Both China and the US have no choice because AI is material and, therefore, impartial. When the civilizations clash, the outcome is already determined.
As the leader of the free world, the US must defend the Western legal system and its foundation, which is Christianity.
Since Western law and Christianity are both some books, and Christianity only has the Bible, the entire Western intelligence is based on reading and understanding or interpreting these books.
I want to remind you that China has none of the above or is free from all of the above. So, from the start of AI, the West plays defense, and China plays offense.
However, reading should be the easiest task for any AI machine or program.
Therefore, the first Western jobs that AI will take over will be priests, lawyers, and judges, who represent high IQs in any Western country, if not the highest.
      Can you imagine?
If Western AI is allowed to read medical books and patient test results, will it replace Western doctors, another group of Westerners with high IQs?
At that time, machines were used to replace low-IQ jobs. Now, machines will replace high-IQ jobs such as priests, lawyers, judges, doctors, and perhaps even leaders.
I want to remind you that this machine is impartial.
If the West lets AI read law, the Bible, and medical books, the results should be impartial. Guess who will be happy or sad, white people or black people?
Therefore, by the definition of AI, Western AI will never read law and the Bible better than lawyers and priests. Generally speaking, Western AI will never read better than Western humans.
So, if Western AI can't read better than humans, what else can Western AI do better than humans?

History is clear. Take any industry, technology or device that China didn't make before and fast forward twenty years. Take for example olympic springboard diving. China didn't even exist in the 70's. In the 80's they already had good divers. In the 90's they took over. The rest could only try to catch up and it's been a good thing for the sport. The same pattern happened in gymanstics, smartphones, now cars and soon in aircraft and ships. Let's accept that the real reason why it bothers everybody so much is because we always thought they were inferior. What happened centuries ago when China had the industrial edge? Nothing. Humanity benefitted from compass, paper, imprint, silk, etc. Technologies are (should be, at least) for the progress of humanity, not for the progress of some countries

😂🤣 No way. I work in the semiconductor industry. They do not have the tech, nor had enough time to increase the yield.
We have some incredible chips far more advanced than what you have seen in public. But it is just way too expensive to mass produce.
example, if a wafer yields 10000 chips and it cost 1M to produce, the devide 1m by 10000 and you will get how much per chip. The issue is getting to the point where you get a high enough yield.
right now, in the high end frontier, we are only getting 1 chip if we are lucky.
The reason it costs so much is because this wafers go thru thousands of processes, each step uses specialized tools, the tools require electricity and also maintenance, each step take time too, it can be 10 minutes, some processes takes hours, up to 10 hours in a single process. chemicals technicians, office space, all that gets added to then over all cost.
China does not have access to the top of the line tools. Micro conducting is a global effort with thousands of companies working together in different processes, china is excluded from the new tech we are using.
So no, they can’t pull it off.

blah blah blah... it doesn't matter if whoever you work for has more advance chips, that is if you really do work for one. If they can't mass produce it, then it's just garbage stacked on the shelf, while China uses older version tools to produce similar level of chips produced by newer tools from the west.
And true, China don't have the same kind of new tech tools, but it's not like they are sitting there doing nothing.
The way you express things feels like you are not from the industry, it's more like you are just reading off from some old articles on google or something....😅you probably want to go update yourself before pretending to be in the semiconductor industry

This video conveniently left out WHY Huawei's cell phones were banned in the U.S., it's because it was discovered that on the firmware and bios level of the chipset, Huawei had Trojan horse mechanisms that could allow Huawei to intercept your data. Regardless of your firewall, vpn, or encryption on your device. The chipset and bios could litterally 'spy' on what you're doing on your device. If American government officials were to use Huawei devices for normal use, this means that their private usage of their own devices, could have been intercepted by Huawei, and in turn, the Chinese government who has control and access to Huawei. This is no different than why Huawei wants to compete with Nvidia now, over AI processors. Nothing has changed, just a new tactic. If Huawei were to insert their chips into AI systems, that means the Chinese government now has control over how humans utilize AI systems, and thus the Chinese government will rely on Huawei's AI systems, to spy on the rest of the world. All they did was purchase Nvidia chips, in order to reverse engineer them, and try to copy them. Huawei is a Chinese government controlled company, and they will never be trusted by the majority of the Western world again.

Accusations require evidence. If you had evidence, you wouldn't be here talking about it.

@KC-jo9cm some of you RUclips wanna-be pundits crack me up. What do you mean "where is the proof?" A simple Google search for the term "Huawei spying" will bring up numerous articles, of when multiple countries (including Switzerland) have banned Huawai network infrastructure, over indication of espionage. The whole point of it being called "spying", is that it's hard to prove how data is being obtained by the Chinese government, if the Chinese government won't actually acknowledge they are benefiting from Huawei's backdoor open holes. The "proof", is that indeed researchers have discovered backdoor security vulnerabilities in Huawei software code, that would allow for hacking. Researchers have questioned on whether these backdoor hackable vulnerabilities, have been internationally placed there by Huawei on purpose. But it was enough for multiple countries to ban both their phones, as well as their newer 5G network equipment. Spend less time being fake investigators on RUclips, and more time doing simple Google searches to get the answers to your own questions.
