What a pleasure to be a beginner and to make something beautiful so quickly and easy!!! Thank you so much for the time you spent to make such a detailed video ❤ greetings from Greece 😘😘😘
Greece?! Cool! I am so happy to hear this from a crochet beginner! I try hard to design projects that a beginner can handle and still keep them stylish and fun. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow! Every time you post it’s a beautiful creation! Your work is so defined and perfectly in tune! This Matt Rosensweet is soon to be TBKCrochet. Can’t wait to follow you with my creative face!
First time viewing your channel I subscribed 🤓 I found you as I was searching for a shrug, your pattern is very nice, thank you for your time and artistry I was thinking that I will put a border around the sleeves also to match
I'm so excited to finally make this. I have basic measurements since I'll be changing the yarn and hook size. I'll be using a weight 4 bamboo & silk blend with a 4.5 mm hook. I know it will be heavier but so excited to make my 1st shrug. Thank you!
@@CrazyCoolCrochet I've been crocheting along to get the measurements I noticed my length is spot on with the pattern directions. However, I'm not sure what width I should be at I'm roughly at 43 in. In other words I'm all sorts of confused on what the measurements should be width wise. Can you please help on getting me back in the right direction. lol Thank you so much for such a great pattern.
@@houseceo2426 Dimensions Size Small: One panel height= 20 inches; width= 27 inches I"m not sure why your width is at 43 inches. It can still work. Mine is super tiny by design. The front pieces do not meet up in the center. It is very wide open in the front, again, by design. You can fold your panel per the instructions at 10:10 and 13:21 , to get an idea of the final width of the shrug on the body.
@@CrazyCoolCrochet If I were working on a small that would be great lol haha. I am trying to make a med. as well as an Xtra large. I have 132 st. with the yarn & hook. That I chose. I may have bitten more off and strayed to far off the pattern.
How many skeins for size 20 please. I thought it must be 2! I love the shrug. I did one last year a lovely pink colour although it was a larger size. It was a gift and was loved from the first minute she saw it.😊
As I always say in the videos...the detail is in the description area, the white space below the video. Here is the link that you will find there: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-summer-shrug-free-pattern/
I went to your website link and could not find various sizes ad directed in the comments...only photos and descriptions of the shrug, then an additional link to esty account. Did I miss something? Thank you for the video.
For Large or Xl and Xs how many chains have to increase or decrease? Very easy model. Thanks for sharing this. If you give measurements details in description it would be more better to understand.
Chain 141 for Large/XLarge. and for Small ch 125. There is no XS as this pattern already runs smaller. The detail is at the blog as I mention in the video: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-summer-shrug-free-pattern/ and of course in the printable pattern at my Etsy shop. The link is above the comments here.
No. The border rows are done as part of the main panel, not added after the fact. The panel starts with the sc rows and ends with the sc rows which become the border when the panel is folded and seamed. Please watch the video at 2:13 for a quick explanation, then watch the remainder for the detail. I hope this helps.
I made this but used a different yarn, a dk yarn, Caron naturally spa, and it came out too small, like a kid size. I’m gonna try again with the yarntopia yarn.
Keep in mind, for your next go-round, that the design is supposed to be small. Maybe try the next size larger? crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-summer-shrug-free-pattern/
If you use a 3.5mm I would go up to the next size. This is designed to fit small so using a smaller hook will result in an even smaller shrug. Of course this assumes you are also using a #2 yarn. Thank you for watching!
I'd like to make this in a uk size 18 / 20, how many stitches do you recommend to chain and would I work more than 4 rows of the single crochet stitches
@@CrazyCoolCrochet thank you. I just don't know which size is best to follow for UK size 20. And would I do 8 rows of single crochet instead of the 4? I would like to make this to wear to my daughters wedding next week.
@@karenallott4964 I am not familiar with UK sizing so I Googled the equivalent to US sizing. A size 20 would be an 18 (US) which is equivalent to a 2X (US). For this pattern you would follow the instructions in the link I provided for the size 1X/2X. This pattern runs small, so if you want this roomier go with the next larger size.
Thank you for sharing again such a beautiful pattern😍. Sorry for my stupid question but if I want the "arms" to be longer must I make a bigger size please? I want my arms more to cover up (sorry for my bad english).
Not a stupid question at all and your English is fine! Yes, you can make a bigger size for longer arms. The overall design is narrow and small on the front, so making a bigger size will not be "too" big.
@@tbird4467 At 03:54 it says the tutorial is for size Small. I also wear a 6 as of the filming of this video so you should be all set. If you want to work from the written pattern go here: crazycoolcrochet.com/crochet-summer-shrug-free-pattern/

@@cyndymoelter1198 THank you so much for subscribing! I truly appreciate that. As for the yarn amount, it is very minimal because the shrug is quite small, intentionally, for a light summer shrug. If you want more coverage go to the next larger size. Enjoy!
