    My truck had the same issue except the terminals on the high pressure switch were corroded. Cleaned them up and it fixed the compressor to engage.

    Dude!! It worked. Tapped the sensor and I have AC. For the last 12 months I’ve spent over 1300 at 2 shops. And it’s a sensor!

    Thanks for the tutorial. Very informative. Nice to find a video that talks about the exact truck that I own....1999 F350 7.3L. Usually have to search forever to find something close.

    Great video - educational, yet not a snoozer...in depth and informative for those unfamiliar with the fundamentals, yet not a whole bunch of wasted O2. I dig it, well done my friend 👌 (Oh, and the "expands rapidly... ...back into a gas" word you were looking for is "atomizes")

    Thanks for the great explanation:
    My a/c system was replaced, condenser, evaporator, sensors, clutch, filter, accumulator except for the hoses, everything was flushed, vacuumed, and added 2 lbs of Freon but the system keeps cycling on and off, am I missing something???

      usually cycling on and off means your system is low on refrigerant, a good set of gauges will show you if that is the case, or if the pressure is going too high for some reason, the gauges will show you that too. Hobo Freight has some gauges that don't break the bank.

    what about a AC just shuts off completely, just sitting in park engine running and AC on working great, then it all just shut off, i dont have no power at the controls and have replaced all fuses and relay with new and still i turn the controls to on and max there is nothing, what else do i need to look for

      I'd Start by checking the ac clutch, to see if it is energizing. if it is I'd look hard at the blower motor being bad. if its not I'd look at the switch and or wiring connections to it.

    My 99 has no power in the hvac at all. It just quit one day. Could the relay under the hood be the issue with this?

      Have you checked for a blown fuse?

    • @SicilianSVT
      @SicilianSVT Год назад +1

      @@10-4JackWagon i have checked all the fuses, none are blown

    • @10-4JackWagon
      @10-4JackWagon  Год назад +1

      @SicilianSVT it's pretty hard to diagnose a problem over the internet. If your wiring is good, and the ac clutch kicks when you select AC : It could be the blower motor.
      If the ac clutch isn't reacting and it did before, it could be the switch.

    • @SicilianSVT
      @SicilianSVT Год назад +1

      @@10-4JackWagon actually nothing is reacting. The entire unit has no power when i turn the knobs, which leads me to believe that its a relay

    • @10-4JackWagon
      @10-4JackWagon  Год назад +1

      @SicilianSVT you could check by switching the # 31 relay with the # 30 in the engine bay power dist box. If it starts working, that relay was the problem. I'd also double check the #23 40 Amp fuse and under the dash the # 22 10 Amp fuse
