i love the fact rob is as excited about the fiesta as he was about his lambo!!! its a tidy car , all the big stuff done and you have all the fun easy jobs to make it how you want it ! ENJOY!!
Ah Rob, you made me cry. When I left the UK for Australia in 1999, I left behind my red XR2i. Miss it so much. I'm wrapped for you. And yer, absolutely would I have jumped to buy that RS in a heartbeat.
Lovely to see a really nice example of a little RS fez and even more lovely to see a massive smile on Rob’s face.. hope you enjoy the motor over summer keep us all updated on the progress ❤
I love that. Its not something that interests chris. But hes made up for rob and genuinely cares that his pal is happy and wanted to go out in the motor with his pal. Proper gent
Very nice motor Rob, owned an H plate in 94-95, favourite car I've ever owned. Lose the bling, wrong rear wiper and get a grey rimmed steering wheel and she'd be perfect.
'M Sport' .. Malcolm Wilson's wife took my 2 x very shy daughters behind the scenes at 'Rally Day' Castle Combe when she spotting them looking at the then 'WRC Focus' at the time .. I'll always remember what at super thing she did .. Hats Off to 'M Sport '
Drove a few of these back when I was in the trade in the early 90s. They went like stink and that turbo CVH exhaust burble was so distinctive. Lovely car, Rob. So nice to see one in such a lovely condition. Ditch those gauges, new set of hoses and it will be a stunner.
Rob, love to see your excitement on buying your new Fiesta….so excited. I have a question… do these classic fords excite you more than your previous Lamborghini? It’s a beautiful car and I can see why you love it.
I wondered what that bright light in the sky was over Kent way a few days ago. Now I know. It was Rob’s ear to ear grin. Not my thing but definitely a beautiful motor and well deserved for all your hard work.
Being a colonial, I prefer big old muscle cars. For my 60th last year, I treated myself to a 1993 Ruby Red Corvette with 19,300 original miles. May your new purchase give you as much fun and pleasure as mine has given me ❤
I had a Ford Fiesta XR2 H registered in white bought from a car auction. Bought it for £3000, kept it for 18 months and sold it for £4000. It was mint. Wished I had have kept it. Would have been worth a fortune. Used to clean the underneath around the spare wheel with a toothbrush.
I purchased a Fiesta RS Turbo brand new back in the day from the main dealer, Ford Ruislip branch. Collected it 1st of August 1991, J46***. I opted for one in red, I was very disappointed with its overall performance. Sadly, around 9 months into ownership, it ended up getting stolen from right outside my house, and it was never recovered. I then got myself a peugeot 205GTI 1.9 in silver.
That’s Geoff Kershaw’s (owner of Turbo Technics) old hill climb car. It was a very successful car holding many records and used to run a twin turbo Cosworth V6.
The white of the car matches the white of his teeth, now we know why Rob likes white cars (and sneakers) so much ;-) Seriously though, love you guys, we can only wish everyone is as honest and friendly as you guys are!
As a 40 year old petrol head, and ford fan, I'm both massively jealous and pleased for you. I remember buying these for a couple of grand 15 years ago. Enjoy it, but if you buy an escos next, I'm unsubscribing 😂
That car is Geoff kershaw 4x4 sierra . He was in my dad’s class when we did sprints and hillclimbs. Very very fast car indeed it was. For that brings back some early to mid 90s memories
@@Legotruck82 Possibly. But the Group A rallycross RS500s from back then had the rads mounted up front to comply with Group A regs. A race-ready Group A RS500 with provenance would be the other side of £250K and restoration candidates are unlikely be below £100K
@davyboy888 looks like it was a time attack car around 2016. Googling the name on the side with sierra brings up some results. No idea what it was before then
Great video as always. Nice Fiesta too. I have got an old mk4 golf gt tdi I have got to get restored not everyone's cup of tea but I have owned it for 10 year. Still going on 205,000. Keep the videos coming always a good watch
From someone who grew up with his dad rebuilding mk1 cortina’s and early escorts I totally get your enthusiasm, enjoy every moment you have in the car.😀
Good morning Rob and Chris, lovely car Rob well done. It will be a great series of videos as you change the bits you want to. I had a XR2 in Red, with Pepper pot wheels, index F22 KVM, I really loved it but in the 1990’s the insurance went through the roof. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
I'm with chris but can appreciate how lovely that is all the same, like a time capsule and your smile was priceless, nice to see hard working people get to enjoy the outcome of their hardwork, really pleased for you!
Nice to see Rob sooooooo Happy. Great looking Fiesta, looks better than when it left the factory. Get rid of the dump valve, paint the strut brace white and don't worry about the hoses.
Rob back in his 90's groove! Personally, I prefer the MK2 and couldn't bring myself to buy the what I thought was the ugly replacement when it came out; but as a 21st century toy I share Robs enthusiasm
Congratulations Rob Why don't you take it to Retro Rides at Goodwood next weekend ,either Saturday or Sunday. It's for cars pre 2000. The weather will be good and it's a great event. It's a nice drive down too,if you take the A roads.
Dream car material, what a stunning little car, totally agree on the taking away of the mods. Enjoy those b roads and any other roads for that matter 👍🏻 great work as always.
Well pleased for you Rob, I would have bought it if i was in the position to, always loved that era of Ford's and the older ones, I would also put the stuff back to factory myself.
Like a kid in a sweet shop, the grin never left, Rob! I was never a fast Ford fan but that looks fantastic. So pleased for you, enjoy the summer when it comes! 😊👍🏼
The Fiesta Turbo was my dream car back in the day , had the sales brochure and used to go and look at it in the showroom in Brighton “Endeavors” it was called😍
I use to buy Max Power mag every month.Rob laughing and Chris saying ‘That would drive me insane’ when the dump valve went off.lol.You’ve got to have a dump valve in these late 80’s,90’s cars Chris.Great car already restored.I agree the roof and the dials need to go back to original.Great Video and Thanks to Taz for showing us around.
Think I need to speak to Taz I'm looking for a Fiesta myself and would have jumped at that, Rob Not many left and the ones that are left that aren't projects do not come up for sale that often If you paid under 10 for it, you've bought well and I'm very jealous
Personally, not my cup of tea, but Rob, I'm so pleased that you are achieving your dream from your hard work, I appreciate cars of any make and model at that standard, and look forward to seeing you making it concourse or at least to your ideal.
Arches and skirts looked blended into the body which is a bit weird, the ride height would look better standard or possibly wheel spacers added? Looks like fun though, best of luck with the new purchase :) Not my thing but its good we all have different tastes.
I’m around the same age as Rob so similar taste in 90s hot hatches. I love the smile on Robs face, no less than picking up the Lamborghini! Good on you guys
My first car was a Green Mk 1 Fiesta, so great to see you are happy with your purchase with one of the later ones. The older cars seem much more spacious than the modern cars and probably only weigh about 2/3 as much. Enjoy over the summer Rob !
Lovely bit of kit Rob, looks like you was in the right place at the right time and the seller Dave sounds like an absolute diamond, so massive congratulations on this and look forward to some videos in the future
‘Ark at him grinning like a Cheshire Cat as he’s telling us how much his insurance cost for the year 😂😂😂 Like a kid in a sweet shop!! Well done rob, it looks stunning
Really enjoyed the voice over Rob. Production just keeps getting better and better on this channel. Salvage Rebuilds always there to cheer me up!
Great buy rob😂

Anything that makes you smile is good, i dont want it, but im chuffed for you Rob...Follow your heart in life...
Well said, "Follow your Heart in Life". Worth a tattoo that is.
I'm old enough to remember the Andy Rouse/Robb Gravett days. Those Sierras dominated the Touring in the late 80s. Love it.
Now that takes me back , nothing more I love is seeing people happy reliving past years !
One lucky man Rob 👍
Rob's like a kid on Christmas morning. 😀
Lovely to see a really nice example of a little RS fez and even more lovely to see a massive smile on Rob’s face.. hope you enjoy the motor over summer keep us all updated on the progress ❤

Love it that you restored a Ferrari, bought a Lamborghini, but happiest with a classic Ford.
I was thinking exactly the same thing, he's more pleased with his old ford's, as would I be too. ❤
Delighted for you, Rob. You deserve a nice little treat! Enjoy. 😀
Being a colonial, I prefer big old muscle cars. For my 60th last year, I treated myself to a 1993 Ruby Red Corvette with 19,300 original miles. May your new purchase give you as much fun and pleasure as mine has given me ❤
Guys, I love your excitement and enthusiasm you never seem to be in a bad mood, keep it up.
Does anybody know if Rob liked it or not? It’s not clear in the video 😂😂
Rob was like a kid in a sweet shop, Great to see your love of classic fords and am sure your be ODC about getting just how you want
Cracking video this boys. That Fezzer RS you got ..... Green with Envy. Love it.
Rob, the grin on your face when the Fiesta arrived said it all !!! Enjoy mate.
Proper Essex boy in his turbo mota :) nice one Rob! looks a minter!
All you need now Rob is the fluffy dice
Lovely motor!! Great to see someone saving the old fast fords and bringing them back to how Ford intended them to be!! Congrats Rob :)
One key does every lock on it. Yep. One key does every Ford barrel lock from 1983 to 1998...whether they're the same barrel number or not...! ;)
Love the smile on your face Rob, really pleased for you!! 😊😊
Anyone else think Rob looked happier then when he picked up his Lambo?

Lovely to see Chris so happy! Well deserved!
That engine bay is perfection I’d 100% leave it
That Sierra was a special bit of kit! V6, 24v, twin turbo and 4x4! Rapid car with Geoff at the wheel👍
You cant beat seeing a grown man looking like kid with a new toy.....Wish i still had my Cortina Mk2 1500E..aaahhh memories.😁😁
Awesome mate, loving the sound of the dump valve and the massive grin on your face, just love the banter between you and Chris
The white of the car matches the white of his teeth, now we know why Rob likes white cars (and sneakers) so much ;-)
Seriously though, love you guys, we can only wish everyone is as honest and friendly as you guys are!
Great purchase Rob. Any car, whatever someones preferences, if it can make you smile and excited then that’s all that matters! Great to watch 👍🏻
Kid in a candy shop Rob. nice bit of kit.
As a 40 year old petrol head, and ford fan, I'm both massively jealous and pleased for you. I remember buying these for a couple of grand 15 years ago. Enjoy it, but if you buy an escos next, I'm unsubscribing 😂
I wonder if Paul at Linfoot Racing would be interested in the Sierra.
I doubt it's anything special compared to what Paul's used to dealing with, it probably just a standard shell not even a cosworth let alone a rs500.
I was thinking the same ! 😊
Smiling more than when he bought the Lamborghini
Was going to post exactly the same thing!🤣
Like the fiesta, love the fact you take us out to see these cool places now and again !
I think you were smiling more than when you bought the Lamborghini
Turbo Technics is still in business in Northampton. I go in there regularly as a contractor, looking after some of their machines.
As excited about an Old fiesta as he was a Lamborghini😂
That car is Geoff kershaw 4x4 sierra . He was in my dad’s class when we did sprints and hillclimbs. Very very fast car indeed it was. For that brings back some early to mid 90s memories
You're doing yourself out of views with that title and thumb nail... The star is the fiesta not that old sierra!
totally agree, nearly didnt watch this!
I was thinking this! They do need to upgrade the thumbnails!
Exactly .... I almost skip his channel bcoz of the Sierra 😅
how much?
Had a few XR2s back in the day, Congratulations Rob.
The Sierra is not an ex-BTCC car. It was never raced in the British Touring Car Championship.
I was thinking it was perhaps a Rallycross car with the rear mount radiator?

I'm envious af.
I fall into the same camp as Chris, not my thing but I can see it is a great car and great to see how happy it makes you.
Hate the wheels otherwise very nice
From someone who grew up with his dad rebuilding mk1 cortina’s and early escorts I totally get your enthusiasm, enjoy every moment you have in the car.😀
looks terrible that low. please get it back to standard
Great little car. Used to see these all the time parked outside the raves back in the day.
Isn't that a bit too "girly" for you? Every small car is according to you. 🙄
Good morning Rob and Chris, lovely car Rob well done. It will be a great series of videos as you change the bits you want to. The wheels are awful also !!
Completely standard
I'm with chris but can appreciate how lovely that is all the same, like a time capsule and your smile was priceless, nice to see hard working people get to enjoy the outcome of their hardwork, really pleased for you!
What a absolute gem always wanted a fiesta turbo the size of the smile on robs face says it all ❤
Nice to see Rob sooooooo Happy. Great looking Fiesta, looks better than when it left the factory. Get rid of the dump valve, paint the strut brace white and don't worry about the hoses.
Takes me back to the days when Chaves racing these Hot Hatches around the streets before speed calming measures hitting the roads.
Like watching a kid on Christmas morning getting a new 10 speed bike!! love this video. Great car. you'll have so many smiles per miles!!
Great video. Always good to see the old ford RS cars . Especially people from our era.
Very nice, tidy motor, sounds great too. Nice to see Rob grinning like a Cheshire cat.
Genuinely very happy for you Rob! This has been a long time coming. Kid in a candy shop springs to mind.
Lovely Jubbly! A boosted CVH is the way to go!
Lovely clean little motor, congratulations Rob! Great to see you so enthusiastic and excited over a project mate. All the best!
Good on you Rob. The Cheshire Cat couldn’t keep up with your smile. Enjoy!
