There has definitely been a ton of growth here in 20 years! The City of Clovis has park and walking trail requirements for new developments, so we should see more of them as new communities become available.
I guess I'm more concerned with quiet and calm atmospheres, homeless and crime issues. I live in LA and i need an immense contrast wo leaving California. Its crazy out here. Great video.

The difference between the people in Fresno and Clovis is that the people of Fresno know and admit that Fresno is a completely terrible place to live AKA "a complete dump". As a person that currently lives in Clovis, CA due to my career (I know I won't stay here for more than 5 years) and have gotten to know the rich, powerful, criminal, and poorest of the poor in Central Valley California. The people of Clovis think of themselves as better than everyone, superior (yep, the whites of Clovis play a huge part of conveying that attitude), and believe there are no problems in Clovis. However, I put it on my life that there are major major problems in Clovis and the city is highly OVERRATED and pretends no problems exist and won't hesitate to lie about it. The Clovis school system hides the problems (and does a good job doing it) students face. I would never raise a family and live in Clovis if I didn't have to (I'm only here for my career and will leave when time is right). The worst city I have ever lived in has been Clovis because of the disgusting attitude of thinking everyone is beneath them (again, whites of Clovis perpetuate this belief and attitude). Do not live in Clovis and certainly don't visit it (especially if you're non white) if you don't have to. Anyone thinking this video believes it portrays Clovis accurately must truly be a fool. No city in Central Valley California is a good place to live and raise a family.
The Central Valley is huge and includes other areas like Sacramento, Redding and Bakersfield along with Fresno - Clovis is at the eastern edge of the San Joaquin valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills it reminds me a lot of Folsom in the Sacramento area minus the lake.
@@DanielHerrera-rl1vw you're right. Central Valley California is huge. As for the other areas you mentioned. Bakersfield...forget it! Worst polluted air in the valley and probably one of worst in nation. Sacramento...nicer than Fresno, but crime, homeless, and many other things have made it lost luster than prior years. Redding...most people would not go there either for many reasons. Again, Central Valley California is a pretty bad place and I honestly don't see it getting better considering current political majority that are in power and where they stand on issues.

@@jdos5643 I think a lot of people who live in Fresno and the San Joaquin Valley in general don't appreciate what they have. If you look into the history of the city and how it's changed over time and really get to know the reason why people moved to the area in the first place and what makes it special I think you start to look at the area in a different way.
I stayed in Clovis back in 96. Clovis CA is amazing.

Clovis and Fresno have been built up in my 20 years here. Just thinking we need more parks for all these new people.

Yeah Fresno needs a six flags theme park. It’s way too big of city not to have one.
