New Royal marines Trailer just dropped and its absolute fire of course!
Back in the late 70s i wanted to join this specific outfit. Id spent years running up hills with a rucksack of rocks, training.
When i looked at joining though the money was shite. That was the same all through the forces. Now as an old man who never saw action im glad i didnt join, but was able to live a peaceful life thanks to those that did. These guys are awesome.

The Corps is so Gucci now! And I thought we had it good getting the odd bit of CQB training with MP5s or jollies to the US.

there are so many fundamental errors in positioning here that i really worry about the lack of recent battle experience in the uk army when it comes to being in action against REAL trained and EXTREMELY battle experienced urban warfare troops like the Chechens etc
also you show a woman in the clip but I'm pretty sure no women have actually fully passed the Royal Marines full training
Why on Earth would we fight the Chechens or even Russia for that matter? That would be utterly stupid. You are right though. The Falklands was the last time British troops engaged a real near peer Army. Do people think Ukrainians are flying around in helicopters kicking Ivan's door in? Casualties getting into surgery 30 mins from the battlefield? Have air superiority?. Many injured are just abandoned or it take several days to get off the front. Imagine lying helpless on a stretcher not knowing if a shell or loiter munitions are going to end your life at anytime. We need peace
I'm fairly certain the Commandos aren't trained to slowly ride into battle whilst stood up on their skidoos.

why does an elite fighting force need to be diverse? If you pass the tests, you pass the tests- regardless of race or gender. You choose the best person for the job.
