Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the best Mexican red spaghetti also known as spaghetti rojo/ espagueti ala mexicana con crema! This spaghetti Is usually served as a side with many of our mexican dishes but let me tell you that Is just as delicious by itself! I grew up eating this type of spaghetti and is also my kids favorite 😍

Ingredients:
16 oz spaghetti pasta
1 cup crema mexicana
4 oz cream cheese( room temperature)
3 roma tomatoes
1/2 small white onion
1 garlic clove
2 Chile chipotles in adobó sauce
1 tbsp butter
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 tbsp chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1 serving of love 💕

Made this one today, it came out delicious. I made your version first, then tweaked a second version to my liking. I added Hickory liquid smoke, and a little bit of tapatio for heat. Your choice to put cumin was a nice touch to it, complimented the overall flavor.

I made this spaghetti tonight, and followed it to a tee. Wow! It was like nothing I have ever had before. I have always had the traditional Italian American type spaghetti. This is a keeper, turned out great. Excellent flavors. Thank you for sharing!

I love your videos Claudia! As I've written before, love how you get right to it, show everything you're using as well as listing the items. And I've come to notice, when you use a blender, you do not let it run until done. Seems like you cut away, come back and boom, it's done and you turn it off. So cool girl! Thank you for all you do! I just made this and it was absolutely delicious. My family loved it. Thanks for sharing your recipes. One suggestion I have is maybe mentioning the quantities of the items you add as you’re adding them because I had to keep rewinding to know the measurements to add.

As a professional cook I need to say NEVER put salt in water (especially cold water) before you add food to the pot ... the salt sits on the bottom of the pan and will react with the metal/corrode and that's how you get those little pits all over the bottom of your beautiful pots and pans. ONLY add salt to boiling water AFTER you add the food to the pot. :-) thanks.. I feel better now. This recipe looks delicious. It was funny how your bowl was enormous and your friend only had a little... you reminded me of my sister LOL ... Thank you...

She added salt to water that was coming to a boil. There is no culinary rule about adding salt to cold water its going to dissolve. Don't listen to baseless comments like this.

I always loved this type of "pink spaghetti", as my mom and I used to call it. It's like taking a sopa de fideo recipe and spicing it up for a spaghetti. Soo good.

Claudia! Thank you for this recipe. Ive been craving this since i tried it at a mexican wedding. I made it today and im so inlove. I tweaked it a little to my own tasting. I added three chipotle peppers and used sour cream because my local market didnt have mexican crema and i added pepper jack cheese! MMM SERIOUSLY! THE BEST!
