The big Case hunters are built like a tank. Them older stag KABAR hunters made by Queen are too! The old Schrade old timer hunters are great as well. Thanks for watching & sharing
Thanks Patriot, one of my favourite patterns as well. Would like to get hold of some of the Schrade FHs. I prefer the non locking in this pattern, seems more traditional and just nice to use and easily cleaned. Never had a problem with the big slip joint closing on me. I have a couple of the Case Buffalo and Bulldog in the hard wood plus a Stag, also the Western and a Robeson. Carrying a Case hardwood 2022 model today still an incredible belt knife and have several of the newer Case FHs, all nice knives. Thanks for showing the old folding hunter pattern some love, it doesn't get much attention nowadays.
@@CuttingEdgetools Yes, I think it's less appreciated today that the big swell centre jack or coke bottle hunter and then the folding hunter which supplanted it were the evolution of more than a hundred years or large working folder development. Big working knives that were used every day till they wore out. When you use them for a while you realise flashy modern aren't always the bees knees. Yes modern steels are impressive and clever marketing wins us over. But how do you beat a nice sabre ground clip and flat ground skinner all in a very ergonomic design? That looks great too!
Great video... I think the Winchester 1920 coke bottle is my all time favorite folding hunter. Cattaraugus king of the woods close second. Got to love a big oll folding hunter.
Dam nice...gonna have to get me one...that's one type my collection missing..the folding multi blade large hunter...use my case large stockman on a few deer but I always liked those schrade walden.
Thanks for watching. Nothing like Traditional Leather- But I didn’t make these sheaths for looks. Cost $5 to make-They were Crafted for Heavy Bushcraft Use. Heavy Strap makes great Axe Sheaths also
