Howww... Brazil has some similar landscapes along its huge coastal range, but the VN inselbergs are karstic (aka limestone like) in nature while ours are granitic or gneiss inselbergs. Lovely landscape and similar to Guilin in China. I'm amazed how well covered with forest those hills are because karstic soil is poorer and infiltrates most of the water. In Europe, limestone hills are covered with more bush like vegetation because of the mentioned issues.
