNES game. I miss it. I want my SNES back!
You could get a supaboy off amazon
It's like a hand held snes .
Man, the second that boss music would start, my heart rate would increase and my palms would start to sweat. What an incredible gaming experience this was back in the day. It’s still an awesome game. One of my all time favorites.
El mejor Contra de la historia.
Incredible, amazing teamwork. One of the most difficult games in SNES!!!!
BattleToads has entered the chat
Hmm can't remember if its hard on snes like it is on nes or not. If not try Mystical Ninjas on snes on 2 player, fun and the difficulty spikes are halfway through, gets pretty hard. Can't remember if you can choose to play on hard mode, or if there even is an option to choose difficulty, but one to try for sure. This is coming from a guy who can solo contra 3 hard aswell as 2 player and think its just decent challenge.
Also MN is another konami game from that golden era on snes.
😂😂😂😂
Amazing game on the greatest console ever. And when Konami made incredible games. They really got the best out of the Snes. Axelay is another gem!!
Axelay is wonderful
Gradius 3, Batman Returns, Sunset Riders, Castlevania 4, and other quality games like mystical ninja is what made the Konami vs Capcom debate.
@@cherokeefit4248 Totally agree have them all !!
I agree with you brother
Cybernator needs a honorable mention
2 players, yeah, that's how it should be done. Contra is notoriously hard playing alone!
and you have to play on hard for a true/best ending
@@pasha21363 Yeah, which I seriously don't like, considering all the trouble I had beating NORMAL...
@@LITTLE1994 set the lives counter to 7 in the options then
Shattered soldier was the worst. Never beat that one. I got so good at Contra 3 that I could make it to the last stage without continues. Shattered soldier handed me my ass so many times I gave up
Mr PL4Ndemic loves Contra games.
There is nothing like that old school.
Homens de cultura, apreciando material dw bom gosto.😎😎
This was the best one out of all of them. 👍🏿
An absolute throwback to a game that had a huge impact on my childhood. A game that I was able to destroy easily then but would probably lose half way through a run now.
Hard game, nice to see someone decided to do a co-op.
"I'm very hungry. Give me the Spread."
(Serves up Laser)
"No! I don't want that."
Nice to see how the game was beat.
I never got passed the brain enemy since I always played solo. Can't believe how close I was to beating it. 😂
Still fun memories with many hours spent. 🎮
There was a spot before you start fighting the bosses in the last stage where you can just stand and shoot at the aliens. I would just leave a book on the controller and rack up 1 ups. I'd go make a snack then come back 😂. When I got to 30 I would start again.
That's funny, cause it's one of the easiest bosses, if not the easiest in the whole game. 😂 You can shoot the spinning barrier thing around it to choose which attack it will do. If you shoot the spikey one, it gives out guns and bombs, and you can keep doing that until it's dead.
@@shaunp253 Eye balls gives out a bunch of free lives
Now I know this 30 years later 😂
The snes being stressed and outstripd, almost hanging at 46megabits at rom (on the game cartridge), forcing and pushing everything he gots on the SA1 chipset when huge enemies came and players fire up all weapons at the screen ... is magical I can pratically smell the grey and purple plastic heating up on the cartridge and console. This game was (is) my Nemesis. Never ended it. Thanks for playing it here. legend.
Me and my little brother game as kids I miss playing this with him RIP Jacob
Thank you for a great video! I loved playing when I was in my mid 20's
Uno de los juegos que mas jugué en mi Snes, gracias ma hasta el cielo por comprármelo!!

My brother's(RIP) favorite game on the SNES. He would tell me to stop playing my games.
This was such a great game! Great replay value
Those explosions efects and sounds are legendary!!!
Boa noite mestre, este jogão nunca pude zerá-lo, também não com os meus primos, lá nos anos 90, quando era criança. Agora de adulto tampouco posso zerar ele 😂😂😂😂. Um abraço e muito obrigado como sempre.
good old times, I used to play this game with my two old brothers and all our friends from the hood, just by hearing the songs I feel the nostalgia of those times
NINGUN JUEGO PUEDE SUPERAR ESTO....JAMAS....COMO PODRE CONSEGUIR ESTO Y VOLVERLO A JUGAR....DIOS
This game was ahead of it’s time!!!! Damnnnn what a fucking game!
Good effort! Really good...
I beat this game once every day during my college life - takes about 15-20 minutes if I recall correctly
So it was honestly free-flowing to me.
I miss the game. It was a long time ago. Time sure flew by pretty fast...
me and my cuz played this so much. best contra for us
Its amazing how that thing is throwing time bombs
14:20
classic man, was the good old days. All them levels had a hectic fun urgency to them! 🔥🔥🔥 Soundtrack was top notch too!
Just pure fun! Thanks!
Love Stage 3 with the Drama climbing up
and music fits so perfect
Masterpiece ever. Greatness
My first SNES game I ever played & boy, it was no cakewalk! Glad to have had the chance to beat it with my cousin all those years ago. 🎮
Cara que jogo top.. Saudades. No tempo que vc ia pra uma locadora de vídeo game e fazia novos amigos e "enterava" pra jogar umas 5 horas e zoar.. Bom de mais.
Nostalgia. I played super nintendo about 25 years ago. It was a cool childhood.
Oh boy bring back memories I love contra and Metroid
9:05 cheeks clinched the WHOLE time. Couldnt slide a greased BB up there it was so tight. Immpecable and flawless team work. Unreal!!!
recordar es vivir, grcias por compartir tan buen juegos.
Gracias y saludos! ;)
Contra a legendary game ... 👍 Gave me goosebumps when I remember playing it during my school days now I'm married... Thinking about those where the beautiful childhood days 👍 Thank u for the sweet memories 🙏
My favorite game as a kid. I remember it being so hard for me as a child so I made my parents buy me the game genie lol. Good times
Friggin awesome
When I was a kid, I played this game so much that I was able to beat it with out dying effortlessly. I used the Turbo controller, and put the auto turbo switch on to switch guns back and forth with the Crush gun x2 or Spread gun x2. Killed those bosses in a blink of an eye. Good times.
I thought this game was impossible to beat...thanks for the gaming closure
Wow this does bring me back to my childhood when i played this game with my little brother
This Game, Super Metroid, NBA JAM, Mortal Kombat II, Super Castlevania, and the very 1st Super Mario Kart, DKC, Actraiser, plus so many others I can't think of right now, but the 90's were some great time for gaming IMO.
U remind me when i was a kid like watching this game so much. By that time i had no money to play just only standing and watching behind.
i remember this was the best graphics at home for me. the co op was insane. i really liked this game.
This was my favorite contra back in the good old days.
This was an awesome game to play with my cousins back in the day
Awesome
Can never get board of this game good memories 👍🏾😎🥹
Love it
Man Contra was the game back in day, I use to like playing Contra
Joguei muito na minha infância.... nossa q alegria..
Year and half to close this game in Very Hard as a kid with some friends. We trained every afternoon after school. A lots of snacks, lost lives, blisters in our thumbs, anger and frustration specially on last stage. An later I had "PCST" - Post Contra Stress Disorder. KONAMI was huge in those times.
Aaaah the memories! I seem to remember the boss fights being much harder on the hard setting.
Was the ending different from hard and normal. I remember beating on all the settings except the hardest setting
I still play this legendary game
Só nostalgia assistindo o vídeo desse jogão! minha infância foi uma das melhores 🎉🎉🎉
gla gla gla gla gla gla gla gla gla gla gla
Memories man☺️
My favorite contra game
That exfiltration at 24:45 was the most chad thing on earth :D
Always an explosive opening
Those were the days Konami.
One of the best game ever i enjoy this so much and contra NES 1 and 2 excelente game to play with a friend
I miss you Contra... hope you come back updated
One of the coolest games of the 16-bytes era ... just perfect.
A musica do PREDADOR aos 24:55 é demais nesse jogo !!! The theme music from PREDATOR in 24:55 is awesome in that game !!!
The first snes game that I played in a rented snes. I remember how accomplished i felt when I finished the game in hard mode without using cheats.
before independence day film, the best intro , blowing things up from the start, i was good at difficult, need this rebooted hq, all intense;;
I grew up on this and I never turned out to be a mass shooter or anything dangerous.
Childhood memories i want to go back
My favorite SNES game
such a good game, the pacing is great!
Bro….. you just fucking unlocked a core memory for me. This is fucking amazing!
Yoooo 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The flame thrower finally got the respect it deserved and got a huge upgrade compared to the first two Contras. In Contra III, it was shortrange blowtorch on steroids, and my favorite weapon.
amazing players!!
Well I’m playing Super Cyborg and it’s fun
The good old days. Just turn on the console and play and have fun. Rage afterwards lol
Yep 😂. I punched my old crt so many times. Those TVs hit back though.
Let's attack aggressively - I got the reference in Infernax
🗣"How sway"😳
Dis game was so hard and u guys did it wit easy👏🏾
Now i wanna play🤣🎮
My bro and I used to both hold L + R buttons after beating bosses to flex on them. We crushed this game on hardest difficulty. Good times😅
Back then it didn't seem so easy... the split screen was just mind blowing the first time, "where am I, where are you!?"
😎👍 Classic
