Like I can lift a flap up it up almost like opening a fishes gil. Tried to clip off the extra but this was difficult to do and now I have what appears to be some open wounds on my feet. I need a solution that makes this easier to do without the use of a pumice stone if at all possible. does anyone have any suggestions?

Always be careful when you are diabetic. You do not want to abrade the skin such that it might bleed. Removing calluses is important because they can become ulcers but if you doubt your ability to do it safely you should consult a podiatrist to do it for you. Thanks for your comment.

The pumice stone works well with calluses that do not have a central core to it. If you have a corn on the bottom of your foot you can use the pumice stone to help debride away the tough skin but you will have trouble getting any core out. So I would also incorporate the padding system I explained in this video:ruclips.net/video/w1tXvTBFwZg/видео.html
      I do hope this helps.
