My dad was a lieutenant in Vietnam. He was only interested in getting his troops home safely. They were Texas boys. He actually got them home safely and they showed up to his funeral in 2005. The funniest story was everyone in the squad having to use Campho phenique -a menthol salve-on their balls to combat jock itch from wading into brackish water. Eventually he came to laugh about it. Jocko is a great example of CONTROLLED ego. Lex keeps coming at him with philosophical open ended questions and Jocko responds like a hammer driving large nails in two taps. Both guys just think on a completely different level and that was why Lex hardly at all followed up on Jocko's answers. It was weird....I was waiting for responses.
