I got a cutting of a Hoya Wilbur Graves and now I can’t control it on the trellis! They grow like weeds! You’ll be able to prop in no time! And they aren’t finicky at all! One of my fav Hoyas!
Those polyneuras are to die for!! I really want to order some too. But I’m going to ecuagenera in Denver today so I need a plant ban soon too 🤪

Beautiful plants. I love buying from Lex too. Her plants are beautiful and I don’t have to change the pots or substrate, love watching her unboxing and shipping videos too. It’s interesting seeing the plant you purchased being packed for shipping 😅😅
My begonias dotsy loves my cabinet! I’d definitely keep it in higher humidity. Now I need on of those begonias

The reason the Hoya leaf is darker is that it was in low light. High light will make it lighter. That LeafyFiona shop is selling their Hoyas for an insane amount of money compared to other amazing Etsy shops.
Price shaming isn’t nice 🙏🏼 now that I sell plants it can be challenging to put a price tag on them because you spend countless hours growing them, making sure they’re healthy and pest free and that they’re packaged well to arrive safely. Costs of materials can add up as well as shipping costs. I’m willing to pay/shop at places that have healthy, well packaged plants so I don’t waste money/time potentially rehabbing and losing them to save a little upfront :)
@@plantsbymelissa I only did because almost all her plants are 2/3 more than everyone else. Ripping people off is even worse.

The Wilbur graves will grow like a weed. I got a small two leaf cutting back in Jan. She was already long enough for me to prop. I recently took cuttings and they rooted really well and easily. I’m looking to make a nice full pot. Don’t be surprised if it grows faster than you may expect! 💚

Thank you! I tried press on's but every time I take them off they seem to damage my real nails. A couple people mentioned these gel stickers from polish pops when I was talking about it on my insta. I purchased some and this was my first time with them and I actually really like them! I haven't tried soaking them off yet but it's been about 10 days on now and not much chipping. Yes, there are different versions (supposedly) of the Wilbur Graves, the China version is on my wish list, but I don't remember what the other versions are called. I think there's a Russian version too with shorter/rounder leaves?

I've ordered some nice hoyas from Leafy Fiona too. A bit pricy but always nice specimens.
I moved my inner varigated Polynuera 2 leaf cutting to a diy pon right away without issue about two months ago. Makes me wonder if they're was an issue with the cutting before you got it. But get ready to prop that Broget, it grows so fast!! Faster than the other varigated Polynueras. I still need the regular green one.
haha I've been buying too many lately 🙊🫶 Her shop is so nice! I've been back on her Etsy a few times now looking around. I'm tempted to get 1-2 more hoyas from her lol. I'm not sure what happened with the polyneura. All 4 leaves got crispy and they fell off 😭

I just placed an order for more plants too 😂 a hoya bundle with varieties I don't have yet, and a large Thai Con (the ones I have are smaller), and a couple of cheap begonia starter plugs 😅 I somehow killed the rex begonia I got in April 😢 so I got different types that are cane begonias instead since I haven't killed the other small one I have yet 😂

Hoya Polyneura Var is a very finicky hoya in my experience! I got a cutting and I chopped it up immediately just in case the base of the plant dies lol. I have them rooting in water and it’s doing well!
oh good to know. Now I'm wondering if I should take a cutting of the new one just in case lol.

I just got a mint. Transplanted to leca from soil. I cried so hard if she died again. (I’ve purchased a baby mint last year and I had no clue what I was doing then and it rotted. 😅

Melissa, love your videos. Many plant videos show repotting mature plants and very few show new plant cuttings and care and progress. For example do I actually go up one inch pot how long til the next pot. I have some new buys and not sure of my next steps. Can you cover this?
Hey there! Thank you! I pretty much film everything I do with my plants when I can. I usually group repottings in a plant chores day or separate repotting videos. I have lots of older videos too with repottings and upsizes.
I love using rice hulls, tree fern fiber, vermiculite and a few other additives for my most special plants. Your Ginny (pronounced Jenny) is beautiful. I haven’t pulled the trigger and purchased one yet but now I think I might!
