It’s simply not true. People are still buying them. Not as many as they want, but it seems to me they are doubling down that they can wear down the consumer to pay that much.
yes, they do...thats why they are selling.
Its DONE....just like every week *SIGH*
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS CHANGED BRANDON
Yet you watch every week.
It's just an update on market conditions. Relax
The downward pressure on vehicle price, is NOBODY BUYING THEM.
Here in CA (Bay Area) people buy new cars every 3-5 years. Crazy to me. Last truck lasted 20 years. The current truck gets less miles and i like it more, so it will go longer.
@@brettloo7588 Yeah, I'm the same way. My old 2002 Toyota Tacoma has 99K miles on it. Bought it new. Had a few dings and scratches from actually using it like a truck, so took it to an old school body shop where they massaged it, buffed out some spots and fixed the bumpers. Shot some clear coat on it. It's had all maintenance by the book since new. Gonna give it to my son this year. I'd like a new 4x4, if I could get a deal on one that fits my needs. But heck, these prices are completely unrealistic.
I tried to deal on a used 2022 GMC Canyon Denali they would not come down one penny, I have been looking for 3 months and I can't find what I want and if you do they won't deal.
Thirty years ago I bought a 1400 sq ft house for $79000. Now pickup trucks cost more than an average house from back then. Crazy times.
How much w old that same house sell for today?

I’m a trucker and the automotive sector is definitely slow. Who can afford these obscenely expensive trucks?
Bu bu but the clowns on here say it's record sales??? Full of S stealerships trying to gaslight in a desperate attempt to keep the people spending. Too bad they didn't get the memo, the consumer is broke and the economy is toast.
Paying more than 50k for a Chevy is crazy.
90,000 DOLLARS, plus interest and full coverage insurance, no way! Let then trucks lot rot!
Remember when in 2008 gas price was at its highest when people were getting rid of their trucks and dealers were marking the price down? Now imagine gas at 10$ a gallon and these trucks in dealer lots.
I agree these people and car makers just don't learn
Yes, the people who routinely buy these trucks are not smart. Few have suffered in life. Most, today, are spending their Boomer parent's money to purchase these lavish items claiming inflation is real. Then, they'll wait in line at Starbucks and Chick Fillet for 15 minutes for their $6 latte and $7 chicken sandwich.
Yea but it’s not 10$ a gallon. Not even close and quite frankly if you follow financial cycles it isn’t likely to go to 10$ for years to come.
Two days ago you said ford was going bankrupt 😂 now it’s GM
They all are. Stellantis will probably be first.
Hi Brandon. Those prices are horrible, especially when the sales and gas hog taxes are added.
And insurance.
Paying almost $100k for a vehicle is insane 😂.
It truely is.
pepper ridge farm remembers when +60k vehicles are for luxury. not for average(ish) full size trucks
Hell I remember when $50k was fully loaded luxury like BMWs not f150s
People will still buy these trucks, not knowing what the hell they're getting themselves into. There's a sucker born everyday.
$50k for a truck?! That's crazy!
You're getting a very basic truck for $50k definitely no 4 wheel drive
A value in today’s market
What do you mean $60,000?? Much, much higher than that!!
You got it wrong, $50K only gets you half a truck
I bought a 2017 silverado Crew Cab, 4wd, in 2019 for 30k. Dealerships have offered me 18-20 to trade my truck in, but then I look at other vehicles, and I would still have to get a loan on most. Prices are insane.
Prices have not gone down much in our area. Dealers are still selling vehicles and I still can’t afford one. So nothing has changed.
Americans would be happy with a $30,000 car that had just the basics. We dont need an all digital dash, surround sound or any other luxury.
That’s a Honda Civic.
Yeah, love my 07 Odyssey I paid $9200 in 2015. Purrs like a kitten. $1000 repair a year still cheaper then one of those things.
Why settle for the basics at $30k? Every other country can get into the Chinese market and get sweet cars with tons of options cheap. But hey you can't get the land of the bigots to want open and free markets. So, you'll get what they tell you.
Chevy Trax starting at $21,495
I think besides not affordable,is people are realizing that all brands have do many issues nowadays!
Older is better !
It’s like we’re going back in time with reliable vehicles
Still not seeing any drastic price changes at dealerships up here in the north. Prices are pretty much the same.
I saw an F100 today on the road. eggshell and seafoam green. Bench seat. straight six. Total beauty, I almost cried.
3 years from now “ it’s over “ lol bro understands the algorithm.
Exactly.

@@cameg1670the clock broke at midnight. Every video he tells us it is midnight. He is right. It is midnight.
More stealership clowns trying their hardest to gaslight. It is game over. Sorry not sorry. Hope you saved some of that money you made.
If I add full coverage insurance, registration fees and sales tax on top of the loan payment, I'm going to be paying more than my mortgage payment. Some how it just doesn't seem right that my monthly expense for a vehicle is greater than my housing cost.
Was in a group on Facebook a few days ago, someone was just beginning to comprehend (6 months after the purchase) the impact of their decision to buy a $70k+ truck @ 19.7% interest, I think their payment was over $1700 on the loan alone.
Sorry....but that truck is just ugly.
No Toyotas and fords are ugly
You got that right..one car dealer in an ad years ago said... "don't you buy no ugly truck!"
I totally agree. Here in AZ, these pavement princesses use them as every day daily drivers.
The GM trucks are the best looking these days.
It's why the cybertruck is selling. You don't even have to look good, just not be boring looking like all new cars
Inflation my ass. They are just greedy
Corporations are in business to make a profit.
EPA is preventing car companies from selling small cars .
@@jamesdallas1493 No they are not. Lazy car companies are not willing to put their engineers to work designing and building great cars. They just want to milk the high profit margins from trucks and SUV's.
Market crash inbound.
Get ready for 50-80% sale.
You mean GM's stock is going to crash. GM making lavish products to appeal to the righties, who aren't buying enough of them, for GM to remain profitable long term. When your widget is no longer wanted, your company's stocks are going to crash. But the market's doing great. Has been for ages. Still waiting for that 80% market "correction" to occur that everyone talked about back in 2018, 19, 20, and 21.
@@matthewsocal2540 Ford is also gonna crash, as they basically have no consumer vehicles in their lineup. The high margins they get from trucks won't save them when nobody buys a truck that costs 90 grand.
@@harryshuman9637 Agreed. Between all what you just said and the fact that Ford has filed for patents that allow police surveillance of cars around you, they're screwed. @@harryshuman9637 Whatever you do; don't short Ford. Ford will not crash, unless it's fleet sales tank. Ford sells the most to police, water, county, etc. They have for decades. We're basically subsidizing Ford. We need an open global market for cars and trucks. I'm sorry for my union bros and sis, but we must have open global markets on these things. Even at risk of losing our companies that don't produce what's desired reasonably. Time to bring back Reaganism and get rid of tariffs.

By the time most of these trucks get sold the frames will be half rusted out lol.
If some contractor pulls up to my house in a brand new truck, I'm sending him away. I ain't making his truck payment.
You get what you pay for and if someone is good, they should be able to command a higher rate.
That has nothing to do with it bud 😂
That new truck would help the contractor to do his business, stop being selfish and go and be an self-worth autonomous work force so you can afford this overpriced trucks.......

And even if they CAN afford a Caddy, not everyone WANTS a Caddy!
I bought a new car last year as I had 8200 equity in my trade. I wanted a 23 Accord EX but in Texas, my car insurance was going up 445 in my 6 months. A civic was 440 more. The lowest insurance in my 6 months was 235 for a 24 HRV EXL. I bought the HRV on the lower insurance alone. I paid 29,000. No mark ups. I financed 20,500 at 5.9 apr, not 9.97. I’m paying extra principal so in 11 months I’m down to 10,762. My payment is 342. My insurance is 229.

How about they build a modern Chevette that isn't garbage like the old one.
It’s not just GM and Chevy. My local Toyota and Ford dealers have a buttload of trucks, some SUVs, but few sedans at the Toyota dealer (since Ford has pretty much abandoned that segment). The trucks they do have are mostly the high-end trims. How can people afford those and a mortgage at current interest rates for both?
Time to bring back incentives; like $20k incentives.
GM sold over 800k trucks last year. Like 60k more trucks than Ford. Their sales this year are UP year-over-year. Don't expect GM to get that desperate any time soon. At most you'll see $8-10k off or 0% interest rates.
