I am a 43 yrs old Korean guy living in S.Korea. As I listened to this episode of podcast with Jason, I realized how thankful I am and my family thanks to the sacrifice the American solders made sacrificing their lives. I go to memorial day ceremony time to time and I realize how many young lives were taken away who would have been grandfathers by now. Without them I wonder how my life and my kids lives would have changed , we could be in North Korea's dictatorship regime. Thanks Jason for your sacrifice for your country and others. I and my family thank you and your family. We are forever indebted to you and Americans

Jocko has endured a lot of pain I can't fathom. I don't know how he keeps it together, but each time I see him maintain composure, it makes me realize how important it is to have emotional control. Especially during the Ryan part. I can't believe they killed him by, from what it sounds like, too much anesthesia.

Great interview. I have heard Jason’s story from another podcast, but Jocko does a great job reading from the exact right points in Jason’s book.

I've read Jason's book 3 times. You hate to have to fall so far to be shaken awake, but I'm glad he figured it out, and then to survive the injuries is another struggle altogether
