Veggie food is easy to find! I went with my partner in 2020, we traveled the whole country (Hanoi, Cat Ba, Hoi An, Hue, Dalat, Ho Chi Minh, just to name a few cities we visited) and we always were able to find lots of great vegetarian food. We thought it was one of the easier countries to find veggie food in. It is a good tip to look for restaurants or menu items with the word "chay" which is the way the monks eat food (everything vegetarian).
@@sudipa8645 I am not sure, there were some very good Indian restaurants in Vietnam. Also there were quite a few restaurants ran by Buddhist monks that were fully vegan. I wasn't looking for Jain food specifically though.
@@Akritisingh2609 I didn't really have a budget planned out, but for 2 people we probably spent about $3000-$3500 USD, including flights from the US. We were there about 5 weeks and also visited Cambodia.
I have been to Vietnam a few times and although a lot of people don't speak English they will still try very hard to communicate with you so that you can understand and it almost always works out well. I have been to a few countries where i have tried to speak the local language (very basically) to ve helpful and people have been quite rude and unhelpful. @@huuloiphanle6837 Hi, thank you! I am going to Nha Trang, would you recommend some other places too? Which are nearby ( not Dalat) maybe 5-6 hours away, any picturesque beauty? 😀
There are many vegeterian restaurants in Vietnam i promise you. Some are free for poor people, some could be held at pagoda (not always held and it's quite difficult to explain to you why many people will eat as a vegan at that day, also free). We also have buffet for it, too. Or you could even order the restaurant to make it 'chay' for you even it is not in the menu. Fun fact is that as a vietnamese i have never been to any caves in our country (actually half of my country i haven't been to even it is not that big--> my country is as big as a province in china if i have to compare) Btw, thank you for your review. Love from VN🫶❤
As a vietnamese, I totally agree with your opinion. Thanks for sharing your experience, so more people can know our country. Just one thing i dont agree is about the cave. We, vietnamese people, try to protect it from tourism exploitation because of the negative effects of tourism on this cave (gabarge, killing ecosystem there...). I really hope that you visit other places in VN but not the cave. It is the most beautiful when we leave it untouched. And I highly recommend Ha Giang Loop for adventurous people, central coastal cities (NhaTrang, DaNang...) for beach lovers, HoiAn for quietness and Hanoi and HCM city if you want to visit the biggest cities in Vietnam.

Oh no it's wrong! As a tropical country and a prominent exporter of agricultural products, fruits and vegetables in Vietnam are very very diverse. We eat vegetables every day, in every dish. In the case you wanna find a veg restaurant, just follow the advice in the video.

I just came back from vietnam. Ha long bay is one of the top places to visit in vietnam. It is not overrated 😅. Also, contrary to popular opinion, a decent vietnam trip is not cheap ... be it food, travel or even street shopping. Food is an issue for Indians here, unless one finds indian restaurants or is generally quite flexible.
Ha long bay is super overrated. I'm VN and I went there once. If you have the money, go to Da Nang instead. If you're stuck in the north, I recommend Sam Son.
I did backpacking for 3 months there. 5000km north to south on bike 😃 You are right cat ba bhot mast hai. Tent aur sleeping bag le ke gaya tha. Vietnamese watch a lot Indian TV serials. My highlight was Ma pi leng pass china border ke paas north me.

I understand how many would think the Ha Long Bay trip was over rated, but my family and I went on a cruise through the islands and had the time of our life. It was an amazing decision.
@@yakshashreyas In Vietnam, you can find a lot of vegan restaurants. This is because in their religion, people often follow a vegan diet for a certain number of days per month (usually 4-10 days) or even for extended periods of 1-3 months. Additionally, many individuals in Vietnam choose to be vegetarian as well. As a result, most Vietnamese foods incorporate a wide variety of vegetables, so you need not worry about finding vegan options.❤
