    I have fibromyalgia. The newest victim is my feet. I could just cry when it decides to come calling. My husband had a deep vein thrombosis. He also has PAD. 2 bypass surgeries, several stints later he still has both legs and feet. He was a pilot and I believe the long cockpit hours aided this. His circulation is at 30% but this is as good as it will get. By all means see a Dr if your foot turns colors. Quick action and the good Lord is why my husband still has his leg.

      @@tabassamnaz5432 Have you seen a Pain Management Dr? I would try a Rumotologist as well. I cannot take Steroids, Lyrica or Neurotin. They all mess with my heart. Lots of people have good outcomes with the Lyrica and Neurotin. Pain medication does NOTHING for nerve firing. I had a very bad bone infection in my jaw. The nerve in my face fires. I have learned to breathe thru it. Thank God it is not constant. I also have a tens unit for everything except my face. It helps me so much. They are not expensive if you buy through Amazon. It was cheaper than my insurance copay. I also use MagnaLite DB pain relieving foot cream. I can only find it on Amazon. It is a little pricey, but helps me so much. I think I paid $17 for 4 oz. I only use it when I have a bad flair up. The trick is to be generous with the amount you use. I put about a quarter's worth on each foot. Rub it in really good, and immediately put on a pair of loose socks. You have to remember that Doctors are limited to what they can do. Neurontin is now a controlled drug hence Pain Management. I can tell you it keeps my husband from going insane with nerve damage in his legs. I hope this helps. If nothing else, print off my comments and take it to your Doctor. Maybe it will help your regular physician in getting you to the proper Specialist. They may send you to a Vascular Specialist to check your blood flow. By all means go.

    I’m only 26 , but my feet especially my toes and my hands ( especially the tips ) have been like pure ice cubes for a week or so , so I’ve come to RUclips looking for ways to check if it’s my circulation. I work too much to get to a doctor . I was concerned of it causing blood clots if it is poor blood circulation. Lot of my family have had blood clots . I often get cold feet in winter, would it have a lot to do with over tightening the top of my hiking boots ? Does the MAIN blood circulation come from the top of the foot or elsewhere ?

    • @frugalfoot4973
      @frugalfoot4973  3 года назад +2

      The primary blood flow to the foot is through the Posterior Tibial artery which runs behind the leg and along the inside of your heel bone. The dorsalis pedis artery runs along the top of your ankle and foot. If you tighten your boots too much you could cut off some peripheral circulation. Have you considered Raynauld's? Ask your doctor about this.

    If there is compression of Nerve due to Ortho problem will it cause Numbness on Toes? Will it lead to any problem?
    What treatment is needed.?

    • @frugalfoot4973
      @frugalfoot4973  3 года назад +1

      A nerve conduction study can usually determine if the toe numbness is related to an ortho problem. A consultation with a neurologist is a good place to start. They can also discuss the available options for treatment depending on what they find to be the actual cause.

      Holy crap, that's what I've been through for the last two years. It is truely a scary experience. A real horror movie daily. To this day, I haven't been able to address what is the actual cause and solution. What is know is that my body needs more blood flow.

      Thanks for your comment Richard. I just had a patient with chilblains, or pernio as it is sometimes called, this past week. Exposure to cold temps causes the small blood vessels to "tighten" up. It is almost like the vessel spasms in reaction to the cold. Sometimes the skin will develop painful, itchy lesions and/or blisters. I suspect that it isn't just frigid temperatures (below freezing) that cause the problem but also that damp cold weather which is what I imagine you experience in South Portugal this time of year.

    I had a stellate ganglion block to the neck for shoulder pain. After the block my bread pressure dropped and I had chest pain. Then I noticed I lost all the hair on my legs. I can see the big blood vessel by my ankle but I can't feel the pulse. So what does it mean and how do I get the circulation back in my legs? Skin is soft on my feet and not shiny.

    My toenails are turning blue-black, I feel strange tingling and pain in feet. Had Graves Disease for 8 years, then got diabetes 1 year ago. Got Radioactive Iodine treatment 6 months ago. Now this circulation issue and high Uric Acid have started. What should I do? My doctor gave me Uric Acid medicine & blood thinner.

    Just check out the subpapilary venous plexus filling time by squeezing the toe until it blanches and then letting go. The pink should return in 3 seconds
