I was not expecting another Alfa but damn they look GREAT 🔥🔥🔥
Especially on a flatbed.
@@olikat8 reliable more than germans
100% percent expected another Alfa, its such a good car.
Congratulations on staying with the Quadrifoglio. I totally get it. It really is a car that becomes part of you and the emotion it immerses you in.
the car is simply too good
@@autofanaticcars BTW I would go for cf lower door panels. 👍🏼
lets see what the cost will be I might see how many guys want them and do a preorder the investment to make 4 molds and tooling wont be cheap but I have the means to do it all start to finish.
My heart sank at this title and then I got cheered up seeing the red 2021 rolling out of the delivery vehicle, damn man what a roller coaster, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the newer version
So do I
Incredible spec!!!This is the right Alfa Romeo color!!!congrats!!!
The carbon fiber door panel sounds dope definitely would get it if it’s ever made
Definitely will look great...I love it when US manufacturers used to put carpet on the bottom part of the door !!
No scuffs from shoes !! 1978 Olds Ninety Eight Regency !!! With the tufted blue velour !! Oh well...I'm getting old....
The channel should be renamed ALFA FANATIC right now! Glad you got another one bro enjoy it :) so much character
These are in very short supply! None in the Philly area whatsoever! I actually flew out and drove back the one that I bought! I got a 2021 in Competizione red, exposed carbon fiber roof, carbon fiber exterior trim, black interior dash, green & white stitching, black calipers, tecnico wheels, but sadly, no carbon fiber seats. I figure I can switch the seats out anyway. Apparently, you can get a dealer to get the seats and swap them out.
When I was at the dealer, they had my car in the Competizione red next the the Rosso red, and man, what a difference! The rosso is a little brighter, but flatter. The Competizione is darker, has the metal flakes in it, and is far more deeper and shinier.
Best car I've ever driven! Good luck on the 2021!
there were two cars in the entire USA in this color with Sparco seats my car and the one with exposed roof for 10k more. If the other car had the red calipers and interior trim I might have pulled the trigger on it but glad i didn't have to. Enjoy your QV as well and stay tuned for more content
Good you got a new one Phil. 🍀 Nothing better than this.
I love the Alfa Rosso QV!!!
Congrats on your new car! Glad to see you stuck with the Giulia :)
Congrats on your new Alfa. The first thing that comes to mind is how you plan to prevent history from repeating itself? Is there anything that Alfa has done in Past two years that has improved the water leak design flaw and location of the very critical electrons box? Congrats again and I look forward to many more great videos. Let us know how the final chapter plays out with the black QV. Enjoy the Rosso.
Amazing. I'm lucky my QV seems to have been very reliable. Well done on your new QV.
Congrats with the new Rosso! I have the same Rosso now for a bit over 2 years with zero problems while its tuned by Europe’s best QV tuner: 580 HP /690nm. Runs like hell as my daily driver with over 42k km now. Flawless 🤘🍀
Hi who tuned your QV ,im in the UK,Thinking about getting mine done.thanks.
You're a true alfisti, sir!! Congratulations on a new one! So glad to see your loyalty to the brand. Looking forward to watch more diy videos with this beast.
Dude, "Alfisti" is plural and "Alfista" is singular.
alfa forever
Congrats on the new QV. I love my verde Visconti Giulia Ti Sport.
When your pride and joy is in the hands of a dealership, scary times.
In uk a good specialist in alfa is the only way to happy motoring.
Congratulations ❤️ Absolutely remarkable car!
I was in Italy for 2 years back in the 80's, and I absolutely loved those Alfa's. I ended up with a Fiat Brava(new) for 5 grand and drove all over the place in it. I've eyed this car since Alfa come back to the US, maybe just maybe!
Hey mate. I have been watching your videos for a few years now.
I bought a used 17 model for my 50th last year (June). They are AUD $150k new on the road here in Sydney (Australia). It’s my 4th Alfa in a row. They just get under your skin in a way that no other brand does. Like you, I have had all sorts of Marques while owning my Alfa’s, but no one does fun for a hard core motoring enthusiast in quite the same way; verve, engineering, style, driving dynamics, charisma, performance. Congrats on the update.
Mine is competezione red, with the same red leather across the door and dash. Sadly no carbon fiber sparco seats.
If you ever come to Sydney, I would so love to be your host and show you around the Australian Motorsport scene. Beautiful roads that lead to vineyards that are a joy in a QV!
Ps - I’d be interested in the carbon fiber door trims.
Congrats. I'm on my second QV as well. I had a 17 Missano with yellow calipers. Had zero issues. Traded it for a Jaguar F-Type R. HUGE MISTAKE. Got back into the QV. Picked up an 18 with Tri-Coat. Zero desire for any other car in its class. Red is the best ALFA color.
awesome thanks for sharing the Jaguar R is a nice car but just very impractical for daily use with its size i was considering one back in 2017 with a manual gearbox but my long arms i kept punching the dash on the Jaguar when going into 3rd gear so I ended up with my red Shelby GT350 instead which was a better and more rewarding choice that led to me creating this channel and brand.
@@autofanaticcarsI couldn't agree more. Keep up the good work!
I love my Stelvio QV in the Rosso Competizione Tri-Coat. Pictures don't do it justice. Great choice in color.
how has the reliability been? i am intrigued by the alpha at its price point..but am scared of itallian cars poor reputation for reliability
Absolutely stunning! The contrast between red and black is perfect
Are the seats comfortable?
best sport seats i ever owned in my life and I had every Recarro seat since the 1990s
Thanks for the update. I enjoy your content, especially about the Alfa romeo giulia quadrifoglio. I'm glad I've waited from buying the early gens . Now I can order a 2021 in Confidence. Once I get it, I be looking forward being a customer on your products. 👍 Carbon Fiber bottom door panel will look great on all four doors.
Thanks for watching and go for it life it so short to driving boring cars do it!!!
I wonder how the reliability is on the 2020 Alfa’s. I wanted a 21’, but couldn’t resist the big discount.
Congrats on your new 2021 Giulia QV! I'm still happy with my 2018 and will keep it for a long while. :-)
Personally I prefer the regular seats instead of the sparco ones
100% emotion and passion behind buying such a car, I know exactly what you mean. One thing to remember, don’t drive it in the rain! Lots of nice features that the new ones have over the older ones, would you have bought a ‘21 model if your ‘18 model didn’t crap out on you?
im not worried on this one i think leaving the 18 out this past winter ruined it because it was fine prior for years. If i wasn't working on the ferrari all winter it would have been kept inside but sometimes things happen for a reason and now i have a new one to play with.
@@autofanaticcars So having it out in the rain ruined it? Please don't tell me that! My 21' Stelvio is outside all the time!
My brother has a mint 2017 and there is nothing wrong with it. Solid, tight, nothing flimsy. Best thing out there in that category and that includes BMW and Mercedes.
New you wouldn't let us Alfisti down. I have a Rosso Giulia too and it is TREMENDOUS. Enjoy!
sweet keep enjoying it
Absolutely beautiful 👍… best part though, Jerry saying it’s really a cheese casserole 😂
😁
I would be interested in the Alcantara door panel pieces.
+1 here for alcantara panels. My QV is arriving next week... Alfa Rosso, black stitching, dark alfa style wheels, carbon seats and carbon roof and.... ext. 5 year warranty :-)
Can't wait
+1 for alcantara for me too!
Congrats Phil! They are damn hard to find, but the 2021s are finally hitting the dealerships. Looking forward to your new content.
thanks Steve
I was really praying not to be another AMG, M, RS, car ... and boy, you did not disappoint us ! :) FORZA ALFA !
no way the AMG GTR was tempting but overpriced
The Rosso Quadrifoglio is just mesmerizing. Sometimes I just look outside of my office, where I park mine and it can take my mind momentarily off the stress of work! Good Therapy for me.. Nice pick!!
sounds similar to what I do at the office ha ha ha enjoy it
If you're keeping the car, I think getting the new MY was the way to go. Having the addition of the port injection on the engine is a big deal for longer term reliability.
What's MY ???
@@dnegel9546 model year
I own the 2017 red alfa Romeo guilia quadrifoglio with carbon ceramic brake. Love the car so much. However, third time Service Electric Throttle Control issue. It stopped on highway from 110km/h to 30km/h which is really horrible and scary experience. It happened two days ago. Since the Warranty is ending soon, I am thinking about selling the qv. It is a painful decision. I really don't wanna go to the dealership back and forth cause it is bit far away from where I live.😂 Great performance Italian sports car doesn't last long. Anyway, enjoy your new qv. It will draw attention anywhere you go. I have been following your channel for a long time. Learned a lot from your diy qv videos. 😄
yes i got stuck 9 times walked back home many times in the sweltering summer heat but in the NYC area everyone drives aggressive and its so dangerous to have the car shut down on the highway. the warranty on my black one is also coming to an end soon so timing all seemed to work out here.
@@autofanaticcars stories like this keep me from buying the QV. it is such a lovely car, but it also has to be somewhat reliable.
@@autofanaticcars Well, qv needs warranty. Other than the fuel pump issue, it is blessed to drive this red devil . It will tease you to drive faster every time through the corner. Four seconds from 100km/h to 200km/h on highway. Funny thing is , you don't feel it's that fast. Active areodynamic is amazing. I guess cops hate qv owners cause I am either speeding or blocking the live lane (brake down). Haha
Congrats. Glad you stayed with the Alfa QV. I have learned so much from your experience. I sense some GTA Koshi upgrades on your to do list….
considering it but lets see i have plans to make some new products using the new car so stay tuned
I replaced the rear diffuser on my 2018 QV with a carbon fiber one from Koshi Group in Europe. The carbon fiber rear diffuser now matches the rest of the carbon fiber on the car. I wish Alfa Romeo would have offered this as an upgrade or standard on the QV.
Carbon door panel pieces would be incredible! Congratulations on the new QV, Phil!
Yes! Thank you!
When I got married, 1973, my wife came with a Fiat 850 Spyder. I had a ball driving that car - super fun. I hated “owning” it! My first and last Italian car. As always enjoy the videos - Good luck with the new Alfa. Happy motoring.
Congrats on the 2020 QV hope she runs much better!! Looks amazing in red!
Best colour on the Gulia. Trofeo white is also great...
I loved this red ever since my friend got his 4C in Alfa Rosso but i never saw an early QV offered in this color which is why i ordered black for my customer 3 years ago.
I have been trying to find one in Spain for 6 months with the right specification. Carbon seats, auto gearbox, Alfa Rosso... Very difficult. A lot of manuals over here which I might have to settle for. You made a great choice. Congrats.
check out Montreal Verde. exclusive for the QV. It will blow you away. Images cannot really capture the color properly.
Driven old Alfa 33 , alfeta 1.8 in the past , what made it emotional was the third pedal . You should look into getting a old school Alfa totally nostalgia
Sad to see one go but great to see the new one. It looks stunning! I’ve got my Stelvio the same color and I love it….pity you had reliability issues because of the water leak….
What’s better than an old Alfa QV - a new Alfa QV …..love the colour btw 🙌🏽🔥
Couldn't agree more!
Love the new Alfa ! And the old one too :(
Looks absolutely incredible. I just got a fully-loaded 2021 Stelvio Ti AWD and it is built like a bank vault, like you said the build quality feels like that of a BMW M550i. I hope you enjoy your new ride!!
man you are the best. alfa romeo for ever.
I originally ordered my ‘18QV on Monte Carlo blue. One story but ended up with Rosso Corsa. Definitely the best color for this car.
Sweet i love this color in all lighting conditions
Lou Malnati's is the B E S T pizza, Giordono's a close second and is not that thin, grease dripping stuff you guys like😄😉
we like neopolitan coal or wood fire pizzas lol
Lou's is the best.
@@autofanaticcars Woodfire pizzas are pretty good and I guess I assumed you were all about the NY style pizzas. I'm from the D originally and we've got our own style too but Chicago style deep dish RULES! That said, I've lived in Chicagoland since Dec of 2009 and thin crust is the most popular here and I don't get it one bit🙄🤔
I love the red! I have a 2017 in the same color, same interior colors but I have the Tunica wheels like on your black car. I would swap the wheels and send the 5 holes back with the black car! Great looking car!
I have an identical Alfa Romeo QV for 2018 that you are getting rid of and love the car! It doesn’t have some of the mods you did, but this 2021 looks amazing! The Carbon inserts on the doors would be a great look to my car.
That is a total win right there.
Congrats on the new car!
The door panel mods sound awesome, +1 on the carbon fiber door panels
Yee extended Alcántara would be awesome. no carbon seats here
You are my hero. I was so concerned you gave up on the car. You dropped even more love for it. Kudos sir!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful car. Congrats! Wow that launch at the end sounded like a beast.
It really is!
ALFA ROMEO GIULIA QV 🇮🇹 WOW OMG 🏆 😎
There’s that Alfa Romeo reliability….
Nice! Excited to see your upcoming videos of the new QV. I have been watching your videos for a while now and I pulled the trigger on ordering a new 2022 QV. Sadly, the 2022's do not have a carbon fiber option. I was able to get the carbon Sparco seats though. Anyway, cheers to the new ride!
sparco seats are a must have the other stuff you can do aftermarket
Spectacular car! Congrats.
Thanks!
She's a beauty , Congratulations, well deserved!!
Great to learn you we went again for the best sport saloon out there. My '17 with 45000 km has been pretty reliable so far, the only problem being a faulty fuel pressure sensor that was replaced 17000 km ago.
great to hear keep enjoying it
She's gorgeous, I was sad there for second thinking you got rid of it...well you did but you didn't
Looking forward to the content Phil, had my comp red 2020 Giulia Qv 6 months & 5k miles not 1 issue so far. Beautiful rare cars to see on the roads 👌🏾
enjoy it there special cars
I love the fact that u went with a different gulia! For a second I thought that you have moved away from Alfas..
many on my IG thought I was going to get the new ugly M3 for a spoof ha ha ha
Wow that red pops like crazy. Nice
Hi from England. I have almost exactly the same 2021 spec car on order, but with yellow calipers and a bit less carbon to speed up waiting times. Delivery imminent. Looking forward to your new content. If you can cover the 'open exhaust valve' option in Dynamic mode that would be interesting, plus how you feel the new model has improved. I've held off buying until now, but taken a leap of faith and sold my 911 GTS, partly based on your obvious enthusiasm for the car. The fact you have gone again makes me feel I've made the right call.
not comparable. US Spec has no opf / GPF. In England you have one since MY2021.
The correct colour and wheels for the Alfa 💪🏽👍🏽
Your new car has the want factor all other cars dream of!
The doorpanel must come in carbon! Just got my qv in Verde Montreal, the carbon parts looks outstanding
the 21 cars have petrol particulate filters in order to meet EU emission standards. That is why the exhaust is quieter
Carbon fiber all the way!
Was really disgust at the beginning...then i screamed out "f... Yeah the red one!!"
happy for you. Deserve it. Enjoy.
Félicitations from France.
Awesome. Can't wait for the new content. Been using 007 hydro gloss for a few months too on my 2020 QV and it's fantastic.
Good stuff!
I'm so jealous😎 love the red and the wheels!
Finally you got the right color/option combination, it’s a shame for the exposed carbon roof but good buy happy for you!
yeah being the roof is already carbon i did not really care to much if it had it exposed or not but i also was not willing to pay 10k over sticker just for that option that only costs 2k when ordering a car. the car in the USA that had the exposed roof did not have red brake calipers they were black and it has a full black interior no red which i honestly wasn't in love with and the other car had Technico wheels which I already have so this was how I made my choice. Im planning something very cool on this cars exterior soon
Finding a repair person you can have confidence in is the hardest part about owning one of these cars. They are complicated, rare and dealers charge high prices for service. My local dealer told me they charge the Maserati rate when working on a QV, not the standard Alfa rate. So far no issues at all with my 2019 QV, planning a two week trip through new england this summer. Hate to hear of others having reliability issues. Guess we'll never know whether the water caused the problems with Phil's car. He was the person who influenced my decision to buy a QV.
yeah i agree i think my car had something go wrong after sitting outside for 6 months for our very rough winter we had because it was perfect up until this winter being outside. I have my workspace at home occupied with the Ferrari and other cars so the QV had to stay out for all of winter.
I am familiair with leaking, model 2017. Water on the passenger floor. It is an recall from factory. The are some rubber things between engine room and passenger room That freeze in winter and is not perfectly water tight in cold weather. Under the passenger seat lots of electronics. Water and electronics are a bad combination.
Was the passenger Floor wet?
@Eric van Haren can you post more information on this water issues as my dealers attempt to fix it involved the HVAC motor and housing but it still leaked weeks after I did my follow up video and then the car becomes very unreliable with problem after problem.
Congrats on the new QV Phil. I already have the splash guards and I'm interested in the door panel mod. Did you ever think about offering a side bolster protector for the Sparcos? Like the ones offered to the Porsche community.
...and now the red one gets the flatbed treatment (but for a different reason)😋
Also if you are doing another centerline x-pipe, Alfa9supply has the new design with the front mounting hangers behind the flex section. This keeps the NVH down and allows the engine more movement on its engine mounts.
Looking forward to the new suspension install. Keep up the good content. Congrats again, you are living the life👍
NVH on this car gives character and the new ones are very well isolated so i might cut all the pipes off soon lol
Phil you always get the best cars!!! love it
Glad you like them!
I’d be interested in the Alcantara panels, congratulations on the new car!
I have KW DDC Plug and Play coilovers on mine. Work perfectly with factory DDC controls, and drive amazing.
Hi Chris thanks for posting can you share more info by emailing me directly and is your car a newer QV or early one?
The Rosso Alfa car loooks so much better and I too am a big black (nonmetallic) as well. BMW Jet Black is what I wished my E46 ZHP was instead of Balck Sapphire. Congrats on the upgrade brother. I would have swapped way sooner with how many times the black QV left you stranded. That is not ok for a modern car as reliability is the biggest advantage to a modern car over a classic or modern classic.
Congrats - I’m definitely envious of the 2020+ center console
it's way better and the shifter feels awesome
@@autofanaticcars the updates they made were so nice for improving the interior feel of the car. How’s the infotainment speed? I got my 2019 in 2020 and was so disappointed with the slowness of the touchscreen that I couldn’t convince myself to get the newer car (plus leftover 2019 savings were nuts)
Amazing-Love the new ride!
Glad you like it!
Congratulations! I look forward to seeing new videos
More to come!
Can I take your blackout center caps😂
Congratulations on the new car Phil 😉
We had a 2017 Giulia Ti Sport AWD...we just picked up our 2021 Giulia Ti Sport AWD Carbon...my wife said she didn't want anything else
I have not seen u drop a video about eng or any other problems with both your 350’s. The Red one had as many mods as the Quad, but damn I would have given up on that Alfa a long time ago......I was hesitant purchasing the first year model of the 350 because of the kinks involved in the first model but jump on it still. I feel Ford produced the best GT in American History with the 50 year anniversary 350’s, I feel that car, flat crank in all has set a standard the Europeans will have fun trying to beat for years too come. Don’t get me wrong, the rest of the car as far as body, interior, sucks but damn.....well worth the ride! Do your thing AF, much love, wish I could move thru cars like u do!
Loved the way you had it cleaned for the exit vid 👌👌👌😂
Thanks 😅
When you are bitten by the Alfa bug, you know it. Fantastic car.
Correct no carbon around front Grill emblem which I prefer. Car looks Great Phil. Looking forward to the modifications and other videos coming. Ciao!
thanks my carbon bezel shows up today cant wait to get it installed.
Love the colour mate ur a real one for getting another one would also be interested in the Alcantara door card👊🏽
Coming soon!
My 2017 QV was just at the dealer - I think it was the fuel pump issue too. Dealer said it wasn't.
let us know what your issue was and the repair it can help us all to see what is the common issue
Car was constantly throwing codes and would go into limp mode. I talked to a specialist (not dealer) and he said it's a known issue - needed to have software updated and new fuel pump. Dealer said it's not the fuel pump. Just did the software update. Now, car goes into limp mode maybe 2x a week but will "clear the code" after I start the car after leaving it sit for a few hours. Still a pain in the ass.
these cars can get crazy at times hope yours can get fixed for good soon
Great endorsement that you got another
yeah i have confidence in the brand and the early cars were growing pains but i accept that nothing in life is perfect all the time especially in manufacturing that even i have gone through in my business since the 90s. Il discuss this more in a future video.
Bro keep the fire energy. I have a ti sport q4….love your content! Would love to buy your products
Appreciate it!
The fault on your old QV could be the sensors in your turbo. Caused my QV to overheat damaging the cooling system.
watch my 3 year ownership video i discuss how the car was eventually repaired properly.
Congrats, now we have the same color :)
