At my high school, we never performed anything until we got it clean. That motivated the performers to practice harder. We did choreography too in parades and in pep rallies, but we always made sure it was clean. So yes, even high schools can play clean if they try.
That's awesome. This stuff really gets you pumped up, but also slightly aggravated, knowing that your drumline will never go out on a limb and do stuff like that. I'm gonna go join their line.
I love it how everybody is a music genius in the comments. I guarantee you half of y'all are freshman or even 8th graders or something...shut it down children! They did pretty good.
It was more fun to watch them improve as the year went along, was kinda tough to follow along and record without making comments... Yeah that is my son's band....
There's also the entertainment and crowd pleasing factor. Some people could care less about their score as long as they know that people liked the show and that they did their best, and I'm sure they did.

Now i dont think you are allowed to have a DCI logo as your "profile" pic and then come and hate on high school drumlines. Maybe i'm crazy, but think if you have anything to say it should go like this, "you guys and gals did i great job! you have potential to be really good, you just need to work on gelling. Make sure the snare rifts really match each other." You should give that a shot! i've heard that might get you farther in life.

Nitpicking a bunch of high schoolers about some snare licks is a bit unfair in my opinion. If this was done by a college band, then I would agree with the criticism.
@tannerpanthers1 dude its dirty way before they start to do the jerk. where im from its music first, visuals second. cant put the lights on a christmas tree before you set the base. props for doing the dance, but its not what i look for in a quality drumline. i blame that movie for people losing sight of why we drum in the first place.

I do play and we had 35 in our line so yes we needed to be clean but they are small and it is not as critical to the people watching, like us parents.
