I would like an an explanation why he had so much trouble with buying the house initially. I wouldn't want to go to social media to pressure the seller to do the right thing. I agree with others on this video; they didn't say anything about building permits and hookups. Some land tracts also have specific requirements of what kind of house you can put on the land. Due diligence is the phrase for today.
it only shows the building erecting. What about the housing permit, utility, electrical, water plumbing?
Video doesn't dive into all the extra expenses like electric hookup, sewage, and water. But a great concept for the right style of investor.
Same as any other mobile home. Varies by location. If your site is far from the utility lines it will be costly. Of course you can maybe go water well/septic tank as many mobile home dwellers do, and nowadays you can even go off-grid solar/wind power.

You still have to buy the land, pour a foundation, get permits, tie down, run utilities...cheaper to build traditionally given the SF.
Not cheaper but you get what you pay for. You’re better off buying a couple storage containers or turning a van into a mobile home… it’d be less dinky & far more convenient, that way.

I dunno, a few acres is cheap in our flyover state and 10 acres cost less than this entire setup and water/electric hookups.
Nah mate still way cheaper to do this especially if you can just buy a small parcel of the land saw my neighbor rezone his 1 acre for 5 tiny homes maybe cost like 10k max to get everything ready and hooked up.

got the same thing for just short of 20k as my new backyard office and gym its on 2 small slabs 9x4x2deep at each end great way to fill a problem but have had issues with the city

Yes it is criminal for municipalities to discriminate against mobile homes. That's big reason why there's a housing crisis. Mobile homes were a good solution to low-cost housing. My first home was a single wide.

This is a marketing video and not a person's actual experience. Besides unfolding it and caulking the roof, it doesn't show what else you have to do to set it up. Some of the shorts show set up on a flat spot with Kanji writing on a building, which is unlikely to be in Texas. Looks cool, but what are you really going to get. Plus all the red tape from the county or city you live in.
