      Yes it is boring, no cap,
      But the ladies are finding their rhythm and I hope soon we gonna see some consistency on some of them, I swear they have to work on their emotions and how to handle pressure .

      @@ishjain49 I swear I want that too, but with all she has done to this point no o e will ever come close to her records, she is just so great you find it hard to not love her, what she does with her racket is so inspiring, I wish these new girls find it fast how to have that winning spirit.
      But I know as a fan and I think even Serena knows this that she needs another GS tittle or two b4 everything is over, but I won't be mad if she ends up with 23, I've made piece with it already, so anything from her now is like a bonus to already a great resume.

      @@ezrakiiza8024 I completely agree with you... She has nothing left to prove. She is the Greatest Of All Time. I am happy if she wins another GS and will still be happy if she does not... I just want to see her in good health and keep playing. She makes tennis elegant, exciting, and graceful.

      To think that some people were saying it was boring in 2002 -2003 when Venus and Serena played four straight grand slam finals with Serena winning all four. Venus did win a couple of sets though,. Altogether, V&S played in NINE grand slam finals. Serena leads 7-2.

      @@elloguvna6820 2004-22 was less boring since Serena won only 17 slams in those 19 years.
      And Venus only 3.
      All the other players won a combined 55 slams in that period. Order had been restored, Europeans dominated again.

    The amazing thing about this is she did it on all the surfaces. Some of these matches were semi finals of grand slams. And she did this in the modern era where there's incredible depth and also other modern tools to analyse a player's pattern of play. Serena is something else.

      Yep. My grandma always had tennis on. I was like 6 years old seeing her. Memories are a bit faint but i soon fell in love with tennis and watched her win 2008 US open.

      Federer played one of the greatest Wimbledon finals ever (lost to Djokovic) a few days before his 38th birthday.
      Serena was mauled by some Canadian journeywoman 8 weeks later at the USO 19, also a few days before turning 38.

To love Federer, but to hate Serena is something that does not make sense. Even Fed said that Serena was the greatest of all time. No need to undermine her achievements, my guy.

      BTW, there is no medical evidence that being pregnant in the 2nd month (like Serena) impacts athletic capabilities in any way.

      Correct. It was at the 2000 Wimbledon 2nd or 3rd round. It wasn't telecasted though. I remembered them talking that Sampras or somebody was supposed to follow Serena and thought he had time to go to the bathroom, and when he came out, they needed to rush him to the court. (There may even be more hyperbole the way I just told it.)

      I think it was the Lisa Raymond Wimbledon 2000 quarter final which was 40 minutes. Lisa was the #1 doubles player at the time, but Venus and Serena were picked for the Olympic team. Lisa was butt hurt about it, but the Olympic said that V&S were the best chance for a win. Venus won the singles Gold and V&S won the doubles Gold in Australia..

      @@swinde actually I think it was the second round. She won that 6-1, 6-0 and I remember an article mentioning an 11-minute set. Also in regards to Raymond, I didn’t realize delegations only sent one team compared to now.

      Another issue at the time was that Lisa Raymond's partner was not from the US. Venus and Serena's ranking in doubles was low because they rarely played except in slams. Bur they were clearly the best doubles team from the US at the time. They wound up with 12 Grand Slam doubles championships and three Olympic doubles gold medals.

    I am surprised Serena vs. Halep , Cincinnati 2013 isn’t here. I know the second set was closer, but I believe the commentator said the first set was like 16 minutes or something - potentially a WTA record, tourney record or personal record for Serena.

    It sure is,very boring,but probably not for long,being an natural athlete she can conditioned to shape in less time than those quit because of substance abuse. I believe that if she wanted to she can be in shape in less than a year.,even in her 40s an attitude like her’s,never say never don’t just disappear I believe.Hope she does,fingers cross.haha.cheers,anyone?
