Not seeing Petra in those kinds of videos is my biggest heartbreak 😭
I knoww 😭
2017 was so random, Serena fliping the spot with Angie despite not playing, than Pliskova and Mugz, crazy
Serena was so unfortunate with injuries. She was comfortably the number one player in 2003 and 2010. In both instances serious injuries caused her to lose the ranking. She could have spent so much weeks there
Indeed very unfortunate to see any players get injured. But to me, everything happens for a reason, if Serena hadn’t gotten injured or lost focused on tennis in those years, her body probably won’t allow her to play until 2022. I’m just glad we had witnessed some of her best tennis even the latter part of her career(from 2012 Wimbledon onwards for me)
Justine Henin disagrees
People slagging off Barty's weeks at number 1 seem to forget that she was CLEARLY the best on tour throughout her time ate the top of the rankings
I think there will always be a little asterisk next to Barty's streak. But I fully agree with you that she was clearly the best through that period when the tour was active.
Watching this reminds me of how much I miss Simona...
Those 114 weeks in a row from Barty 😭😭 they just don't sit right to me
COVID happened sure but you cant deny how good Ash was, her tennis was so clean and perfect. The tour really fell apart when she retired - sloppy tennis these days
i mean like 50 of those weeks she had them gifted cause of covid
@@mateojuric1202Barty gave the number 1 to Iga, facts, no opinions.
@@JorgeRothje never denied that
Barty was a flash in the pan. Hard for me to take her tennis career seriously when she didn’t.
Excited for Aryna to take the throne!! My favorite player!! Happy she got to the top spot, because I have a feeling Iga will be back better than ever next year and won’t let anyone touch her spot this time.
Swiatek time is up, the best version of her we have already seen. She is boring, there are better and more interesting contestants
@@TribalChief0001 She is still better than you and Scramlenka combined :D
@@TribalChief0001 I guess only time will tell. But I think Aryna, Coco, Iga, and Elena are definitely the main major contenders
@@danieljokinen2846 and Pegula, Muchova, Jabeur and Vondrousova as dark horses
@@alexburakov3109none of them are dark horses... they are all contenders maybe excluding Vondrusova - one slam wonder just like Rybakina.
Muchova is just on another level. She is cosmic.
Barty's early retirement at 25yo in her absolute prime was a tragedy for women's tennis. Her game was so beautiful to watch and she would have easily won many more grand slams if her heart was in it. It's perplexing when someone with so much talent loses the drive to use it while others with far less talent/skill soldier on for years.
With Sabalenka choking against Coco, I see Iga being year end number one
Rather not. Her form is poor and she plays predictable tennis. She will most likely not win any more tournaments this year. Her chance to be a leader will perhaps only appear at the AO
@@elplan77 Iga takes her chances, she will win something else more likely than not. Sabalenka is the unreliable one
@@elplan77 kinda amazing to say that when Sabalenka 1300 points ahead and once again failed to win a slam that was in her control. when has Iga ever failed to capitalize in a final and let nerves take over. when she losses she gets outplayed, Sabalenka hands over matches. there are still 2 masters 1000 left in the year and a handful of 500 events as well as wta finals
That sharapova azarenka screams 😢😢😢
The louder wins
we will have a new No.1 tmr:)
Hey, just in case you missed my comment that I made to a different video of you, here's my humble request again: Can you please make a compilation of how excessively and obnoxiously Swiatek is holding up her racket to signal to her opponent that she is not ready because of some stupid thing? Thank you and keep up the great work! :)
NEW QUEEN
:(
Thanks 👍
Simonaaaaa😢😢😢😢 miss u 😢
Brilliant video one or your best!!
no shade to barty cause she is an amazing tennis player.. but that frozen ranking during the pandemic really extended her streak and total number of weeks.. it just feels wrong to compare her to the rest because of this
You are right
that would have weight to if if she did nothing after but she came back from pandemic and wom wimbledon, masters 1000 and was year end number one
@@deusexmachina9776 but i was not talking about what she did after was I? If she were good enough she should have had to climb back to number one. Instead she had her ranking points protected for an entire year in which she almost did not play.
I did say she was an amazing tennis player so do not come with such argument to me. I know she is a deserving number one. Just not for 100+ unjustified weeks
@@AlphaDirWolf why you acting like she is the only one who had her ranking frozen? everyone had the same treatment. that is is BS - you are acting like COVID wasnt serious, as if the governments werent shutting down places and masses dying
Caro Wozniacki was really hot back then
Serena williams thats it. Thats the comment
Now we need a "most weeks at #2" video or something like that! ❤
Sharapova will definitely top that lol
Welcome new number one Aryna Sabalenka ❤️🦁
Lukashenko must be so proud
Just came to watch Serena's 235 week wall of success. Even in 2012 while ranked #3, it was known Serena was the real #1.
ik swiatek will come back to no1 watch it happen!
Definitely. She's still 21, she will probably become number 1 for a year or so more.
She is 22 not 21
@@JorgeRothje oh my bad but yeah my statement still stands 👌 lots of years ahead
simona:)
Kim Clijsters was n. 1 for one week in 2012.
"Clijsters was No. 1 in 2011, did you forget it?"
Yall have vision issue huh? Literally for a solid 57 secs it was written in the right side of the screen from 1:23 - 2:20
Let's stop being so reactive or chasing gotcha moment will ya......
Kim was #1 in February 2011 for one week!
I included it😭😭in the bottom right corner, since Clijsters didn’t play that week
Pliskova LOOOOOOOOOOL
Simona is needed ...
#JazdaIGA
Wozniacki Was number one from bejiin 2010 not wta final
Now Aryna Sabalenka world number 1
Osaka and Muguruza are the most random No.1 of 21st century
Osaka is a 4 time grand slam champion nothing random about her being a world number 1
It's random that a 4 time GS champion was a number 1? Huh? Pliskova is right there.
@@lupin8750 it's a great achievement, but have you seen her another titles? Maybe Naoni will prove her level after return, but i don't think she really deserved that rank
@@HAPPYDUCKize Pliskova had everything except of Slams, she was relatively consistent on all surfaces and played in 32 wta finals
@@alexburakov3109 You prolly don't wanna say Pliskova deserves No1 if you want others to think your opinion is valid lol
Did you just forget Kim's #1 in 2011 or?
If you clearly watch the video with that pair of eyes of yours, you'll see in the bottom right side of the screen that he put it -.-
I miss Serena deeply
You missed kim Clijsters, she held top spot for 1 week in 2011, during paris open she became no. 1 again.
I included it😭😭in the bottom right corner, since Clijsters didn’t play that week
@@Sabinelisickifansss Ok yeah saw it.
barty being number 1 while staying whole 2020 at home is the biggest scam ever
Whats with the weird channel name?
Hello, he is a big fan of her! That is why :D
@@jarnobekius9291 ok, makes sense, fansssssss?
Jesus HOW barty stayed 114 weeks at #1??????????
I’m first
Anything you do, Iga can do better than you ;)
Wozniacki 🤣🤣🤣🤣 most pathetic #1 ever
Pliskova?
@@mistybabe5489 @MasterMatt25 Pliskova and Safina problems were mental. they at least had weapons
Bye bye Iga
No one will miss her 😄
@@elplan77 don't speak for others
she will be back sooner than later
@@yola270 iga must go to psychiatrist first for her mental health if she want to be no 1again
@@rivaimana7307 I think you are the one who needs a psychiatrist
Iga Swiatek was one of the most boring number 1s in recent years. Boring style of play, boring person 👋🏽
What are you talking about? She's one of the most entertaining female tennis players right now
@@alexburakov3109just ignore that toxic person
yeah level of tennis is low as well, Coco won a slam hitting just 11 winners and Sabalenka 40+ UE - quality of tennis in WTA is bad
@@deusexmachina9776 she played incredibly well in defence and forced her to make mistakes. That was her tactics
@@alexburakov3109 there is a difference between FORCED and UNFORCED errors. jeez. Sabalenka defeated herself
Pliskova, Muguruza and Swiatek are the weakest #1s.
Serena, Azarenka, Barty the strongest.
With Iga's 37 match win streak i beg to differ.
the fact you are comparing Iga to Pliskova and Garbiñe clearly shows you know nothing about tennis. Then Ivanovic is superior then 🙄
