    I'm a late-thirties momma and housewife. This was wonderful! Thank you for sharing sister in Christ! I can speak to saving... we recently had multiple car issues after deciding to replace 70-year-old windows in our home. We already used our saved money to pay for the windows, but we had a separate emergency fund that allowed us to purchase a "new to us" vehicle for our family. We are now replenishing our emergency fund, but we were so thankful to have had that money!

    I especially appreciated your last point of trying to be content. I am still learning how to discern the difference between needs and wants. It is a true testimony that you are able to do this even during very financially difficult times. It would be nice to seeing a wardrobe tour video and maybe some thrifting videos and especially sharing your thoughts on your choices and the things the Lord has taught you in these areas. How you apply a biblical mindset as you are shopping and creating your wardrobe.

      It is sometimes a challenge discerning the difference between our needs and wants! I plan on doing a video soon about clothing! I will also write down doing a video sharing my thoughts on these areas! I am currently working through it myself right now, and feel like I will be soon ready to talk about it after having some more wisdom and experience!

    Thank you for sharing this information. I have been a full time homemaker for 3 years and 3 years before that I worked part time but my priority has always been my home. I am not religious, I do follow a lot of homemaker channels and many are Christian. I was raised in a Mexican household where men are treated like kings- I don’t think I ever saw my brother wash a dish or wipe down a counter. I am here to open my mind to those with strong faiths and to be supportive of my fellow homemakers. I do notice that I have a quick aversion when women place their husbands on. Such a high pedestal. This is not to judge but to open up conversation with other traditional homemakers. It’s seems to me that there’s still a lot of internalized messages about men being a vessel for the lord and it is our job to pour into him in the name of the lord. It could be because of the way I grew up but I feel very averse to this way of thinking. Before becoming a homemaker I was a social worker that lectured on race and women’s rights. One thing I have learned and seen over and over again is that this way of thinking can be detrimental to the way we fairly see the world. I hear a lot of patriarchal undertones when I hear messages like this coming across on a platform like this. I could be biased to see what I have been taught to see ir so long. The oppression of women and marginalized groups. I am interested in hearing your thoughts. I too had my husband on a pedestal when I got married (met him when I was 20) before I went out into the world. Just a respectfully different opinion here: ladies, you are the vessel. You are the ones who contribute equally to this relationship, home management and child rearing are hard work that is truly undervalued in our society. Place yourself on the highest of pedestals and see yourself as deserving of the best. Also speak of yourselves as highly as you speak of your other half. Being married for 11 years I see my husband as my equal. I love him and care for him but I cannot bring myself to believe that he is a vessel of god. I think we are both flawed but trying our best just to exist in this world and that we are figuring this out together. He isn’t wiser or chosen or a special connection to a higher power. He is my life partner and we live in each other more than any couple I know but if I could go back I would have wished I realized this sooner. Again, just a different perspective and I welcome any ideas or conversations with other homemakers on this topic.

Also remember to always Plead the Blood of Yahusha(Yeshua) over all the things you have thrifted because we don't know who was the owner before, it's always good to have everything cover with the Blood of Yahusha. 🙏🏾❤️

      If you don't mind saying, what's your position on whether being a traditional submissive housewife is what all women are called to do by the Bible? For example, do you believe it's biblically permissible for women to have careers?

    • @TheBiblicalHomemaker
      @TheBiblicalHomemaker  7 месяцев назад

      Awe, that’s so cool!! You were from the Philippines, and still live there? I love it when I find someone with similarities as well! It makes me happy I am that to someone, lol!! Thank you for your sweet message❤️❤️

    • @TheBiblicalHomemaker
      @TheBiblicalHomemaker  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! In short, I don’t believe it is a sin for a woman to have a career. I believe all women who have husbands are called to submit just as all men who have wives are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church.

    • @technoloverish
      @technoloverish 7 месяцев назад

      Oh, my bad, I just saw that I asked the same question in another comment. Sorry about that 😊 But yeah, I was just wondering because some very traditional Christian people have gone as far as saying that women should be barred from careers, although maybe that's just a fringe but loud sect of Christianity

    Not one income... The title is incorrect. Thats what let you to grow your youtube channel to monetize and make money. Nothing wrong, but the title is so misleading to others. It should be something on the lines of - "Just one income and now trying the RUclips way"... This way you wont mislead other girls :)

    • @TheBiblicalHomemaker
      @TheBiblicalHomemaker  3 месяца назад

      Yes, one income is correct! RUclips monetizes your videos whether you’re getting paid or not. I am not in it for the money. And full disclosure: for the past two years of uploading I’ve only received $100. I would not call that an income, couldn’t even file taxes on it😂

      Sorry for the late response, I have been having health issues.
      The Bible teaches that we are all vessels of God (“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭6:19‬)
      Not just men (“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians‬ ‭3:28‬ ‬‬)
      However, God gave men and women distinct roles laid out in his word. (Titus 2 KJV)
      The Bible also teaches us not to hold ourselves on a pedestal but to lift other up above ourselves (“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬‬)
      My husband and I place each other on a pedestal, and do our best to humble ourselves. (“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”James‬ ‭4:10‬)
      According to God’s word, men and women are equal in value, and importance. However, their equally important roles differ.
      Ultimately, the first and greatest commandment is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37
      There’s a lot of information on this subject, that I cannot convey in a RUclips comment. However, this is a very helpful resource.
