When I was younger, About 7 or 8 and I would get to see my grandpa, He would always play this song. I only got to see my grandpa every few years But Everytime he would put this song on and make me sing it. One time he put it on the jukebox while we were at a truck stop/restaurant place. And he made me get up and sing it for everyone. Ever since then I have been singing, I'm 16 now, in a band and my grandpa has been gone for 6 years. I love you grandpa dan and I hope I'm making you proud
I love this song so much. When I was a little girl my mom would sing this to me to help me fall asleep at night and as I got older it became our song. :) absolutely amazing song
I lost a Mother also. Condolences to you . Think of the good times This Song and Torn was my Mother's Favs. Smile and let your heart reminisce of the Good Times. BS if you live a good life. God will let you see her again. God's Blessings 🙏
Forgot how much I loved this song and her... She makes you wanna lay in bed and snuggle a pillow and just cry because you need a good cry... Here listening in 2018 because I love this old school country!!
Still one of my all time favorites from Trisha! I just love her very emotional vocal performance on this . I also love the Roy Orbison/Mavericks influence. I would love for this style of country to make a comeback!
Amazing song and artist. This was a great year for her, a "comeback" of sorts from the previous few years and seems like she was everywhere that year, including Barbara Walters Most Intriguing People of the Year year end special. "Where Your Road Leads" is still my favorite album of hers and of all time. It is truly her peak album that shows what she can do with her voice, image, and song choice.
I’m not sure I’d label it as a comeback as she had number one singles and platinum albums pretty consistently, but it was more so her peak of the 90s. I definitely get what you are saying though!
She sure can! She doesn't need an auto-tune mic like so many use today, she can actually hit the notes she wants to hit. Another thing, She doesn't SCREAM all the way through a song like others do now. Beautiful voice & beautiful lady too.
Wow, this song can sure bring a tear to my eye. What a marvelous performance by this outstanding singer. Job very, very well done. Thanks for the post.
I never realized what a great singer *Trisha* is. I guess attending the *Garth Brooks World Tour* in *Denver* *March 21st was an eye opener. *Great Show*
When I was growing up, I really hated country music at one point. To be completely honest, I thought country music was too twangy sounding and I associated it with things like mullets, full strength Budweiser beer and Achy Breaky Billy Cyrus and I just wasn't feeling it. One night when I couldn't sleep I was up scanning the radio for something to listen to on my Sony AM/FM portable radio and this came on. After that, my music tastes changed and today my playlists include a wide variety of country and bluegrass artists. Trisha Yearwood definitely made me a country fan though. Nobody I had listened to before I heard this song had an effect on my music tastes like she did. Years later this is still such an amazing song. I can't believe 1995 was 29 years ago. It feels like yesterday to me.
I love that chord during the chorus it's a A7/C# sounds ominous and sad the way she builds into that line that says, (.....Fallin out of the clear Blue sky....)
i have been listening to this lady for 20 years and this is still one, if not the one , of greastest songs ever recorded......TRISHA i love you.....damn your great......
This song makes a lot of sense and it's inspirational and touching to me it is to others it my be different this is the best music video yet of hers I can say this Garth Brooks is very lucky to have her she is so amazing
It's so crazy cause every word to this song is my life rite now now and I try to be so strong but every day I get so weak in the knees and break....... amazing song
I saw this video back in 2000 when her video bio was on cmt. That was a really cool evening. I remember I was writing on the sidewalk with blue chalk that evening and the weather drastically changed. This video reminds me of that. One of the most meaningful times of my life.
I remember the first time I heard this song when it came out, wondering if she was going to hit that final 'right here by my siiiiide" in full voice instead of falsetto. It's like you can feel it coming and the suspense is unbearable. When she hit it, I thought, "Wow... just wow".
Been searching for this song for years. Only had the melody of the verses in my head. Finally I can rest...
Good song though.
Incredible song Incredible voice country music is so good at times with very gifted artists like this woman.
Nothing in Today’s Country Music can Touch this.

I love this song so much. When I was a little girl my mom would sing this to me to help me fall asleep at night and as I got older it became our song. :) absolutely amazing song

What a beautiful song! And about the beauty of Trisha Yearwood, blessed is the man who can wrap her in his arms, and be master of his body and soul.

A great video, Trisha Yearwood is incredible! If only there were more of her videos and CDs!§
I don't know who wrote this song but they did a great job. It sounds somewhat in the style of a Roy Orbison song, a high compliment................
Yes, they did. The song "There Goes My Baby" was written by Annie Roboff and Arnie Roman.
I never realized what a great singer *Trisha* is. I guess attending the *Garth Brooks World Tour* in *Denver* *March 21st was an eye opener. *Great Show*
It's nice to give the world a great song.

she's such a great singer - a clear and powerful voice!
Wow! She sure can sing. A flawless voice, she hits every note with extreme accuracy.
One of the best female Country singers
I love that chord during the chorus it's a A7/C# sounds ominous and sad the way she builds into that line that says, (.....Fallin out of the clear Blue sky....)
Yep. It's "ominous" because it's a C# diminished and diminished chords always have that ominous tone.
