I have learned to breathe thru it. Thank God it is not constant. I also have a tens unit for everything except my face. It helps me so much. They are not expensive if you buy through Amazon. I only use it when I have a bad flair up. The trick is to be generous with the amount you use. I put about a quarter's worth on each foot. Feet get cold sometimes.n I have tingling in both feet everyday I have a good pulse in both top feet but I can’t really feel it in the ankles why is that
What about when my left foot is often slight purple and toes are constantly numb, I also took a thermal scan and my left foot is 3 degrees colder than my right?
I have couple of Yoga exercise which screech all part of the feet . Panful to start with then pain goes away with practice and end up with very healthy feet with good blood circulation.
Thanks Dr. Great information. I have some some swelling lines of tissues around ankles of both feet. What is this phenomenon Plz comment on these. I have started difficulty in walking now. My age is 60.
Yep just tried this pinching the foot and looks ok (cant find arteries though). But I was still diagnosed with PAD ???. I still have the numbness in the legs (not neuropathy), and its the thing that wakes me up in the morning.
I often get cold feet in winter, would it have a lot to do with over tightening the top of my hiking boots ? Does the MAIN blood circulation come from the top of the foot or elsewhere ?
The primary blood flow to the foot is through the Posterior Tibial artery which runs behind the leg and along the inside of your heel bone. The dorsalis pedis artery runs along the top of your ankle and foot. If you tighten your boots too much you could cut off some peripheral circulation. Have you considered Raynauld's? Ask your doctor about this.
thanks. i cant feel nthe pulse on my feet. the other things r ok.Also, in the morning ,when i get out of bed and start walking around,,i get discomfort in my feet overall,..it lasts just a few minutes tho. Is that likely neuropathy? i dont have diabetes.
A nerve conduction study can usually determine if the toe numbness is related to an ortho problem. A consultation with a neurologist is a good place to start. They can also discuss the available options for treatment depending on what they find to be the actual cause.

Holy crap, that's what I've been through for the last two years. It is truely a scary experience. A real horror movie daily. To this day, I haven't been able to address what is the actual cause and solution. What is know is that my body needs more blood flow.

I twiddle my toes and move my feet when sitting relaxed . My right hand four fingers also have chilblains above the nails .. what causes this . It only happens when the weather is colod . I live in South Portugal.
Thanks for your comment Richard. I just had a patient with chilblains, or pernio as it is sometimes called, this past week. Exposure to cold temps causes the small blood vessels to "tighten" up. It is almost like the vessel spasms in reaction to the cold. Sometimes the skin will develop painful, itchy lesions and/or blisters. I suspect that it isn't just frigid temperatures (below freezing) that cause the problem but also that damp cold weather which is what I imagine you experience in South Portugal this time of year.
